Thousands of these car are daily driven car here in south east Asia.. but when i see this in internet then i understand how good these car is ❤️ from 🇧🇩
I wish they would bring back the wagon to America. Currently, they sell a nice wagon in Europe but not the United States. Your only option for a decent reliable middle-class wagon is a Subaru Outback. There's literally only one brand that offers a wagon in that category. It's sad to think that every other wagon costs more than $55,000
My dad had a 93 corolla sedan of the same color with the 5 speed manual, I remember that car being a part of my childhood and my first experience with a manual car as a kid. I would sit in the backseat and watch him shift it in awe because back then I had no idea what he was doing just that it was super cool because it was the only car like that in our family. Fast forward years later I now drive a 2022 corolla hatchback with a manual. Time is crazy will definitely always have a soft spot for this corolla.
These are SUPER RARE, at least in Germany. They were once common, but nearly all of these wagons have been exported (all the other bodystyles are still common). Sometimes there’s isn’t even a single one available online, whereas you can find pretty much any other car in Germany from that era.
There is one in the same colour (or possibly in the bright green) in my little town in Finland, many of the early 90s Corollas are still driving around here but that seems to be the only wagon one. It looks to be in good condition, even the paint looks good. The badge says 1.6 Si, I don´t know if that´s the base model in europe. Almost every japanese car here has been a manual, auto was a very rare sight, mostly on cars imported from the USA
I am an American that lives in Barvaria. I owned 1997 Geo Prizim (Corolla with a geo brand GM Toyota partnership) and 2003 American made Corolla. In the US Toyota had the “scion” brand that I dont think ever been in Germany. The Pontiac Vibe was another GM Corolla/ Matrix. Here in Germany I seen corollas that are completely different like Toyota Hilux, Aygo and other Toyota’s I never seen. I also see VW and Mercedes pick ups that would sell very well in USA. I imported my 2001 Honda prelude to Barvaria, never seen another one so far.
I've owned one of these wagons for over a year now and I've fallen in love with it! They're amazing economy cars and I recommend if anyone finds one they get it!
The last Corolla wagon in North America. In Europe the next generations all had wagons...and hatchbacks, even two door hatchbacks. With the 9th generation they also got an MPV version that was called the Corolla Verso.
Dash cubby was for tapes. I had one of these. (Sedan) They fit perfectly into that spot. I still have a 2000 Camry that my daughter drives now. Toyotas are SUCH good cars. They also make really good sewing machines! This paint colour reminds me of the blueberry Jelly Belly. LOL
I have a 94 Camry. Only has 73K miles now, so I'm not getting rid of it. Kind of a boring car, but it's INSANELY economical and still looks good. I thought it had a four-speed auto though? The 80's corollas are so damn cool, but for the mid-90's I think the Camry is the way to go.
@@rushnerd the 7th gen corolla (as seen in the video) came in a 3spd auto and 4spd auto depending on the trim. the mid-90s camrys are sweet! i still seem them everywhere lol. i actually have an 89 corolla sr5 now with a manual that i love! enjoy your camry it'll last forever :)
@@lah-dx3zb Thanks. I honestly wish I didn't need the money because I would have loved to keep it forever, but I sold it recently. All to support a 01' GT-S Celica as my new DD. Obviously this was over twice the cost of the Camry with twice the miles, but I really wanted it. It's a pretty cool car, but it needs $1,000's in minor work still...
There’s a 1990 Corolla wagon 4wd and sedan rolling around locally I want to buy that car so bad lol love me a 90s Corolla! Just runs forever as many in the world do.
I bought my 96 wagon 10 yrs ago with 88k. Took me months to find one. Was hoping for a manual, but the automatic trans shifts flawlessly. It has been my daily driver since. Has been on many road trips across America. Will cruise at 80+mph and get 28 mpg. It now has 245k. All original engine, I change the oil and have replaced the timing belt. That's it. Doesn't burn or leak oil. Original drive axels lasted 200k. Everything works. I will never get rid of this car.
Zack, Today Corolla Touring Sports wagons are made in England for the European market. In Japan Toyota makes a slightly smaller Corolla Touring wagon as well as a Fielder wagon.
I've got the south asian version of this, used to haul stuff. It's got a 1.5l 5 speed manual and leaf springs in the back. Roll down windows and no power steering. I love it! I threw on a subaru bumper on mine..
My mom bought a 93 DX wagon 5MT new. We loved that car. In 2020 it finally lost the war to rust. After searching for months she finally replaced it with an Outback.
IMO it's the last good looking gen of camry/corolla even though it is a bit bubbly. They have serious potential to looks very good with some mods as well.

I used to own one of these back in the day in Turkey. I believe the available model then was a 1.3 L engine without A/C. The reason I wanted to comment is a little feature of the small shelf (around 4'20".) Notice the small notches at the back. They were meant to keep audio cassettes straight when stored 😊
My uncle used to own a Corolla wagon like this when I was young, but I think it was a fully loaded one called Corolla G-Touring with all the bells and whistles. Really loved that car, super practical and super comfy on road trips.
An car. It'll keep working day in and day out carrying whatever you need with no drama. It just works. This has to be rarer than the ultimate 90s Toyota wagon, the dual-wiper Camry. I don't think I've ever seen a Corolla wagon. I like it. I don't understand the appeal of leather seats besides being easier to clean. Give me nice soft cloth every day. Breathable, not burning hot in the summer, not freezing cold in the winter, no squeaks. Toyota has the right idea selling the Century with wool upholstery.
Yeah, always been a cloth guy. Leather is just impossible in the summer or always cold. My 94 Camry seats are absolutely PERFECT. God they are so comfortable and feel so nice. I've been in a lot of newer cars that are a joke in comparison. To that end the cloth seats in my 88' Supra are the best I've ever used. I don't think any new car could hold a candle to them. mid 80's-90's Toyota is really seriously business with engineering and quality.
In this gen the corollas in the 1.8 were actually a decent economy performer. Their power figures weren't anything special but they managed to make their torque low down meaning your in like peak power at 3k which is really good for street driving and even a bit or fun on open roads
we dont have that variant here in the Philippines but those Corollas are overly reliable in a good way... we still have plenty of 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th gens driving on our roads. i myself own an 8th Gen Corolla, locally nicknamed "Corolla Lovelife".... and for 21 yrs it drives like a gem...
Here's how reliable and long-lived those cars are: The E101 Corolla is practically the national car of Afghanistan. I was there in 2010 and I there were Corolla and Hilux clogging all the city streets. The 1990s E101 chassis seemed to outnumber the older *and* newer Corollas. So, a lot of those cars were pushing 15 or 20 years of age, driving on bad roads, with bad gas (and owners who couldn't necessarily read their names, much less the owners manual) and they were still running. There were so many Corollas, I read that some mechanics didn't bother to learn how to repair any other car.
Looks like a baby version of the Camry wagon. I happen to own a very clean 95 Camry sedan same exact year as this little wagon and I do love the fact that it's a five-speed. Nice car!
My daily driver is a 1995 DX sedan, same interior but a terrible deteriorating paint job and honestly I'm jealous of people that have the wagon. Anyway, this car has had 7 previous owners and I will be its last, this car rules. I was so excited to see your video pop up, thanks for making it! PS: you can totally fit a stack of 8' 2x4s in the sedan if you remove the back seats. lol.
I have a 94 Camry myself, picked it up last year and i'm the 3rd owner at 73K miles now. She's going to be around a LONG time. It's in really damn good shape, but yeah the clear coat is just boiling off, it's really too bad, I don't think they did a very good job painting these at the factory because my 88' Supra's paint is still doing very well (except for the bumpers.) As for cargo, I've never had a sedan with more space than this does. You could pretty much move anything you want to. Even my Supra has a bunch of room which is unheard of for a sports car these days.
knowing there will never be a group of adults who all learned how to drive on a 98 corolla and had to live with it as their first car is really depressing
I believe this shape is ae100 , one significant of those wagons are rear suspension is leaf springs , (almost indestructible) . but riding quality is rough. I owned one of those with diesel engine , 2C diesel engine back my native country. Chassis number is CE106

I did know at least one family with one of these. But my family used to have a 96 Camry wagon, so I can very much relate. I hope you get to review a Camry wagon some day!
I looked up on Wikipedia this generation of Carolla and there was a high output Carolla engine available I believe in Japan, rated at 180hp. I don’t remember if it was the 1.6 or 1.8. Wish I would have bought one of these Carolla wagons for pizza delivery years ago. In Japan they sold diesel 4 wheel drive versions of this body style Carolla wagon.
Just seen one in the lot owned by this sweet old lady it was such in great condition I had to check out a video to learn about it! I thought it was an older Subaru at first
In 2017 i learned to drive in one of these with 501k miles. It was my driving instructor's car. Had the pedals on the passages side as well. Was a sedan. I fell in love with these corollas and have been looking to buy one ever since. Im also 6 foot 7 and fit pretty much perfectly in only this Generation.. oddly enough. From like may-july of last year i was looking for one. But none where popping up for sale. / because at the time... gas was $7 a gallon. Now these sedans are popping up a lot more / and some wagons!! Im butthurt now. I ended up buying a 1998 Toyota camry 4 cylinder XLE. But i still have my eye on these! .
my first car same color but sedan first thing to do with it was to put 15s kosei japan wheels and tanabe super down precedeo lowering springs, sheepdog n1 muffler very fun car to drive lol
I'm currently lusting over getting the sedan as the first car I buy with my own money, however with the 4AGE 20V Blacktop engine and if I'm lucky a 6MT with the LSD. It would be amazing to have the wagon body but they're unfortunately too rare and command a decent premium over the sedan
There’s nothing like Toyotas from the 90s these days Toyota has lost there way hell tbh in my option all auto manufacturers have when I see cars like this it’s always a treat just a fun funky old Toyota still driving around!
When I was in Afghanistan in 2010, I saw E92 and E101 Corollas everywhere. Mechanics there can't necessarily write their names or read a manual, but they could keep 20-year-old Corollas running. It seemed like pretty good evidence that they were not only tough but idiot-proof.
For the last year I’ve been looking for 93-97 Corolla wagon 5 speed or 03-08 Vibe or Matrix 5 speed I could buy needing work, fix it myself and use for pizza delivery. I missed buying a 5 speed Vibe needing a clutch last spring for $750. It sold fast. Looks like the Vibe sits higher and it’s probably a little bit safer in a crash. I’m 5’11” slender and my knees bother me if the driver seat sits low. Is that car in the video for sale?
Plus the TOYOTA CAROLLA is a wagon and the TOYOTA CAROLLA wagon is in the year 1995 but the only way that you can get it as a TOYOTA CAROLLA WAGON is if you get it with a manual transmission if you bought it in 1995. For me it's 😭.
I Have a 93 Automatic, Wagon With 32k Original Miles Sitting in My Garage...Kinda Fakd Up an Didn't Keep Up on Registration So Now It's 5 Yrs Back 😢😭😭😢 I'ma a Idiot 😂😅
I picked up a 94' Camry in great shape last year with only 71K miles for $3,700. I don't feel like I'll ever sell it because at that mileage, I'll probably have it my whole life and MAN is that a value.
Toyota really needs to make these again. I honestly don't know why they don't make them anymore.

Отличный обзор! Снято с душой и любовью к старому, но верному автомобилю.
I wish you would have demonstrated the rear seats folding down and if they go all the way flat for camping.
I have the 98 Corolla with beige interior n it's a runner and it's about the same but I got the lil sudan with 1.6 I like it👍
That cassette tape case album storage in the middle of console.
But i still have my eye on these! .
Shit good to know! I’m at 330k miles!! I hear that bet that there’s a 90 Corolla 4wd rolling around locally sick to see one!!
My dad drives pne of these in Kenya.. had owned it since 1994
What a unicorn! Good luck finding another one like it.
We have many of them here in the Caribbean, Trinidad particularly... third world country things lol
Imo the 2007 Corolla was the last good Corolla with the alteeza style tail lights these 90s Toyota Corolla and candy wagons are just sick!!
90's cloth seats are truly unrivalled...
My seats in my Corolla are not ripped at all after 25 years!!
my first car same color but sedan
first thing to do with it was to put 15s kosei japan wheels and tanabe super down precedeo lowering springs, sheepdog n1 muffler very fun car to drive lol
Pontiac vibe Zach please 🙏
They still make these in Japan
Search “Toyota Axio Fielder”
Compact wagons look so weird, at least to Americans. You never see compact wagons driving around.
I'm currently lusting over getting the sedan as the first car I buy with my own money, however with the 4AGE 20V Blacktop engine and if I'm lucky a 6MT with the LSD.
It would be amazing to have the wagon body but they're unfortunately too rare and command a decent premium over the sedan
name of the intro song please
There's an old dude in my town who has one of these in great shape lol
What part the Illinois you are. I want to see it with my son , he's really into 90's Toyota.
There’s nothing like Toyotas from the 90s these days Toyota has lost there way hell tbh in my option all auto manufacturers have when I see cars like this it’s always a treat just a fun funky old Toyota still driving around!
I've only ever bought 80's 90's cars and that's never changing
Wats the price for this car
The privacy cover is so so hard to find
It actually has surprisingly auto shut off headlights
will outlast any new crap built today. Corollas are tanks!! We LOVE ours, not a wagon but a sedan
When I was in Afghanistan in 2010, I saw E92 and E101 Corollas everywhere. Mechanics there can't necessarily write their names or read a manual, but they could keep 20-year-old Corollas running. It seemed like pretty good evidence that they were not only tough but idiot-proof.
love this guy
Stuff the Biggest wheels you can fit, buy a stereo system thats worth more than the car, tint ALL of the windows and you'll be puerto rican 😄
bro the algorithm stopped recommending me for like a week wtf
For the last year I’ve been looking for 93-97 Corolla wagon 5 speed or 03-08 Vibe or Matrix 5 speed I could buy needing work, fix it myself and use for pizza delivery. I missed buying a 5 speed Vibe needing a clutch last spring for $750. It sold fast. Looks like the Vibe sits higher and it’s probably a little bit safer in a crash. I’m 5’11” slender and my knees bother me if the driver seat sits low.
Is that car in the video for sale?
I’ve got a 96 Corolla leaking oil and tran oil needing shift solenoids

Where are you located? I’m in Stillwater Minnesota. Is yours a wagon?
Plus the TOYOTA CAROLLA is a wagon and the TOYOTA CAROLLA wagon is in the year 1995 but the only way that you can get it as a TOYOTA CAROLLA WAGON is if you get it with a manual transmission if you bought it in 1995. For me it's 😭.
I would love to buy this type of body cars
got a 2022 6 speed corolla hatch ill submit it.
I'm looking at a '96 Corolla Wagon with an automatic transmission and 85,000 miles
toyota caldina 1995 is also good not gonna lie but this Corolla is great
1.6 was 105 hp
1.8 was 115 hp.
Did not know that TOYOTA made a CAROLLA into a wagon back then 🤨
forgot these existed lol
Salve do Brasil tenho um corolla wagon 1995 1.8 automático 😁
In myanmar there is alot of these car
Can’t believe that Toyota did a 1994 Corolla into a Wagon So weird
7AFE 1.8 liter motor
I Have a 93 Automatic, Wagon With 32k Original Miles Sitting in My Garage...Kinda Fakd Up an Didn't Keep Up on Registration So Now It's 5 Yrs Back 😢😭😭😢
I'ma a Idiot 😂😅
136,382 miles. That's actually very low for its age.
I picked up a 94' Camry in great shape last year with only 71K miles for $3,700. I don't feel like I'll ever sell it because at that mileage, I'll probably have it my whole life and MAN is that a value.
