You should put these in the video description, so the video will make markers based on them. :)
Wonderful video! Thank you so much Anthony! Do you ever use a "Gate" device? What's your opinion about using one? Any tips on settings?
I just saw you have a video called "Ableton Gate Tutorial." I'll give that a watch. Any other ideas for using it with a guitar or bass?
Ableton should really pay you for how great you made those tones sound. Well done!
Clearly... they promote a lot of new stuff from live 11 but I'm pretty sure a lot of people (including me) just understimate the power of these fx plugs.
@@lookmomonlycomputer I wasn t ready...
Hands down one of the best and most comprehensive guitar tone videos out there. Definitely subscribing. Thank you so much for providing the racks as well.
I can't believe the stock effects can sound so good when you know what you're doing. I always used some plugins to handle this, but plugins are annoying in general. This is so elegant. Thank you so much for putting this together.
Plugins are great, man.
Don't be a plug hater
@@neoconnor4395they are. But this video basically made my usual go to guitar rig plug-in useless in comparison
This is what I think! I started my adverture at eletronic music making in Abelton and have something in mind: Just search for plug-ins if it's hard or not possible to do with stock plug-ins.
Btw. It's been helping me to learn sound design, I can figure it out what each fx, config does to each sound, opening me paths to construct unique sounds
yeah i couldnt do it whenever neural dsp ect exist. makes it sound like trash
This video has been a tremendous help for me. I am recording guitars for my ep and some of your tips have made a huge change in my tone. Thanks a ton, you really have made a difference!
Ive been devouring Ableton vids since Covid started and this is by and far the most well done tutorial I've come across. It might be guitar specific, but if your style translates to learning other elements of the software, then your courses are def worth it.
This is one of the best tutorial style videos I've ever seen, you didn't just show us what can be done but how you did it in a relatively easy way. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much! This has made such a difference to my tone - from weak and flabby to sounding like an actual guitar. Applied the same principles on bass too and it has made such a difference.
this is the exact video ive been waiting to pop up in my feed. thanks so much for sharing all of this! i finally get how amp and pedal and cabinet are meant to be used, thanks to your super easy explanation! subscribed
One of the better articulated tutorials I’ve seen. Thanks for being a great teacher!
Thank you!! That's amazing... I've been using AL for 4/5 years and I always relied on VSTs to rock my guitars. I've learned a lot about how to get a great tone but this one was missing and is a lifesaver when you don't have your favorite plugin. Amazing tones!
OUTSTANDING! The way you describe different era's of sound is extremely informative. Nice
I've been waiting for this!! Thank you!!
Thanks for this guide, I'm truly appreciating this! As someone who's played acoustic all his life and just stepped his toe into the world of electronic, this is just invaluable information. Saves you alot of headache figuring out yourself. Hats off to you
I have watched couple of videos and I love your channel, definitely subbed! I like to try things out in Ableton and learn a bit by myself and watching some tutorials but I feel yours are the most advanced and useful ones I have seen. Thanks for all the time and effort you are putting into these :)
Seriously appreciate this video, and the download link. Didn't expect downloading the pedal board to be so easy, but it took all of five seconds. Thanks, man.
Through this video I got a really nice sound out my guitar using the amp and audio rack with the two cabinets combo. Thanks for that one 🙏🏼 saved me 💯
Great video! I've always thought Live's guitar effects were overlooked. An additional tip: you can place effects between the amp and cab to replicate the send/return feature of some amps, series/parallel/dry-wet/whatever. I like to place modulation and time-based things in there, and then do as you did with a room reverb but with M4L Convolution Reverb. Great for guitar, just alright for bass. However, you can make some cool bass rigs though by combining the bass amp/cab and a couple guitar amps/cabs all in parallel.
Dude, awesome video!! Feels like it's hard to find people on youtube who can explain both what to do and *why*, and you've got the why down fantastically. Thank you for this
Thank you for doing this mate. So glad you came through and made this video! Stay awesome!
I was searching this kind of detailed video about this topic for a very long time! Thanks a lot!
Shit, i have older version of Ableton so i cannot install your racks : / Any other solutions?
man, this is incredibly helpful. i started releasing music and kind of just put shit together based on how i used to do it. i never really LOVED my guitar tone, so i started looking into how to make an srv sound with ableton. this is hands down one of the best tone videos ever. thank you! definitely going to dig into this more. yay, no more crappy tone :D
keep coming back to this channel for just about everything ableton - thanks for the tutorials! quick and clear explanations - straight to the point!
this is awesome man, i loved how you explained what's going on with the plugins, and diving into this made me appreciate distortion in guitar more. thank you so much
I just gave up on using Ableton effects the other day and mic’ed my amp. Now, after watching this I realize my approach was ALL wrong! Thank you so much for this, so much valuable info!
Thank you for this insightful tutorial man. The way you explain gain staging and the way signals are processed is excellent! Well done!
Im new to ableton. Your contributions have been more than helpful in my understanding and production quality, yet i still have a long way to go. Keep'em coming. Again Thank you.
Thanks Anthony, that was a really great lesson in so much! Guitar tone, sound design, pedals, artist’s tone, abelton, the list goes on. Amazing knowledge your humbling sharing. Nice work 👍🏻
I am blessed to see this video!! Thanks!! It just fix all my guitar - ableton problem. what a nice journey to learn with you. Thanks again!

Nicely explained and demonstrated. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you for this one. Great tutorial.
Wow!
This helped me a LOT! I really struggled with all digital guitar recording and never got the tones I was looking for. I recently switched from Reaper to Live 11 Suite as my mein DAW and stumbled upon this video. It all makes sense now! :D Really cool video!
I CANT wait for your on line classes, thank you for all the content in the meantime!
Man, I've been playing for 30 years and never had a better tone tutorial, and had NO IDEA how to use ableton. Thanks so much for your videos!
So much value. Thank you man.🙏
This! This is exactly what I was looking for as a newcomer to Ableton. I'm def down for the Ableton course, especially if you've going to cover 11 when the update comes out.
Thank you for demystifying the process.
Thank you for this video! I can’t wait to try these in Ableton!

started using ableton recently and this was an amazing lesson, thank you so much!
Your videos are awesome! I've learned so much. I know you're mainly a guitarist, but I would love to see you do one of these videos for a good bass guitar tone as well!
Really cool. Love how you divided into the tones while exploring the Ableton default tools.
Thank you so much, perfect video as always!
Very useful video to clarify some basic concept to a complete starter. Thank you
SUPER AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT GREAT INFO AND SUPER AMAZING KNOWLEDGE
Your videos have helped me so much. Thank you

These guitar tones are so good, crisp and clear. I came here because I gave up on Guitar Rig. So happy now, thanks so much.
Excellent & very inspiring !
Bravo !
It was a quite useful video. Thanks!
I just downloaded the pack... incredible! Thank you!
Great video well worth the length. Thanks so much!
Thank you, very helpful video
Excellent tutorial this!
I'm not a guitarist, but I've used your tutorial to create an effects rack of my own to feed D16 Phoscyon through, for that authentic 90's distorted 303 sound. Works a treat! considering lots of people were using guitar pedals/amps for their distortion needs back in the day.
Keep up the great work!
Amazing video, thank you so much!
Incredible work man, saving a lot of ears out there
Excellent video man, appreciate the work.
This is one of the most useful videos how to use ableton. I was in doubt about ableton's guitar effects before I saw this. Phantastic.
Very nice. Can't wait to try these out
Great material. That's what I needed
This video is a game-changer for me. Thank you!
All the friking cool tings for you great man, love this video, you have a new suscriptor.
Awesome video, so much useful information. Thanks !
Man, thank you so much. Sounds awesome
These are great tones! S-Gear is the only vst I'd recommend apart from tinkering with stock and learn the sound design.
Like some of the other comments - this was brilliant - I actually felt like I learned a lot about guitar sound. Subbed :)
Great video.
Amazing.
I've got an FET cab sum and a Strymon... But this gives me option of so many different combinations, panning and sounds.
Thanks man :) was struggling with setting up a good tone!
Excellent presentation - subscribed!
great video thanks!!
best tutorial ive ever seen. Thank you so much.
This video is amazing! I have learned so much from your channel. Love Papadosio too!
You made me realize PM "Band on the run" introduced my ears to so many guitar/amp tones in an epic swoop.

This is amaaaaazing thank you! I would appreciate a part 2 With the vintage jazz guitar sound. Like the grant greens, Barney kessel, and Wes of course
Great video as always!
I saw the thumbnail to this video and thought, "that guy looks like Anthony from Papadosio," so I clicked out of curiosity. Then I saw your SG on the wall back there and I got excited. I just started learning Ableton literally yesterday, and this is exactly what I needed. I subbed right away of course, let's do this!
