    Brilliant! If you don't respect this guy as a trainer, you're an idiot. Best thing I ever did was buy a pup from him and try to FOLLOW HIS EVERY LEAD. Without a doubt, the most dedicated, no BS, straight talking and HONEST breeding/training team I have ever met.

    Thank you for this video. Chad is adorable and reminds me so much of my 8 month old male Doberman. My dog does all those same things - scratching, whining, the high prey drive, looking at me like I have some nerve making him stay on place when he wants to go get his toy. This was so helpful. I love this! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge of all things dog!

    How do you suggest to teach a dog to calm down on Command? I've seen it done with a Mal on a different channel. For example, if they get into a Spazzy mood, usually it takes some effort to calm them down in a scenario where the behavior is not appropriate like a dinner party!...LOL. Any suggestions for this? Thanks.

      I'd love to hear advice on this too. Our girl is great about going on her place, but I haven't required very long durations from her because historically, she barks (and I didn't have a plan in place with how to correct that, which I know is my mistake). I don't want to allow her to reinforce that behavior. What do you all suggest?
      Thanks again for all you guys do.

    he is a pro handler ... the dog is NOT his 'baby boy' or 'furbaby' ... right? A dog is a lower animal to be conditioned. It cannot 'learn' as humans think of that term. Dogs are not capable of that, so they need conditioning to get by in life. And dog training is conditioning. See?

      @@Ferbocarbo I have dogs for 55 years and never had to use or used a prong collar! People who need such things to show their dog his/her place are incompetent losers! I owned Dobermanns, Barsoi, Dutch Shepherd and so on. Certainly not the 'easiest' dogs on earth. When people are not the ruler of their pack they 'need' prong collars. So they shouldnt own a dog in the first place. Oh and many of my dogs were 'second hand' , also shelter dogs who nobody wanted.

    • @Ferbocarbo
      @Ferbocarbo 3 роки тому +12

      @@ROBDee-ho9lu Thing is I'm still to witness a dog that was on death row after doing serious harm to someone being saved by a trainer who uses nothing but clickers and treats. I agree most stuff can be done without prongs. They just make work a lot easier and it seems silly to me why they are seen as torture devices considering moms correct their puppies by nipping them when they do something she doesn't like (pretty similar to the prong collar). Also happens between adult dogs. Prongs mimick the natural way dogs are taught what to do and what not to.
