Chinese celebs is industry is 🤮🤮🤮am sorry too but they also have no standard.. Actors of them became popularity bcoz of being cute and pretty but talent is just Meh!! But actor who have natural beauty but quality of acting are overrated.. So sad that China even their intl fans dnt know how to eye a good actor just bcoz she's pretty and handsome that means they Stan immediately...
My goodness. Are these really fans or mentally ill people or even psychos ? If you are a fan, why wouldn't you want to see your favorite happy in a loving relationship. I just can't believe how these people are harassed for living outside of the fanfiction that some fans create with themselves and the entertainers in their heads. I personally don't like the emphases that is placed on people in the entertainment industry to be stick figures either. It's highly hypocritical in my opinion, since the ones emphasizing that entertainers uphold these standards are average looking and average weight or even overweight fans and people behind the camera in the industry. I have never seen this level of nick picking and harassing people in a particle job as I have seen since I got into KPop and Asian Dramas. They will literally petition for someone to lose their livelihood because they feel that someone is unattractive(which is rich with all the surgery and skin bleaching a lot of these entertainers get) or because they are dating. It's just unbelievable and not surprising how the criticism, depression, and stress has unfortunately caused some celebrities over there to have taken action to escape the stress, bullying, and depression for good.
RIGHT?! I'm like....WTH is wrong with people? If you listen to any old person talking about their regrets in life, 100% of the time it is always about relationships. Love is at the core of human existence. Why would a so-called "fan" want to deprive someone they supposedly admire of experiencing it? What, just so they could imagine that person dating their latest co-star? How utterly selfish and mean spirited. I sincerely hope ALL of the stars I admire have great, loving relationships behind the scenes, regardless of who they are with.
@@headlyl Yes, it's the fan clubs. But the industry has to listen to them cos the fans control the purse strings. It's as simple as that. Even all the big product companies (including the foreign brands) play the same game. They are all very quick to drop a celebrity's endorsement contract the minute negative controversies start. The celebrities should do like what actor Wang Kai did at the start of his celebrity journey. He simply took over all the management of his fan clubs and then disbanded them. He refused to be controlled by them. In reverse, he politely schooled them to be considerate, kind and to leave him alone. Till today, he is one of the very few top celebrities without a single fan club. But I guess very few have the nerves to do that or to give up humongous amounts of money.
it does seem once the actors/actress reaches a certain age/over 37-40 and/or are not as popular as before. Example - Just seen in less higher role parts in series and movies that it is more OK to have a relationship that is known about.
Public opinions are very powerful in China because of the social media. Not only the stars, businesses, too, have to very carefully manage their reputation and have to bow to social pressure. The more popular an actor is, the more s/he has to be mindful of being a public figure/role model. The fans are their source of fame and wealth, after all. As for dating and marriage, the idols are the one who have to be careful about keeping the fans' fantasies alive. Older and character actors don't have such concerns. However, when an actor gets older, fans turn into concerned parents who worry about them not having a loving spouse and happy family. All along, there are always fans who "ship" their favourite stars. They like to imagine them in a love relationship. Chinese actors need to be lean to look good in the layers of historical costumes. These days, the male actors need to look good topless as often required in their roles. The standard is to look thin with clothes on and muscular with clothes off. When your fortune is based on public perceptions, you have to be careful not to fall from public grace. Contrary to Westerners' image of a suppressed population, in China, people power is highly amplified by its social media.
@@walkerpublications4418 Since the genocide in the name of revenge started, many careers, some before they have even started, are ended just for speaking up against the atrocious crime against humanity. In this case, it's TPTB that one must kowtow to, not the gossipy and judgmental public. Such is the freedom of speech/thoughts in the West. "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize" - Voltaire (debatably)
" The standard is to look thin with clothes on and muscular with clothes off. " they only have 1 body! the expectation is just too high and bordering absurd.!!
@@Si_nengatcha It is lean muscular instead of bulky muscular. Westerners tend to associate muscular with bulk but it is not an universally appealing look. There are different kinds of thinness too, e.g. flabby thin, skinny thin, skinny fat, etc. Lean and fit is healthy and lean muscles are usually very functional whereas bulky muscles are likely a result of training for looks and often not very functional.
zhang zhehan case is most ridiculous one. he literally taking photos on tourists spots because of the beautiful sakura flowers YEARS ago and got backlash in his prime time.
I’m with you… I don’t understand why. However, I heard that the Chinese actually hate the Japanese due to what they (the Japanese soldiers) did during the war in China. 🤷🏻♀️ I know this happened so many years ago, probably in our great grandparents’ generations but the damage was done. That’s what I heard
@@user-he7lt5qe3nThe China vs Japan hatred for each other in media has been going on for years. Also China doesn't like Japan cause Japan censors the history of Japan in Nanjing. Also in schools in China, they teach the Nanjing history. (Nanjing R*PE). Also it's the place he was at. He was at a Yakusuni Shrine which houses "war criminals" according to China . But I heard he was only there because he was invited at a wedding of a friend of his. Also nationalism in China is pretty big.
Why would anyone want to be in actor in China if you have NO control over your life? Fans should NEVER have that much control over an actor's life. its a JOB folks. They are not your personal anything. While I appreciate and respect Chinese actors, they are nuts to put up with so much just for an acting job. Have to respect their dedication. I hope its worth it in the end for them. I wonder how many have health issues given they are all under weight.
Now I understand when a chinese acyor said that being in a relationship means unemployment. Thus, if they really decide to pursue this love, both must be ready to be unemployed. Oh my. They should have a heart of steel.😢
If the story of Four fans committed su¡c¡d3 because the Idol was dating is real, I think as a society there’s a huge problem. What a toxic and sick way to see a celebrity, hurting yourself because of what a person you don’t know do in their private life is just NOT OK.
Yes, they become fixated, and view the star as 'theirs' - their boyfriend or girlfriend. They are delusional and living in a fantasy that to them became real.
Interestingly, during Hollywood's "Golden Age," the actors' and actresses' public image was carefully crafted and rigorously maintained. Anything that might be deemed scandalous was expressly forbidden, and diligently concealed.
Men especially look so much better bigger and more muscular than women. I won’t watch skinny men in shows because they seem unmasculine. Korean men are much more built up than Chinese actors and therefore are sexier.
I love watching Chinese dramas as well Korean. The actors and actresses are superb in their acting. They deserve better fans who appreciate them for their hard work and the talents they have. Any fan putting restrictions or demand a certain from the actors are sick in their mind and inhuman. Do these so called fans restrict themselves in not having relationships or keep their weights, or are beautiful, or tall , or are they perfect human beings??? SUCH BEHAVIOUR SHOULDN’T BE TOLERATED. I FEEL SORRY AND SAD FOR ANYONE WHO HAS TO GIVE UP LIVING THE WAY THEY WANT WHILE TRYING TO ENTERTAIN THESE WORTHLESS FANS. WHY SHOULDN’T THE ACTORS ,SINGERS OR. ANY OTHER ARTISTS HAVE THE FREEDOM TO LIVE THEIR LIVES LIKE ANY OTHER CHINESE CITIZEN??? MANY OF US WHO ARE NOT CHINESE LOVE , APPRECIATE AND ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO ALL TALENTED AND HARDWORKING CHINESE ARTISTS WHO REPRESENT CHINA AND GIVE US THE PLEASURE OF BEING ENTERTAINED.
As far as relationships go, that is no one's business. They, at the very least should have some kind of private life with anyone that makes them happy. Some of the "fans" that have to be hospitalized because of this, need to seek professional help and learn to live in the world of reality. These actors and actresses are true to their craft, and you can see the professionalism in their work. I am a big fan and I love all of the series that are available. Yes, the male characters are very handsome, but it doesn't mean that its ok to act all crazy and think that they are yours and dictate what they should do in their private lives.
First of all, not allowing them to date because fans are insane?? REALLY? That is NOT COOL. Completely selfish and unrealistic of fans, for one. Why in the world would you want to deprive your favorite actors and actresses of having a full life? Relationships and love are at the core of our experience as human beings. Second, this explains why SO MANY Chinese stars seem unhealthily skinny to me. I swear, the actress in Love O2O opposite Yang Yang grew more and more skinny throughout the series, until she looked anorexic! It really made it tough to watch for me. And don't get me started on how skinny one of my favorite actors, Lou Yunxi, is. I wish that guy would get a personal trainer and nutritionist and put on some weight and muscle. He just seems to get skinnier with each film, and it's honestly scary.
This statement is not true. The restrictions came from the actors/actresses’s agency, nothing to do with the government. However, if they behave badly towards their partners, then they get shut down.
Just because they are fans. It does not give them the right to control their idols life. If the shoe was on the other foot, how would they feel.. I truly sympathize with those entertainers.😮
Actors and actresses are human. They should be given the life they deserve to have their own choices to enjoy life, make a living, and love. Let us all be kind to one another. Make love and peace. 🥰
It’s a joke to ask celebrities to be role models. They portrait characters in art forms, but in real life, they are real individuals. Community party members are supposed to be “role models” but are they? 😅
He was from the start, he met his wife in like one of his first movies. Established bachelors depending on who they are, may be very hurt by girlfriends or marriage. It's super depressing.
He's open. But I've seen multiple people criticize size his wife. They like to blame her if Allen doesn't do kissing scenes in dramas. Same with Chen Xiao and his wife. There's really no way to win if you're open or not about your relationship.
I saw negative comments about RJ after watching Mr. Lizard and Ms. Crow or The Blue Whisper. I thought that his actions were commendable. He’s married and has a family and him not having very intimate scenes doesn’t take away from the plot of the shows that I’ve scene him in. I liked him after watching the first drama that I saw him in and those comments dissing him for not kissing made me like him more.@@shantiece17
I could imagine Li Yifeng solicited intimacy, because as a superstar he only had the venue of actual girlfriends-which would ruin his career, getting married- ruin him or paying for intimacy. That's what the celeb business does to you in Asia.
cent is very toxic. the fans actually think they are entitled to dictate the private lives of the celebrities just because they buy the products the celebs endorse or buy tickets for the movie / drama the celeb is in. They don't buy product because they like it or need it or want it but because a certain celebrity endorse it. It's so baffling to me.
@@angelxxsin and do you find this to be right, to be good? The game can be changed, the rules of the game can be better too. c-ent can benefit from changes...
OMG I was altready aware of the insane rules applied in the korean music and movie entertaiment industry but I was hoping that China was different. No wonder why so so many artists suffer from severe depression ... It is frightening to see how many people are so immature. I can understand why artists are requested to show a decent image to the public in order not to follow the US or European artists using drugs and suffering from heavy alcohol problems but the diets to be as skinny as a surfboard and no relationships to please immature fans living with an imaginary boyfriend or girlfriend are scary. Artists may have money but at what cost? Only stupid fans dream to live their lives.
I had to chuckle about “as skinny as a surfboard”. I was watching one drama just the other day and thought to myself that if the actress stood on the other side of that pole in the scene that you wouldn’t even see her. It’s sad. I really don’t get our celebrities over here in the U.S. either that continually follow the dead end path of destruction with alcohol and drugs. I don’t know why those that decide to take that path don’t avoid it with all the information and shows on celebrities ruined by it. It’s crazy.
China is worst tho... China if u have a power and connection y'all instant became star in them esp in ent they gave you special treatment which in korean is different actors of them really start frm scratch. And one thing how Cent is trash bcoz Beauty of them is a standard they prefer beauty than talent. There lot of actors are great in acting esp actress but they are overrated coz they prefer pretty white angelic face than normal neutral beauty... See lots of them are so called TRAFFIC star but their acting is just meh always same treatment and style can't even cut their hair to short coz they are afraid they might look UGLY. That's why I dnt invest much frm them bcoz they like so much attention and they are afraid to show their real skin.
Chinese celebrities are literally going to jail for soliciting sex because they can't operate like humans and have regular relationships. So whether it is drugs, alcohol, or sex these people aren't being allowed to just be human.
yes, of course, as European, I indeed think this rules oblige all actors to be a phantom, an illusion, not a "real" being...having their personal political opinion, having fun and falling in love, eat sometime something they like and be "sincere" with themselves... I am totally aware of this.. For me big Chinese actors are like heros but also like victims of a sadistic system, given them celebrity, wealth, lot of benefits, but actually creating for them a total secluted and solitary life, only concentrated into work, into acting... illusion over illusion...
I think the requirement to appear single is unfair on these actors and actresses. If they fall in love, especially with a co-star, why should they have to deny it, hide it or not pursue it? I like the idea of morality and Hollywood promiscuity is not what I am advocating for. But, let people live, breathe and be happy. Their career shouldn't stifle their personal life to that extreme extent.
You ask whether we think this is too much? Well from the standpoint of me, an American, yes this is too much. Very unfair some of it. And unfortunate there is no forgiveness of mistakes at times. But this is Chinese actors and they must follow that country’s rules if they want to be and stay successful. They make that choice to be successful. It is what it is.
Humans are social animals, we all need certain intimate relationships and without it we will become unhinged. This is one of the reasons the worst punishment is to confined someone to solitary prison but one can be surrounded by numerous people and still feel lonely which leads to depression. I haved said this many a times , " your role models should be your parents and those who plays a role in your upbringing ". The role that celebrities plays as role models should be that of inspiration of professional goals and of courses basic common decency and moral compass. If we accept that they are humans with all the faults, then mistakes made that harms no one innocent ( with or without intent ) can be forgiven. Some of these ' par- social fans need mental help. We haved heard time and time again of the extremely mental health issues that people face who works in the entertainment industry especially actors and when ones driven in to a corner and see no light at the end of the tunnel then commits suicide then cry and continues to do the same. How is this behaviour of the fans differently from ' bullying ' ? Yes if someone is using their fame to hurt the publishers they should be cancelled but then again who determines what , how and when they should be punished. As for their personal lives , frankly it's none of our business. And when one party post anything of personal nature on-line I question the intent of the relationship and why they would record such conversation and chats . If one's been abused and need such proof it's more than understandable. I do hope that the fans who have no constructive comments, bòse comments and are just nasty put themselves in the shoes of the person.
What... how awful..all these guys want to do is live a normal life and create good films and dramas. They dont need this pressure.. I cannot believe how vindictive some of their fans are over there. No wonder these guys have issues or are troubled.. Let them love if they want to. It has nothing to do with their fans how they live their lives. The fans would not like to be told who they can and cannot love... Hey all actors from China your fans from abroad love you and respect you...we will support you..x❤
Whew, how sad that they cannot enjoy life more freely! I feel sorry for them all. I am only hoping that the secret romance of Bai Lu and Xu Kai is still working for them. There were rumours of violence, which I hope are not true for their sakes. All that money and they cannot do what they like. I agree with the conservatism in both the dramas and in their real lives. I would hate for the Chinese actors to carry on like the Hollywood actors.
That's funny because the stars back then were all sleeping around married or not. The difference was lack of social media and the ability to take photos of these transgressions
I knew that fans were very dedicated but now that I know that level has gone to what I class as psychotic, I truely don't understand why anybody would want to be famous in China. Fans destroy the lives of the very folk they claim to like. It truly saddens me to see certain actors now having to hide from fans and unable to live any kind of life.
I wish our celebrities would keep their political views to themselves. As far as not dating, etc. That is wrong. It is too much. Plus, it seems it would encourage fans to believe they have a chance to date them. Fans should not have such control over celebrities' lives. The roles celebrities play are not who the celebrities are! Fans don't even know the real person. I think it's wrong and very sad.
You know how much they earn , just one drama, boom, like wang yi bao, not yet 21 years old, he can buy a watch worth 1 billion 8:28 . 4m car, multi millions residence. They do not need to spend on clothings but look smartly goegeous. Thats the rewards of all this rules. On the other side of the world, Korea, the Kpops, the famous talented MOONBIN, when he died his net worth is only 5m. China's is tough but gain back in the reward while for Korea's Kpop stars, more talented. Obedient but poor reward.
I think the biggest issues are the fans that are negatively OVERBOARD obsessed with the stars. Some rules may seems overboard, but I'm supporting many of them. At the same time, other than setting rules, are the government doing anything to mentally support the start. Some stars take drugs to keep themselves going in this cruel stars system. This is NOT a life for ME, but I salut all these stars who are sacrificing so much for money and fame.
That comment about not having a relationship for the fans. Well tell the fans to stop shipping people that aren't couples. I see why they hide their relationships now.
There is such a thing called weight discrimation. Industries who support this should be banned. Actors and actresses can be beautiful even with a little weight. Dating should be free and don't you have a life. Everyone is free. Please leave them alone. Weight and dating should be their course
If a fan committed or tried to commit suicide, then the burden doesn't lies with the respective celebrities. Rather they needed medical attention which neither their closed one nor the society cared! Their kids only became the tools of their business, not empowering the country, can't you see how terrible this is!😢
Absolutely, gorgeous and brilliant, fantastic actors and actresses. Thank you for everything you all have given us. So much I wish we can give back to you all.
we would consider it modern slavery….we in the west have no clue why Chinese actors are expected to look like North Korean hunger victims - many of them look like children of 12 or 13. Regarding the actors‘ private lives, what, are all these ‚fans‘ demented stalkers? you are not a fan when you aggressively lose it over a celebrity, unless you are 11 years old. this does not show respect for the work they are creating to entertain us. I only stumbled into this world of Cdrama because I study Chinese, but already feel sorry for those trying to be successful in that industry. (I hear Korea is as bad.) is this part of China‘s quest for the totally remote controlled human being?
FANS forget that celebrities are also human beings first. They should also be allowed to live there lives as they want basic human rights. Also these fans are like Bullies that may send there favorite celebs down a dark path and than heap more blame on them.
Idolising leads to idolatory. Over any thing in life. Both are bad. In fact many people who are rich and powerful love being idolised or worshipped. Sadly, true and brave learneds are few in today's society. More often most governments in our small world suppress teaching of truth.
Good actors are a result of a loving relationship & who have experienced tragedies in their lives so restricting them not to live a normal life is like controlling them to live like a puppet. No wonder you have shown many actors who have problems showing their emotions on screen…like puppets. They should not be blamed for it.
Yes! It ruined his film career. I’ve read that he’s trying to get back in the film industry . . . It’s been 3 years that he’s “exiled”! I hope justice comes to him soon so he can clear his name. I’m sure it hurts him a lot that people think of him as a traitor.
Take it from where it comes if they want to act and have a love life do it elseward, we live in a big world learn the language it`s imposable to ask a young man to basically stay celibate (no sex) through the prime of his life the fans shoulder a lot of responsibility.
This is too mush to bear, the pressure is extremely much, they can't even express the feeling because they want to satisfies the fans,😢 they have to keep fit reduce their weights just to appear good?😡😡😡 My God, that's crazy. I love Chinese movies more than my country movies. I've been thinking that even if I want to marry I'll prefer a Chinese man. But there's nothing like such rules in Nigeria movie industry. We believe it's a free world. I think you people should at least change the rules. THIS IS TOO MUCH.🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Yes some are to strict especially about how fans rule their lives. The celebs are only human like u and me they should have a life they are not robots and to continue not to have a diet to sustain your body will cause illness.😐❤
These are not forced upon them. But to get on in the game, you do better when super skinny. Sadly, the fans do expect it and they are quite judgmental and this can be collective too. Whilst the west see this as fat-shaming, in the east many countries including China are quite strict on what are ideal body shapes and yes, anorexia shapes are more desired.
Actors need to watch their weight because they will look fat if they gain weigh.. or being scolded.. whatever 😅 I dont mind if my idol gain weigh.. i am more conerned to their health ...
So messed up that people who have to work so hard have to starve to stay in this business. Some are stick and bones. It is an insult to people who has to be hungry because they don't have access to food
I can't believe fans would go so far as to commit suicide over the actors' relationships... China seems to have a governmental system that is Communism coupled with Capitalism sprinkled with dictatorship... My son's best friend is Chinese here in the US... we have known him since he was in elementary school and now he is grown into a sweet young man. We keep in touch with him and love him as part of our family.
OMG!! Are people seriously out here un-aliving themselves because their idol or someone they stan has a girlfriend / boyfriend 🤯 !! They need help and/or Jesus cause something’s definitely wrong with them in the head; that is sick and unbelievable. I mean who does that? If they’re fans, why don’t they want them to be happy?
How sad this is so dangerous, we are and they are human. It doesn't mean to stave them. Make there lives hell they allow to have relationships fans don't have the right to say what they do.
I think the fans need lives. To even consider suicide because their "idol" is dating shows a weak mental status. These celebrities aren't allowed to live a regular life due to delusional fans. How are these fans being supportive of their idols by controlling their lives?
They stop being humans and become products to the industry. And honestly its also the fault of the fans who want them to be like that. Perfect dolls. Projections of their dreams. Especially when it comes to the appearance.
If you are the actor or actress ,you must know what is consequences about your career and also your public appearance, they're mentally trained to be a professional, and it's normal for them.bcuz they're actor/actress.,they must also endure for all toxic culture and society.this 'World is Fake) 'people changes.Creepy life!
I can to a certain extent understand these strict rules. It keeps the Chinese actors from acting like the Hollywood stars...trashy, but surely as netizens we can hear the truth about some of the actors relationships i.e. why can't we find out about Xu Kai and Bai Lu 's relationship and hopefully marriage. As a fan of these two I would be delighted to find out if they are now married.
Hi .This rules are far to much for chinese actoresses and actors.I can't imagine how can they live like this.Absolute no freedom at all.I am no actress ,i lived in cominism for like ages ,but i did vhat i wanted .I did not care at all for comunism at all.Infact i hate it.That is why i feel so sad for them.🥺🥺🥺😥
Has nothing to do with communism. This type of behaviour is also happening in S.Korea. In Japan, they will not be polite if they see a zit on your face. Strangers will pull you to one side and give skin-care advice! They're not thinking about being rude, they see it as good advice. In China fan-wars are regular sport. Like in the west, supporting your football team, their support for a star is regularly a bonding exercise where they bait rival stars like sport. I guess, customers feel they need an outlet, and in China, for many younger people, it's fandom culture that is their escapism.
Too much, are you kidding, the oppression of people in the entertainment industry is enough for any of them to be wanting to take drugs. What a hellhole.
One thing I do not understand is in China a person cannot say what they want. So why are there negative things posted online about actors. This just does not make sense to me.
IT IS STRAIGHT UP RIDICULOUS!!!! Don’t they know how it makes their country look & the entertainment industry…MIGHT as WELL END ALL ENTERTAINMENT…I would sell everything I had and MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY!!!! Outrageous so called fans and an organization that is an oppressor!!!!!
Doesn't that demand for extreme thinness that ignores the ideal balance between muscle mass, body fat and bone mass... not somehow promote anorexia and bulimia among young people who seek to imitate their idols? I think this influence can be dangerous. How ridiculously controlling just for the greedy companies to make money and promote a robot like life. A cruel vicious cycle involving all people at different levels.
Celebrities are also human, their personal and private lives are separate from their entertainment industries's lives. Hence, they should be free to have a single or married life like everyone else. Falling in love is a normal feeling no one can predict when and whom to love. Working in the entertainment industry is just a job for the celebrities. They should keep a wholesome image to be a good role model for their fans.
This is too much, because all of us we are humans, loving or being loved is part of us and doing mistakes is something you can not remove in someone's life no one is perfect
These people think being thin is nice..nope!..celebs become malnourished then sick n die...enjoy life!, eat well!..more love!..don't make celebs lives miserable like their fans!!
Those kind of fans are lunatic, they just want their own satisfaction. feed their fantasies forgetting the right of their idols...these fans are called FUN-natics...actors are humans not a robots, let them enjoy their life and wealth which they earned through hardship .. to this kind of FANS ( FUNS ) don't be too selfish ...but I go about drug abuse restrictions not only to the celebrities but to all human living in this world...😪😪😪
I agree about drug or sex soliciting; however, their strict rule of their religious and political freedom is too harsh. An actor can't actively engage on religion or political protest like Jane Fonda did. Many young and huge, successful celebrities lives were destroyed because of drugs. Yes, the strict punishment sbould be enforce by the Arts and Film industries, not just the police!
I think its not good to put so much pressure on your actor or actress. They have their personal life and choice, which should not be affect by public opinion.
It is so unhealthy after awhile it will cause harm to the body.. I’ve seen actors do this in the UNITED STATES. loosing weight & gaining weight for acting rolls.. Which in turn makes them very sick afterwards
The fans can date and be over weight and not particularly pretty, yet they spew all these requirements on the actors/ actresses, some live in a fantasy world thinking, a certain actor will fall in love with them..oh, then I guess it’s ok for them if that happens…..these are some really mentally sick people, out of touch with reality
The dating thing is so ridiculous. If one fan is like that its too much. Are you as a fan not dating b/c you are hoping to meet your bias in hopes that you will be the one he/she dates- lol!!!!!! A fanatic is not a fan.
8:22 'do you think these rules are too much?' ofc they are, what a silly question. China has a despicable government that goes against everything I hold dear. everyone forced to live under this government knows how tough it is. however, many hundreds of millions (probably billions) of people around the world living under the thumb of autocratic governments don't know any different and simply can't imagine life in a society where you are mostly free to be yourself. ofc, there are rules everywhere you have to follow but respecting one's individuality, personal freedom and other basic human rights is the bare minimum. China and many other countries can't bring themselves to respect even that.
Well if celebs weren't depressed to begin with, they certainly might be after "making it" in the business. And of course we know celebs who have committed suicide because demands like these are so inhumane and the consequences of mistakes and missteps so unbearable. And shame on those selfish fans who do not want to see their beloved celebs healthy and happy.
Wow!! These fans must live a perfect life; amazing! Seriously, they can't deal with their celebrities being a relationship? You can't handle that they have a personal life? Why not just watch anime, cartoons, shows without real people who have feelings and who are not perfect. Can these fans not find happiness in their own lives; can they not find their own partners? I know that I made quite a few mistakes, bad decisions as a teen, as a young adult - I was not perfect; nor would I want to be so. I would never criticize anyone, be they a celebrity, co-worker, friend, family member for choices they made, for behaviours they follow. I might not agree with them but what they do is their choice. Also, I'm curious as to what drugs are being discussed. As for prostitution, well hmmm, how does this work; they can't be in a relationship, they can't date - let's be real! These celebrities entertain us, they do NOT owe us anything. I enjoy, appreciate, admire their dedication to producing great performances.
Yes nietizen are too jobless in China and they are indeed too strict on their celebs, afterall they are only human. Drugs, illegal dealings, money laundering and such offences, I get but soliciting prostitutes, while it may appear immoral, people are flesh and blood and have desires, if they cannot date or be in a relationship not everyone can be so disciplined as not to fall into such temptation. Shame prostitution is illegal in China. If a consenting adult wants to earn a living that way, who are we to judge afterall an actor/actress are also selling themselves for money on a wider stage. And as for those who faint, try to commit suicide, starve, worship and do more to idols, they need to have their heads examined. I watch and enjoy chinese dramas, I see the hot guys in steamy scenes and day dream but I know and understand that their private lives are theirs and I have no right to interfere. If I meet a celeb on the street, I smile and nod but never disturb them bcos I see them on tv does not make us friends or acquantances and they definitely do not belong to me so these so called nietizens who post negative comments should get a life or find a job to diver their energy into. Give your celebs a break, who are we to judge someones morality, how they look, what they eat, what the weight, whom they date, what make me more moral than you? I refuse to be judged by some jobless persons standard so Chinese celebs need to start taking a stand.
If you like the "consenting adults" argument, then that same term can be applied to anything at all. Drug taking, suicide pacts could all be justified with your term. Think about it.
The fans pressure on celebs in China is unrealistic. The celebs are human which means they have faults. NONE OF US ARE PERFECT.
Is like being a celeb is just like being a prisoner….. with all these pressures why won’t they resort to drug abuse n all🤷🏿♀️
Chinese celebs is industry is 🤮🤮🤮am sorry too but they also have no standard..
Except those in power, of course. 🤨
Exactly,
Which said get more Pay more too
My goodness.
I agree - what's wrong here is the crazy psycho fans and an entire industry what has decided to pander to them.
The thing is , there is a small amount of people who fit the physical appearance that they all so love.
Tbh,i feel the majority of c fans are mentally illness ppl
The rule about not dating is very unfair, they are human and must have love like everybody else!
it does seem once the actors/actress reaches a certain age/over 37-40 and/or are not as popular as before. Example - Just seen in less higher role parts in series and movies that it is more OK to have a relationship that is known about.
Look at Yuzuru Hanyu from Japan
...carefully trying to manage a marriage.
People need love and support on their lives to thrive.❤😢
No wonder people turn to prostitute if they can't have relationship. They are just to be unichs???
All humans deserve to love and be loved. These fans are unbelievable.
Public opinion or #CCPchowchow opinion? Who dictates what’s is broadcasted or printed in CCP land?
@@walkerpublications4418 Since the genocide in the name of revenge started, many careers, some before they have even started, are ended just for speaking up against the atrocious crime against humanity. In this case, it's TPTB that one must kowtow to, not the gossipy and judgmental public.
Such is the freedom of speech/thoughts in the West.
"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize" - Voltaire (debatably)
They shouldn't be. Why doesn't this go against Chinese morality laws? Seem hypocritical.
My gosh my heart goes out to these poor kids. I enjoy their mad acting skills but no one should have to suffer like this. May God watch over them.
oh stop with the hand wringing if you know nothing about how the industry works and why things are the way they are
Why would anyone want to be in actor in China if you have NO control over your life? Fans should NEVER have that much control over an actor's life. its a JOB folks. They are not your personal anything. While I appreciate and respect Chinese actors, they are nuts to put up with so much just for an acting job. Have to respect their dedication. I hope its worth it in the end for them. I wonder how many have health issues given they are all under weight.
They make a lot of money.

just like actors and actresses', singers and performers all over the world --- what they want is "Fame" 🤨 and "Show Me the Money" theory. 🤑
They were lonely and ill to begin with so fixated on entertainment. No person that they never knew should be held responsible.
And Let’s not forget Brad Pitt and Angela too …. Non stop headline news tv and rags …. The uproar of that relationship
WOW!! These rules are insane!!
My sentiments exactly on all you said
Totally agree. Don’t these fans realise actors are real people.
Yea yea Mmm like seriously
This statement is not true. The restrictions came from the actors/actresses’s agency, nothing to do with the government. However, if they behave badly towards their partners, then they get shut down.
Just because they are fans. It does not give them the right to control their idols life. If the shoe was on the other foot, how would they feel.. I truly sympathize with those entertainers.😮
Actors and actresses are human. They should be given the life they deserve to have their own choices to enjoy life, make a living, and love. Let us all be kind to one another. Make love and peace. 🥰
As Americans actors....they took drugs, they died of drugs, their relationships are messy , because they have no restraint
It’s a joke to ask celebrities to be role models. They portrait characters in art forms, but in real life, they are real individuals. Community party members are supposed to be “role models” but are they? 😅
Allen Ren and others are open about their relationships and even their children
He was from the start, he met his wife in like one of his first movies. Established bachelors depending on who they are, may be very hurt by girlfriends or marriage. It's super depressing.
I mean, Chen from Korean boyband EXO had a baby on the way and got married and the fans wanted him cancelled.

Wow, I knew things were tough for them but damn. No wonder some of them choose to leave this earth. That's a lot of pressure.
yes, of course, as European, I indeed think this rules oblige all actors to be a phantom, an illusion, not a "real" being...having their personal political opinion, having fun and falling in love, eat sometime something they like and be "sincere" with themselves...
Best comment.
Bailu xukai aren't together anymore Bailu is dating Zhang Linghe for a year now
Those be the rules when you sign on the dotted line.... It's very 1950s America film industry, magnified 1000X because of social media.
That's funny because the stars back then were all sleeping around married or not. The difference was lack of social media and the ability to take photos of these transgressions
I didn't realize how strict the rules were for Chinese celebs.
And it's the same way in South Korea as well, the celebrities and the idols aren't supposed to have a live outside of their careers.
I absolutely agree!
You support negative rules on other? Cause that's what it seems I read. There is room for character actors too.

You didn't understand my comment
That comment about not having a relationship for the fans. Well tell the fans to stop shipping people that aren't couples. I see why they hide their relationships now.
This is too much for them they should have a right to live a free life
There is such a thing called weight discrimation.
Their kids only became the tools of their business, not empowering the country, can't you see how terrible this is!😢
I blame the behaviors if the netizens on the Chinese government because they condone it.
Absolutely, gorgeous and brilliant, fantastic actors and actresses. Thank you for everything you all have given us. So much I wish we can give back to you all.
Cnets are the most toxic fans. Not allowing their celebrities to have a personal is beyond comprehension.
we would consider it modern slavery….we in the west have no clue why Chinese actors are expected to look like North Korean hunger victims - many of them look like children of 12 or 13.
Omg! No wonder suicide is so high in these countries! Who would like to live like this?? Do they have a life?

Idolising leads to idolatory. Over any thing in life. Both are bad. In fact many people who are rich and powerful love being idolised or worshipped. Sadly, true and brave learneds are few in today's society. More often most governments in our small world suppress teaching of truth.
Good actors are a result of a loving relationship & who have experienced tragedies in their lives so restricting them not to live a normal life is like controlling them to live like a puppet. No wonder you have shown many actors who have problems showing their emotions on screen…like puppets. They should not be blamed for it.

These are not forced upon them. But to get on in the game, you do better when super skinny. Sadly, the fans do expect it and they are quite judgmental and this can be collective too.
Did both broke up because Xu Kai fanbase didn't approve of her...plus it's revealed Xu Kai is dating another actress.
Hi .This rules are far to much for chinese actoresses and actors.I can't imagine how can they live like this.Absolute no freedom at all.I am no actress ,i lived in cominism for like ages ,but i did vhat i wanted .I did not care at all for comunism at all.Infact i hate it.That is why i feel so sad for them.🥺🥺🥺😥
It's actress for the females. It's communism. Try being being careful with the spelling.
This is crazy, how can these people get out of bed in the morning.
Too much, are you kidding, the oppression of people in the entertainment industry is enough for any of them to be wanting to take drugs. What a hellhole.
I wish some USA actors/celebrities would be better role models.
One thing I do not understand is in China a person cannot say what they want. So why are there negative things posted online about actors. This just does not make sense to me.
Wait whaaaat can't imagine this 😢😢😢😢the relationship part is wierd
God bless all of you that goes through this you are in my prayers
IT IS STRAIGHT UP RIDICULOUS!!!! Don’t they know how it makes their country look & the entertainment industry…MIGHT as WELL END ALL ENTERTAINMENT…I would sell everything I had and MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY!!!! Outrageous so called fans and an organization that is an oppressor!!!!!
They are human. Everyone makes mistakes. Let them have their privacy damn it.
Doesn't that demand for extreme thinness that ignores the ideal balance between muscle mass, body fat and bone mass... not somehow promote anorexia and bulimia among young people who seek to imitate their idols? I think this influence can be dangerous.

Everything wil go to normal life when there is no internet.
How ridiculously controlling just for the greedy companies to make money and promote a robot like life. A cruel vicious cycle involving all people at different levels.
I sure miss that Henry's gorgeous, gorgeous, voice!
they have to follow their rules but some rules are too much
Plus even the fans need to know they have no right to the lives of others when their own is messed up
Celebrities are also human, their personal and private lives are separate from their entertainment industries's lives. Hence, they should be free to have a single or married life like everyone else. Falling in love is a normal feeling no one can predict when and whom to love. Working in the entertainment industry is just a job for the celebrities. They should keep a wholesome image to be a good role model for their fans.
it's very hard for all the actor /actress
This is too much, because all of us we are humans, loving or being loved is part of us and doing mistakes is something you can not remove in someone's life no one is perfect
These people think being thin is nice..nope!..celebs become malnourished then sick n die...enjoy life!, eat well!..more love!..don't make celebs lives miserable like their fans!!
Those kind of fans are lunatic, they just want their own satisfaction. feed their fantasies forgetting the right of their idols...these fans are called FUN-natics...actors are humans not a robots, let them enjoy their life and wealth which they earned through hardship .. to this kind of FANS ( FUNS ) don't be too selfish ...but I go about drug abuse restrictions not only to the celebrities but to all human living in this world...😪😪😪
Lately the Chinese government has been making millions through their Netflix shows. The actors are overworked and exploited.
I agree on the drugs charges but the other rules it’s too much I feel sorry for them especially in this day and age
I would hate to have to live a life like this what the hell kinda life is this sad.
Wow people unaliving themselves over a celebrity? That’s just over the top.
No, it also happen in korea. Much harder.
I think that’s too much pressure on these actors.
Yang Yang and his Wang Chu are dating and still doing dramas so I guess it's only certain actors or actress
Some time I wonder who are really the Nezcitizen. “ ppl got nothing better to do .
