I was born in Delhi and till 6th Grade was in Delhi, moved to Mumba, precisely, Navi Mumbai in 7th grade and completed my 7th and 8th grade from Navi Mumbai, came back to Delhi - NCR in 9th grade, went back to Navi Mumbai in 10th grade and returned to Delhi - NCR in 11th Grade and have stayed there.
However, those three years that I stayed in Navi Mumbai made me feel like I would love to settle in Mumbai anytime I am given an opportunity through employment. However, it has been almost 15 years since I completed my graduation. 😢
I somehow connect to Maharashtra more than the air that I have breathed more than any other place or my blood, that is my parents are south Indians but we speak in Hindi and English at home and I prefer North Indian / Maharashtrian food over South Indian food and prefer visiting Maharashtra.
Seeing this series is igniting my love for Maharashtra.
As a South Indian, the Shirwale, we know it as Idiyappam and yes, we too eat it with Coconut Milk but sweetened with sugar, and cardamom is added as well instead of Jaggery, we do not add turmeric as well. Will surely try this way.

Konkan is not just about region, it's way of living. The Bombay and Mumbai lost its originality due to huge migration, same Konkan is facing. The beauty of Konkan can be seen only by living it for month minimum, no wonder so many Europeans live secretly in many Kokani tiny villages which are off the grid
