- In this Video today I visited Madrid Charmartin on the Madrid to Leon line
This was a very enjoyable station with a huge lot of commuter trains and as well the occasional long distance train like the Alvia and Avant but unfortunately no AVE
My next station is Salou on the Med Corridor

Great video in one of my nearest stations from where I live :D . I understand that the pronunciation could be very difficult for a couple of cities, and more if you never heard about it. Gijón was the hardest for you, clearly XD. Its a northern city near Oviedo, and Oviedo is the asturian capital. But cheer up, cause at the end you pronounced well "Atocha". I admire the effort, and you did well.
About the trains, the 465 series (Civia) heading to the north, go always to the airport, or Colmenar Viejo, Alcobendas, Príncipe Pío and El Escorial, which are little-medium municipalities various kilometers far from Madrid city, except Principe Pio, which is part of Madrid. In english, it would be Pio Prince XD.
The 446 series to north go to Principe Pio, Fuente de la Mora (between Chamartin and airport), and to Cercedilla.
The 465 heading south (Chamartin tunnel), can go to Aranjuez, Atocha, Parla, Alcalá de Henares...
The 446 to south go to Atocha, Principe Pio too, Alcalá and Guadalajara.
The 470 unit came from Lleida or the Fuencarral depot.
The 130 indeed, went to Alicante.
The Talgo with the 252 indeed, came from Valencia, but after leaving passengers, he goes to the Fuencarral depot, until the afternoon service to Valencia again.
And the last train, the diesel unit 599, came from Salamanca on Iberian gauge, via Avila and not via Segovia as do the 121 Avant series. The 599 came from Soria too, one in the morning, and another at night.
Good video, and I hope that you liked the place :) .
10trenes Thank you for the information and improvements on cities i came quite unprepared as i was going to film at Atocha itself because i was staying in Barcelona again but i could not go there because of the platform being sealed but Chamartin was a enjoyable station would come back to see the Leon AVE
One of the AVE's to Leon, served by the 102 series "Duck", departs from Chamartin at 14.40PM Spanish Time. You stayed near this hour. Maybe if you had waited a little more there...
10trenes Yeah that was my plan but i had to get the 15.30 to Barcelona so had no time
Ah, ok I understand. Nothing to do then.
10trenes unfortunately
