If you don’t a second set of hands a pair of jack stands do the trick just the screws are a lil stingy coming thru the whole because of the spacer. Great video made it real ez to install.
The Curt 11529 does not directly fit a 2020 Kona EV. You will need to make some major bumper cover modifications. I tried a test fit on my 2020 Kona EV. Even with bumper cover mods and the hitch installed - you could not re-install the lower horizontal cover that wraps under the bumper cover. I had to make some cuts on this cover as well. Eventually, I did get everything to fit. The newer 2021 or 2022 Kona EVs could fit differently.
Just installed mine on a 2020 fits just fine, it's not to terrible to do you just need a second set of hands. By the way, my hitch I ordered through U-Haul came with the fish wires.
well hitch is on but can't unplug wire harness since you said put it above hitch so once the hitch is up it hard to unplug harness to put the harnes wire in the pugs in each end of them for the new wires the hitch is in the way
It's strange that U-Haul can do the 2021 back, but no the 2022. I guess it must be a different design? But online the parts for the 2021 and 2022 are the same, so I'm not sure why U-Haul can't do the 2022. I guess I'll go with my other option, roof crossbars and bike carrier which anyone can do.
According to the manufacturer, this hitch fits all trims of the Hyundai Kona. However, use this link to confirm your vehicle trim and fitment. www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitches/
What is the towing capacity for the Kona 2022? I have seen every number (some crazy ones like 5,000 pounds) but nothing from Hyundai. Anybody has a Hyundai manual and can confirm?
Its not recomended to tow something with the kona since dct are not meant to tow alot but also not mention if the transmission fail and you have a tow hitch it wont be recovered by the waranty they give you at the dealership

@@sooboy1963 Woah slow down there. First at all I do not own a kona for that one particular reason since the only available kona that can tow is the 2.0l 6 speed auto which you would be righ and you probably have that model, but the other model with the option to be awd cannot tow either with the cvt or dct you're clearly mistaken buddy cause not all model can. Even hyundai told me that it was not recommended to tow with the kona unless you have the 6speed and 2.0 liter regarding that, there is no such info on hyundai which would be logical to be there to actually know how much it can tow. Even on hyundai site there is no option for a tow hitch even for the more recent models. But at this time I wrote that comment the only engine I knew was the 1.6 turbo with the dct which couldnt tow at all

Does it matter what kind of trim you have?
