Maine!!!! My home! First off, Lobster. Lobster is great everywhere. You can get it everywhere, in anything. For a price. I used to work at restaurants that would tell the customer 45 minutes, if they wanted a lobster dish. The owner would drive to the grocery store, buy lobster for $8, then charge $50 a dish. It is delicious and buttery no matter what. Lobster rolls are your best bet! No fuss, but always fun to get a full one & crack her open. Don’t forget to visit NH! The white mountains are my absolute favorite place. And since y’all love waterfalls, you will love it.
Yess!!! As an Appalachian lady myself, I’m so siked!!! Monongahela National Forest you have to go!!! Otter Creek Wilderness there. Seneca Rocks area. Dolly Sods. (This is all same area abouts) Pub Road 13 or “Loop Road”primitive camping near Blackwater Falls, West Virginia, is a must!!! For Maine, I say the forests near Sunday River area is awesome.
Oh gosh I live in Michigan. A million things. For sure Sleeping Bear Dunes, Plante River National Lakeshore which dumps into Lake Michigan - fun tubing , Mackinaw Island, pictured rocks National Lakeshore (amazing Kayaking). Up and down the coast of Lake Mi and Lake Huron. In the upper Peninsula, porcupine Mountains, Taquemenon Falls, The Up is basically mostly state land and you can boondock anywhere. I could go on and on. Our state forest campgrounds are cheap and always on a body of water. Ausable River has amazing camping along it as well. Hope this helps.
My husband and I were born and raised in Maine…If you get to Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor area….2 campgrounds you may want to stay at….Bar Harbor Campground has tent and rv sites. Reasonable prices and clean bath and showers….Schoodic Woods Campground is our personal favorite…they have tent and rv sites…it’s part of the national forest, reasonable prices…if you have the national park pass, you get a discount. No showers, but clean restrooms. Beautiful Schoodic Loop road is a must! On the ocean! Lobster right now in Maine is quite pricey. Just like everything else! Do you think you will plan up on your travels?
You would love the Door County Wisconsin area. We just spent time in Fish Creek and hiked the Peninsula State Park Eagle trail. Door County has Michigan Lake and Green Bay water areas and you can drive both sides in one day. I loved driving up until the road turned to water 😀
Bayfield, WI Beside the Apostle Islands, check out the tent music show area called, Big Top Chautauqua...the history of Bayfield area event is called "Riding the wind".... It is fabulous!
I'd like to suggest primitive camping at Dolly Sods WV. Cody can totally geek out over the geographic area. While in the area you can visit Seneca Rocks, Canaan Valley, and Blackwater Falls. All these places offer excellent places to hike, bike, and kayak. I also highly recommend eating at Hellbenders Burritos.
We camp in the Adirondacks. Moose river plains is primitive camping. Basically anywhere in the ADK is wonderful. Lots of bears. We set up our trail cam at night so we can see them. Indian Lake is also beautiful. Maybe you'll see a moose 😉
Check out Door County Wisconsin! Kayak crystal clear waters and see shipwrecks and sea caves. Tons of trails to hike. There are 2500 acres of orchards, so lots of wineries, farms, breweries, fishing, lavender farms. It’s an amazingly beautiful Peninsula surrounded by Lake Michigan and Green Bay.
Lots of places to see and visit in the UP of Michigan: Christmas, Copper Harbor, Taquenemon Falls(spelling?) camping at all these places then some oh and Mackinac city/Island
As you head north, check out Jim Thorpe PA. I grew up there and its beyond beautiful. Town is quaint. There is mtn biking, white water rafting, camping, fishing. Then continue north into the Poconos. Fall foliage is EPIC. Research the trees and you’ll understand why. Enjoy and be safe! Just love your videos. Thank you for all you do to make them!
Three areas I've always felt an attachment to are Northern Arkansas, the Texas Hill Country and South Central Wisconsin. Don't miss out on Wisconsin. There is a lot to explore there.
Great video as usual!! Very excited to hear of your travels this summer and autumn. As a native of Connecticut and the New England area, I can say that the foliage will blow you away. Suggestions for places to go would include not just Maine but Vermont and New Hampshire. Check out the history in and around Boston Massachusetts. Hiking on the Appalachian trail is an option. Mount Washington is a great hike if the weather is favorable. New England can be expensive, so be aware of that. The northern states may have more opportunities for primitive camping. Stay away from I95 in New York and Connecticut. Really bad traffic from New Haven, CT west through New York city. The further north you enter New England, the cheaper the price. (lower tolls). Going in through the Adirondacks of New York into Vermont will provide the best scenery too. Wishing you the safest of travels!!!! Can't wait to see what you discover!!!

West coast of Michigan: Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore, Huron-Manistee National Forest, and lots of wineries/breweries in the Leelenau peninsula/Traverse City area. Upper Peninsula of Michigan: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island, Keweenaw Peninsula, Porcupine Mountains, Sault Ste. Marie.
You should camp at Twelve Mile Beach Shoreline campground. It has the most beautiful beach and rocks on the Pictured Rock National Shoreline. Munising, Michigan has lots of places to hike and explore. Upper Peninsula is such a beautiful place to explore the Great Lakes. Ferry ride to Mackinac Island is a place you really need to visit. Sault Locks Park is fun and the fudge sold in all of the shops is delicious
Don’t miss Lake Placid, NY. It’s drop-dead gorgeous. Water is cold even in the middle of the summer since it’s snow runoff, but it’s just an amazing place. Have a safe trip and enjoy.

If you're headed to Michigan, Porcupine Mountain State Park, Copper Harbor, and Marquette have great hiking, mountain biking and camping. Some of my favorite memories are from this part of the state. I feel pretty good about the H3 giving you another year!
You guys have inspired me to start camping. Camping is not something i did growing up but it is something i want my kids to experience. Going camping today. I have gotten better and have learned a lot from u guys.
As a Michigander I was thrilled to hear you were coming this way!! We live an hour north of Detroit, have a cabin in mid Michigan and we love to camping the upper Peninsula! There are a bunch of rustic campgrounds up there along the lake superior shore....last year we rustic camped at one called Kingston Lake state campground....almost every site is on the water...and you will need to stop at Tahquamenon Falls...very beautiful!! Bar Harbor Maine is a very cool place and a state park is very close and it’s up in the mountains. Several museum s on how boats are made along the way.
Twelvemile Beach Campground at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Upper Michigan. Not as primitive as you camp, but still no electric or water at individual campsites, and is part of the National Park Service. This campground is right on the shores of Lake Superior and you can hear the waves crashing even in the back of the campground. Beautiful and amazing place!

I'm so excited you're coming to Michigan, my lovely state! You have to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore. The dunes are unbelievable and Lake Michigan is a sight to see! There is hiking there too. And I also add my rec to visit the Upper Peninsula, it's other wordly in how peaceful and undeveloped it is. Lake Superior is also an awesome great lake and Tacquemenom Falls are a must see while you're there. 💚
Check out Bayfield WI, Apostle Islands National Seashore, Dalrymple Park and Campground, Madeline Island (take the ferry and camp there...beautiful!) Excited for your new adventure.
We're in northern Ohio. Look up AEP Recreation Land camping. It's down South Eastern Ohio, past Cambridge. It's the only "free" camping we have found. There's several campgrounds in the park system. We have stayed a few times. They say it's great for bass fishing. Also cuyahoga valley national park is great, hiking, river, Brandywine falls, bike on tow path. Bedford reservation, bridal veil falls, bike paths. Bay Village, Huntington beach.
The whole state of Maine is great. Having said that, prepare for bugs-like flies and ticks and mosquitos in woodsy areas. We bought and used head nets when we hiked there in July a few years ago. Bug spray, long pants and sleeves, and daily tick checks are a must. One of our favorite places that you would like is Baxter State Park for hiking, biking, kayaking. The loons and their haunting calls were my very favorite part of Maine and the "ponds" in Baxter and all over the state all seem to have a pair with babies everywhere you go. Another place you may want to investigate is Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument for camping. Hiking is great in the Cutler Preserve too. Another great spot to visit: the Schoodic Peninsula and the NPS campground there. Hannaford Grocery Stores are everywhere. (Hint: they will steam a lobster tail you purchase and you can make a quick lobster roll dinner with it after a long day of hiking.This is waay less expensive that eating a lobster roll in a restaurant.) Mardens and Reny's are great places to shop for outdoor clothes and gear and have several locations throughout the state. We were planning to go back to Maine this summer, but may have to scrap our plans due to the high gas prices and the cost of pulling our 30 foot trailer. Hope you have a great time.
Hello from South Carolina! After you leave Maine in the fall and head towards the Southeast, you have to check out Smokemont or Elkmont Campgrounds in the Great Smoky Mountain region of NC and TN. There primitive camping and are absolutely amazing. I grew up going there and currently adventuring more with my newly (and still building) overlanding rig. I’m new to this and y’all have been a true inspiration!! If you get near the coast of SC, you have to check out Charleston, SC. Some of the best local seafood and low country cooking in America. Also, Charleston has some of the best breweries in the Southeast. Good luck on your journeys and I will continue to like, follow, and share your videos.
The Adirondacks in July/August are phenomenal! That's where we will be the end of August! We love going to Fish Creek Ponds/ Rollins pond campground (north of Tupper Lake, NY). The lake and streams are perfect for kayaking!!! Especially when you get to the preserved area where fueled boats are not allowed. It's like untouched raw beauty in it's finest state! Y'all would love it!
I will second the Adirondacks. I grew up camping on Middle Saranac but the last time I visited we camped and hiked Wright and Algonquin Peak with Avalanche Lake Loop. It was a LONG day because I’m a slow hiker but it was gorgeous and an amazing accomplishment.

If heading to Michigan I’d recommend Pictured Rocks area, Tahquamenon Falls area, and Sleeping Bear Dunes area. I’m a little partial to the U.P. being just across the water. Having enjoyed your videos I think these places would be in line with what you like to do.

If you go through Iowa in southern Iowa is a small town called Eldon. That is where the house from the famous American Gothic painting is. They have a small museum and will give you the clothes, pitchfork, glasses etc everything you need to take your own American Gothic picture! It is really cool.
Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois in the Shawnee National Forest. Also in Shawnee, Bell Smith Springs, Jackson Falls, Burden Falls. Starved Rock State Park is 2hrs south of Chicago, it's a must visit. Come visit Chicago, sight see, take a architectural boat tour, try to not get car jacked or shot.
When you’re in the east, the supermarket that will astound you will be Wegmans! Originally founded in Rochester, New York, if you go to their website you will find a list of all their store locations. Utterly amazing shopping experience.
I live in michigan and if you are going to the u.p. copper harbor is beautiful and awesome mountain biking trails, also pictured rocks, Kitch- iti- kipi, porcupine mountains are also fun day trips! You have to see and drive over mackinaw Bridge and if you have time bike around the mackinaw island! Lower michigan traverse city has beautiful lakes with sleeping bear dunes near by and wineries!!
If you want some really awesome fishing, animal watching of all kinds, biking, hiking, skiing (possibly in same day depending on time of year) ..... Come to British Columbia for an end of spring early summer summer trip. The west coast is mind blowing, but the interior will not let you down either if you're brave enough to get off the beaten path.
Don’t forget about the Amish farms throughout Pennsylvania maybe further north. They have awesome vegetables and other baked goods. The best sweet potatoes I’ve ever ate.
Super pumped to see your next video! You always give us ‘high rent” content and I for one appreciate it. I know with gas prices as high as they are we are going back to tenting for the summer here in Utah. Your videos are an inspiration, plus Kelly and Cody are just dang cute together. I used to bring my wok and cook Chinese food at camp or fancier meals like Kelly does which had an awful lot of people in the campground strolling past our site whenever I was cooking. Lol. Just because you are tent camping doesn’t mean you have to eat burgers and dogs all the time. Thanks for all the beautiful places and all those recipes as well. Can’t wait to see this one.
Cape lookout, Nc . You take a ferry over to the island and camp anywhere on the beach you want to. It gets pretty windy but the fishing is great out there
@Dome Life: In NY, ya gotta, GOTTA visit Watkins Glen and Letchworth State Parks. I think you really enjoy them, because of the geology and landscapes. In NH, TONS of great hiking around, and even to the top of Mt. Washington. Views on all trails are … phenomenal!! I also recommend Big Meadow on the Shenandoah Parkway, in VA. Williamsburg is worth a visit, but Hatteras and Kill Devil Hills are must sees, along with Chincoteague and/or Assateague Islands on the coast. In NC, well … there’s just so much, but in addition to Hatteras and KDH, Pisgah NF, Mt. Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain are at the top of the list. Another State Park I absolutely LOVE is Breaks State Park in VA, but not a ton of great hikes there. Just beautiful vistas and a relaxing vibe.
Love the peaceful way the videos start.. including Kelly’s cooking. Maine - yay. No experience in Michigan but pre- RV we ate every lobster dish we could find. Took a ferry to Monhegan island to spend the night. Loved all the lighthouses and Acadia Natl Park.
If you want to catch some big fish, be sure to hit up Cape Lookout National Seashore in NC around October when the drum are running. You can camp for free on the beach with no one else around and it's free. Just have to book a ferry ride and have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. It's beautiful and we always catch fish when we go. We took our NoBo 10.6 last time we went and it was great. Gets a bit windy occasionally so be prepared for that. But it's really an awesome place. Before or after, you should go west to the Linville Gorge and camp off of Old NC Highway 105. Plenty of primitive, free spots to camp and you can hike down to the river and fish for trout. It's also beautiful and amazing. Hope y'all have a great trip!
We have change of season colors in Northern California too. Its beautiful and still warm enough to camp in the Sierra Nevada Mountains the end of October!!!!!!!
MI has a lot to offer if you want to see the great lakes. We also have a lot of lakes and rivers. The UP is very primative and beautiful. Lots of waterfalls. For you guys I would suggest kayaking Pictured Rocks. The lower peninsula also has a lot to offer. Sleeping Bear Dunes, the tunnel of trees is a beautiful drive especially in fall, there are so many rivers and lakes it's hard to give a recommendation. We also have an amazing craft beer culture and wineries around the Traverse City area. The State Campgrounds tend to lack privacy. The State Forest Campgrounds are rustic (vault toilets;hand pump water), first-come, and tend to have more spacing and privacy between sites. You are also able to dispersed camp in the national parks and on state land.
Portage Bay State Park! It is in the U.P. of Michigan in the Garden Peninsula. It's an amazing primitive campground. It's also near the ghost town called Fayette. It's a historical mining/smelting harbor that is now a state park.

If you come to the Great smoky mountains then you definitely have visit cades cove. it also has a campground. Elkmont is full of history, campground, and a river to fish in. It's a great place.
Diane & Norm T: We live in the Upper Peninsular of Michigan. Lake Superior is the largest Great Lakes. I would suggest going to Copper Harbor, Mi Their bike trails are recognized as one of the top trail systems in the world, the Copper Harbor mountain bike trails offer some of the most unique terrain and challenging trails, they do have intermediate ones as well. Trees are abundant. The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge was built in 1934 and is on the National Registry. A German restaurant: Harbor Haus, lots of beers, super food. The Fitz in Eagle River offers great food also. I'm biased but our son owns Brickside Brewery in Copper Harbor and run by his family. Established in 2012. So much to see and do, just check out online. We love watching your videos and always wish you safe travels. Looking forward to your trip northward and eastward. Watch you "On the other".
OMG.. you’re coming up to my neck of the woods. You must do some research on the Adirondack park in NYS. The high peaks in the ADK’s is spectacular. There’s 46 high peaks with many trails etc. The lakes are beautiful as well. I do some kayak camping up there in the St Regis canoe area.
If you get the chance to camp in the adirondacks they have some great kayak camping on the islands in Indian Lake. It’s so beautiful and you can camp on an island alone. We did it years ago in our canoe and had a great time. Well until the ranger showed up to tell us a bear broke into our car, but that was my bad as I had left 3 French fries and 1 sip of milk shake in the car and she broke the window to get inside and sat in the drivers seat to finish my meal. That was a long chilly and smelly ride home but still one of our best camping trips ever!

June is tick festival time! LOL My momma swore by sulphur powder, put in a sock tied up and then bang the sock on your shoes socks and ankles, keeps them from crawling up.

Glen Helen or John Bryan State parks in Ohio is great for hiking. Near Yellow Springs, which is an interesting little town. And of course, Hocking Hills is phenomenal! 😄
Make sure to visit the Canaan Loop Road in the Monongahela NF in WV for some epic dispersed camping. Also visit Seneca Rocks and SpruceKnob in the area
If you come to Michigan, the UP has a lot of boondocking areas - it’s very remote. You must see Lake Superior. Pictured Rocks are lovely. If you can get a permit, try to get to Isle Royale National Park. Lake Michigan has beautiful sand dunes and you MUST cross the Mighty Mackinac Bridge. I live near Lake Huron just across the river from Sarnia, Ontario. There’s lots of good fishing, Cody.
I knew it! I didn't get a chance to watch this video till just now (busy camping 😃) but when you said you were going somewhere that you had never been before my first thought was Maine! You'll love it here!I commented on one of your Florida videos that we have the best Lobstah rolls! Look at Bradbury Mountain State park. It has a very small campground with no hook ups but it has water, a nice bathhouse and a kitchen wash station area with power outlets. It has biking trails and nice hike up the mountain for beautiful views. Also you are about half an hour away from the coast for local seafood! If you come in the fall alot of the little seafood roadside joints will be closed but you'll be able to find something for sure! Further north is where you'll find the best fall foliage. Look into Acadia or Baxter state park. I've been to Bradbury many times because it's closest to me and you'll enjoy that. The other parks I'm not as familiar with but both are very popular here in Maine! I hope I was helpful! Your gana love it here. It's beautiful, the people are friendly and the food is delicious 😀
I’m from Maine.Anyone in my family would tell you to go to Camden but I don’t think you can beat Bar Harbor right next to the Acadia National Forest. They’ve done allot of summer camp movies at Sabego Lake. Be ready for toll fees.
Since you're coming to the Great Lakes area and I'm in Ohio here's a few suggestions. Wayne National Forrest has some good dispersed camping and a few nice primitive campgrounds. The best hiking in the state are at Hawking Hills State Park, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. A cool grocery store in Cincinnati is Jungle Jim's. It has anything you want and international foods from almost every country including stuff like Kangaroo meat. Visit Serpent Mound it is an ancient Native American site of mounded earth in the shape of a snake. Lastly you have to have to have to try White Castle Hamburgers and more importantly Skyline Chilli, get a five way.
I lived in Texas all my life but we always went to Arkansas on vacations. It has the most beautiful scenery, the most gorgeous lakes and rivers. To me it's hard to find anything prettier. But I'm sure you will find some great places along the east. Good luck and I'll be watching and looking forward to your adventures.
Looking forward to your next adventure! A group of us often camp in the National Allegheny Forest (NW Pennsylvania) Disperse camping off of Forest Road 160 & FR 259. We also stay at Morrison Campground. Unfortunately you can only access Morrison by water or hiking. There are other campgrounds, but I am not familiar with them. Plenty of trails to hike & mountain bike. Close by is the Kinzua Dam, Kinzua Bridge Stare Park, Jake’s Rock picnic area/overlook, Rimrock overlook, & fishing/kayaking at the Allegheny River. You can also rent boats by the hour or day at Kinzua Wolf Run Marina. Catch you on the other. Safe Journey!

You would love the Door County Wisconsin area. We just spent time in Fish Creek and hiked the Peninsula State Park Eagle trail. Door County has Michigan Lake and Green Bay water areas and you can drive both sides in one day. I loved driving up until the road turned to water 😀

I'd like to suggest primitive camping at Dolly Sods WV. Cody can totally geek out over the geographic area. While in the area you can visit Seneca Rocks, Canaan Valley, and Blackwater Falls. All these places offer excellent places to hike, bike, and kayak. I also highly recommend eating at Hellbenders Burritos.

We camp in the Adirondacks. Moose river plains is primitive camping. Basically anywhere in the ADK is wonderful. Lots of bears. We set up our trail cam at night so we can see them. Indian Lake is also beautiful. Maybe you'll see a moose 😉

Check out Door County Wisconsin! Kayak crystal clear waters and see shipwrecks and sea caves. Tons of trails to hike. There are 2500 acres of orchards, so lots of wineries, farms, breweries, fishing, lavender farms. It’s an amazingly beautiful Peninsula surrounded by Lake Michigan and Green Bay.
St. Germain area in Wisconsin and there are national forest all over that area.

As you head north, check out Jim Thorpe PA. I grew up there and its beyond beautiful. Town is quaint. There is mtn biking, white water rafting, camping, fishing. Then continue north into the Poconos. Fall foliage is EPIC. Research the trees and you’ll understand why. Enjoy and be safe! Just love your videos. Thank you for all you do to make them!

Three areas I've always felt an attachment to are Northern Arkansas, the Texas Hill Country and South Central Wisconsin. Don't miss out on Wisconsin. There is a lot to explore there.
Great video as usual!! Very excited to hear of your travels this summer and autumn. As a native of Connecticut and the New England area, I can say that the foliage will blow you away. Suggestions for places to go would include not just Maine but Vermont and New Hampshire. Check out the history in and around Boston Massachusetts. Hiking on the Appalachian trail is an option. Mount Washington is a great hike if the weather is favorable. New England can be expensive, so be aware of that. The northern states may have more opportunities for primitive camping. Stay away from I95 in New York and Connecticut. Really bad traffic from New Haven, CT west through New York city. The further north you enter New England, the cheaper the price. (lower tolls). Going in through the Adirondacks of New York into Vermont will provide the best scenery too. Wishing you the safest of travels!!!! Can't wait to see what you discover!!!

You should camp at Twelve Mile Beach Shoreline campground. It has the most beautiful beach and rocks on the Pictured Rock National Shoreline. Munising, Michigan has lots of places to hike and explore. Upper Peninsula is such a beautiful place to explore the Great Lakes. Ferry ride to Mackinac Island is a place you really need to visit. Sault Locks Park is fun and the fudge sold in all of the shops is delicious
Don’t miss Lake Placid, NY. It’s drop-dead gorgeous. Water is cold even in the middle of the summer since it’s snow runoff, but it’s just an amazing place. Have a safe trip and enjoy.

Lake Michigan is beautiful, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. Great hiking trails with beautiful views and sunset!! Also a must Pictured rocks national Lakeshore and the upper peninsula of Michigan! If you're headed to Michigan, Porcupine Mountain State Park, Copper Harbor, and Marquette have great hiking, mountain biking and camping. Some of my favorite memories are from this part of the state. I feel pretty good about the H3 giving you another year!

As a Michigander I was thrilled to hear you were coming this way!! We live an hour north of Detroit, have a cabin in mid Michigan and we love to camping the upper Peninsula! There are a bunch of rustic campgrounds up there along the lake superior shore....last year we rustic camped at one called Kingston Lake state campground....almost every site is on the water...and you will need to stop at Tahquamenon Falls...very beautiful!! In the UP, see Pictured Rocks near Munising, MI...great kayaking & hiking along lakeshore. Also Tahquamenon Falls State Park is awesome! Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park is on Lake MI(not in UP) west of Traverse City, beautiful park. Lots of fruit orchards & wineries in the area also. Cherry Festival is in July.

Bar Harbor Maine is a very cool place and a state park is very close and it’s up in the mountains. Several museum s on how boats are made along the way.
Twelvemile Beach Campground at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Upper Michigan. Not as primitive as you camp, but still no electric or water at individual campsites, and is part of the National Park Service. This campground is right on the shores of Lake Superior and you can hear the waves crashing even in the back of the campground. Beautiful and amazing place!

I'm so excited you're coming to Michigan, my lovely state! You have to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore. The dunes are unbelievable and Lake Michigan is a sight to see! There is hiking there too. And I also add my rec to visit the Upper Peninsula, it's other wordly in how peaceful and undeveloped it is. Lake Superior is also an awesome great lake and Tacquemenom Falls are a must see while you're there. 💚

We're in northern Ohio. Look up AEP Recreation Land camping. It's down South Eastern Ohio, past Cambridge. It's the only "free" camping we have found. There's several campgrounds in the park system. We have stayed a few times. They say it's great for bass fishing.
Also cuyahoga valley national park is great, hiking, river, Brandywine falls, bike on tow path.
Bedford reservation, bridal veil falls, bike paths.
Bay Village, Huntington beach.
There are bike packing camp sites along the Towpath. Primitive and no fires, but can bike and sleep along the trail.

The whole state of Maine is great. Having said that, prepare for bugs-like flies and ticks and mosquitos in woodsy areas. We bought and used head nets when we hiked there in July a few years ago. Bug spray, long pants and sleeves, and daily tick checks are a must. One of our favorite places that you would like is Baxter State Park for hiking, biking, kayaking. The loons and their haunting calls were my very favorite part of Maine and the "ponds" in Baxter and all over the state all seem to have a pair with babies everywhere you go. Another place you may want to investigate is Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument for camping. Hiking is great in the Cutler Preserve too. Another great spot to visit: the Schoodic Peninsula and the NPS campground there. Hannaford Grocery Stores are everywhere. (Hint: they will steam a lobster tail you purchase and you can make a quick lobster roll dinner with it after a long day of hiking.This is waay less expensive that eating a lobster roll in a restaurant.) Mardens and Reny's are great places to shop for outdoor clothes and gear and have several locations throughout the state. We were planning to go back to Maine this summer, but may have to scrap our plans due to the high gas prices and the cost of pulling our 30 foot trailer. Hope you have a great time.
Hello from South Carolina! After you leave Maine in the fall and head towards the Southeast, you have to check out Smokemont or Elkmont Campgrounds in the Great Smoky Mountain region of NC and TN. There primitive camping and are absolutely amazing. I grew up going there and currently adventuring more with my newly (and still building) overlanding rig. I’m new to this and y’all have been a true inspiration!! If you get near the coast of SC, you have to check out Charleston, SC. Some of the best local seafood and low country cooking in America. Also, Charleston has some of the best breweries in the Southeast. Good luck on your journeys and I will continue to like, follow, and share your videos.

The Adirondacks in July/August are phenomenal! That's where we will be the end of August! We love going to Fish Creek Ponds/ Rollins pond campground (north of Tupper Lake, NY). The lake and streams are perfect for kayaking!!! Especially when you get to the preserved area where fueled boats are not allowed. It's like untouched raw beauty in it's finest state! Y'all would love it!
I will second the Adirondacks. I grew up camping on Middle Saranac but the last time I visited we camped and hiked Wright and Algonquin Peak with Avalanche Lake Loop. It was a LONG day because I’m a slow hiker but it was gorgeous and an amazing accomplishment.

If heading to Michigan I’d recommend Pictured Rocks area, Tahquamenon Falls area, and Sleeping Bear Dunes area. I’m a little partial to the U.P. being just across the water. Having enjoyed your videos I think these places would be in line with what you like to do.

Alpena is a cool place, several lighthouses to see, lots of wildlife to see and fishing on Lake Huron
If you go through Iowa in southern Iowa is a small town called Eldon. That is where the house from the famous American Gothic painting is. They have a small museum and will give you the clothes, pitchfork, glasses etc everything you need to take your own American Gothic picture! It is really cool.
Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois in the Shawnee National Forest. Also in Shawnee, Bell Smith Springs, Jackson Falls, Burden Falls.
Starved Rock State Park is 2hrs south of Chicago, it's a must visit. Come visit Chicago, sight see, take a architectural boat tour, try to not get car jacked or shot.
When you’re in the east, the supermarket that will astound you will be Wegmans! Originally founded in Rochester, New York, if you go to their website you will find a list of all their store locations. Utterly amazing shopping experience.
I live in michigan and if you are going to the u.p. copper harbor is beautiful and awesome mountain biking trails, also pictured rocks, Kitch- iti- kipi, porcupine mountains are also fun day trips! You have to see and drive over mackinaw Bridge and if you have time bike around the mackinaw island! Lower michigan traverse city has beautiful lakes with sleeping bear dunes near by and wineries!!
If you want some really awesome fishing, animal watching of all kinds, biking, hiking, skiing (possibly in same day depending on time of year) ..... Come to British Columbia for an end of spring early summer summer trip.
The west coast is mind blowing, but the interior will not let you down either if you're brave enough to get off the beaten path.
Don’t forget about the Amish farms throughout Pennsylvania maybe further north. They have awesome vegetables and other baked goods. The best sweet potatoes I’ve ever ate.

I know with gas prices as high as they are we are going back to tenting for the summer here in Utah. Your videos are an inspiration, plus Kelly and Cody are just dang cute together. I used to bring my wok and cook Chinese food at camp or fancier meals like Kelly does which had an awful lot of people in the campground strolling past our site whenever I was cooking. Lol. Just because you are tent camping doesn’t mean you have to eat burgers and dogs all the time. Thanks for all the beautiful places and all those recipes as well. Can’t wait to see this one.
Cape lookout, Nc . You take a ferry over to the island and camp anywhere on the beach you want to. It gets pretty windy but the fishing is great out there
@Dome Life: In NY, ya gotta, GOTTA visit Watkins Glen and Letchworth State Parks. I think you really enjoy them, because of the geology and landscapes. In NH, TONS of great hiking around, and even to the top of Mt. Washington. Views on all trails are … phenomenal!! I also recommend Big Meadow on the Shenandoah Parkway, in VA. Williamsburg is worth a visit, but Hatteras and Kill Devil Hills are must sees, along with Chincoteague and/or Assateague Islands on the coast. In NC, well … there’s just so much, but in addition to Hatteras and KDH, Pisgah NF, Mt. Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain are at the top of the list. Another State Park I absolutely LOVE is Breaks State Park in VA, but not a ton of great hikes there. Just beautiful vistas and a relaxing vibe.
Letchworth state park is Beautiful! Especially when you see the rainbow in the mist of the waterfall!!

Love the peaceful way the videos start.. including Kelly’s cooking. Maine - yay. No experience in Michigan but pre- RV we ate every lobster dish we could find. Took a ferry to Monhegan island to spend the night. Loved all the lighthouses and Acadia Natl Park.
East coast suggestion… the OBX… Outer Banks of NC.
If you want to catch some big fish, be sure to hit up Cape Lookout National Seashore in NC around October when the drum are running. You can camp for free on the beach with no one else around and it's free. Just have to book a ferry ride and have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. It's beautiful and we always catch fish when we go. We took our NoBo 10.6 last time we went and it was great. Gets a bit windy occasionally so be prepared for that. But it's really an awesome place. Before or after, you should go west to the Linville Gorge and camp off of Old NC Highway 105. Plenty of primitive, free spots to camp and you can hike down to the river and fish for trout. It's also beautiful and amazing. Hope y'all have a great trip!

MI has a lot to offer if you want to see the great lakes. We also have a lot of lakes and rivers. The UP is very primative and beautiful. Lots of waterfalls. For you guys I would suggest kayaking Pictured Rocks. The lower peninsula also has a lot to offer. Sleeping Bear Dunes, the tunnel of trees is a beautiful drive especially in fall, there are so many rivers and lakes it's hard to give a recommendation. We also have an amazing craft beer culture and wineries around the Traverse City area. The State Campgrounds tend to lack privacy. The State Forest Campgrounds are rustic (vault toilets;hand pump water), first-come, and tend to have more spacing and privacy between sites. You are also able to dispersed camp in the national parks and on state land.
Portage Bay State Park! It is in the U.P. of Michigan in the Garden Peninsula. It's an amazing primitive campground. It's also near the ghost town called Fayette. It's a historical mining/smelting harbor that is now a state park.

If you come to the Great smoky mountains then you definitely have visit cades cove. it also has a campground. Elkmont is full of history, campground, and a river to fish in. It's a great place.
Diane & Norm T: We live in the Upper Peninsular of Michigan. Lake Superior is the largest Great Lakes. I would suggest going to Copper Harbor, Mi Their bike trails are recognized as one of the top trail systems in the world, the Copper Harbor mountain bike trails offer some of the most unique terrain and challenging trails, they do have intermediate ones as well. Trees are abundant. The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge was built in 1934 and is on the National Registry. A German restaurant: Harbor Haus, lots of beers, super food. The Fitz in Eagle River offers great food also. I'm biased but our son owns Brickside Brewery in Copper Harbor and run by his family. Established in 2012. So much to see and do, just check out online. We love watching your videos and always wish you safe travels. Looking forward to your trip northward and eastward. Watch you "On the other".
OMG.. you’re coming up to my neck of the woods. You must do some research on the Adirondack park in NYS. The high peaks in the ADK’s is spectacular. There’s 46 high peaks with many trails etc. The lakes are beautiful as well. I do some kayak camping up there in the St Regis canoe area.
If you get the chance to camp in the adirondacks they have some great kayak camping on the islands in Indian Lake. It’s so beautiful and you can camp on an island alone. We did it years ago in our canoe and had a great time. Well until the ranger showed up to tell us a bear broke into our car, but that was my bad as I had left 3 French fries and 1 sip of milk shake in the car and she broke the window to get inside and sat in the drivers seat to finish my meal. That was a long chilly and smelly ride home but still one of our best camping trips ever!

Glen Helen or John Bryan State parks in Ohio is great for hiking. Near Yellow Springs, which is an interesting little town. And of course, Hocking Hills is phenomenal! 😄
Make sure to visit the Canaan Loop Road in the Monongahela NF in WV for some epic dispersed camping. Also visit Seneca Rocks and SpruceKnob in the area
If you come to Michigan, the UP has a lot of boondocking areas - it’s very remote. You must see Lake Superior. Pictured Rocks are lovely. If you can get a permit, try to get to Isle Royale National Park. Lake Michigan has beautiful sand dunes and you MUST cross the Mighty Mackinac Bridge. I live near Lake Huron just across the river from Sarnia, Ontario. There’s lots of good fishing, Cody.
I would recommend spraying Permethrin for the ticks. Spray it on your workout tarp...it lasts for a long time
I knew it! I didn't get a chance to watch this video till just now (busy camping 😃) but when you said you were going somewhere that you had never been before my first thought was Maine! You'll love it here!I commented on one of your Florida videos that we have the best Lobstah rolls! Look at Bradbury Mountain State park. It has a very small campground with no hook ups but it has water, a nice bathhouse and a kitchen wash station area with power outlets. It has biking trails and nice hike up the mountain for beautiful views. Also you are about half an hour away from the coast for local seafood! If you come in the fall alot of the little seafood roadside joints will be closed but you'll be able to find something for sure! Further north is where you'll find the best fall foliage. Look into Acadia or Baxter state park. I've been to Bradbury many times because it's closest to me and you'll enjoy that. The other parks I'm not as familiar with but both are very popular here in Maine! I hope I was helpful! Your gana love it here. It's beautiful, the people are friendly and the food is delicious 😀
I’m from Maine.Anyone in my family would tell you to go to Camden but I don’t think you can beat Bar Harbor right next to the Acadia National Forest. They’ve done allot of summer camp movies at Sabego Lake. Be ready for toll fees.
You will experience surprisingly cold-weather (over night) even in the middle of the summer once you get up around Lake Superior.
Since you're coming to the Great Lakes area and I'm in Ohio here's a few suggestions.
Wayne National Forrest has some good dispersed camping and a few nice primitive campgrounds.
The best hiking in the state are at Hawking Hills State Park, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
A cool grocery store in Cincinnati is Jungle Jim's. It has anything you want and international foods from almost every country including stuff like Kangaroo meat.
Visit Serpent Mound it is an ancient Native American site of mounded earth in the shape of a snake.
Lastly you have to have to have to try White Castle Hamburgers and more importantly Skyline Chilli, get a five way.
I grew up calling it cornmeal mush .... polenta is a fancy word for it ! 😁

I lived in Texas all my life but we always went to Arkansas on vacations. It has the most beautiful scenery, the most gorgeous lakes and rivers. To me it's hard to find anything prettier. A group of us often camp in the National Allegheny Forest (NW Pennsylvania)
Disperse camping off of Forest Road 160 & FR 259. We also stay at Morrison Campground. Unfortunately you can only access Morrison by water or hiking.
There are other campgrounds, but I am not familiar with them. Plenty of trails to hike & mountain bike.
Close by is the Kinzua Dam, Kinzua Bridge Stare Park, Jake’s Rock picnic area/overlook, Rimrock overlook, & fishing/kayaking at the Allegheny River. You can also rent boats by the hour or day at Kinzua Wolf Run Marina.

We were camping in Ouachita NF memorial day weekend. Close to Albert Pike. by long creek on Friday night then off of crooked creek road on a dead end side road. between crooked creek road and little Missouri river.
