Thanks for the helpful video! As I'm about to play my first campaign (with a friend), I'm trying to figure out how to use Theater Boxes correctly. Do I understand correctly that you are primarily concerned about North Africa, because there is active fighting there since the beginning? Maybe it is possible to say from when you need to start taking care about other fronts? Would historical chronology help to understand? After using your method and stopping the transfers, it seems important to know in advance when the need to take care of another front is approaching. Thanks!

In all, two waves of Axis attacks struck. In the morning, the first wave destroyed 1,800 aircraft for two losses, while the second wave lost 33 Axis machines but destroyed 700 Soviet aircraft.[97] The Soviet official history of the VVS only admits to "around" 1,200 losses.[98] In the air battles, Axis losses were more significant. In some cases Luftwaffe losses, relevant to their strength were "shocking"; KG 51 lost 15 Ju 88s in one action. KG 55 lost 10 He 111s over the airfields. In contrast other bombers units suffered lightly. KG 27 claimed 40 Soviet aircraft on the ground, for no loss. Total Luftwaffe losses amounted to 55 on 22 June; 24 Bf 109s, seven Bf 110s, 11 He 111s, two Ju 87s, one Do 17 and 10 miscellaneous types. The Romanian Air Force lost four Blenheims, two PZL P-37 fighters, two Savoia-Marchetti SM.79, one Potez 633, one IAR 37 and one IAR 39. Losses amounted to 90 other Axis aircraft.[95] Soviet statistics contained considerable exaggeration, claiming "more than 200 enemy aircraft" destroyed on the first day.[99] However, the sheer scale of Operation Barbarossa meant that the Luftwaffe lost in the order of as many planes on one day as on its worst day during the Battle of Britain.[100]
According to German reports, 1,811 Soviet aircraft were destroyed on the ground and in the air on June 22, another 755 on June 23, and total 2,546 in just two days of war. Soviet losses, calculated by independent researchers based on Soviet military archives, give an even higher figure - 2,949. Thus, the Luftwaffe even underestimated the number of destroyed Soviet aircraft.[102]
So historically Germans wiped out some 2950 russian aircraft in the first 2 opening days, you got 700 more. Historically losses on first day were 156 aircraft. Wiki doesn't say the losses for second day of attacks, but I would assume they'd also lose some.
So, all in all your losses were 132 aicraft higher than historically, but soviets lost exactly 700 more aicraft than historically. I'd say that's a good trade.

I will also add that historically losses in the 6 month - period was 26 440 aircraft for VVS (lost + creative russian counting to hide losses) vs 3,827 German aircraft alone (460 in June). I would need to search for sources for axis allies but for sure that was another 750-1000 ish losses. Let's say 850, assuming the same loss rate. So historically loss rate was at 5.5 - 6 soviet aircraft for each axis one. Your excess loss rate (over historical) is thus 5.3 to 1. Not perfect, but I don't think you should despair, in fact I'd say it went well.
Edit: Especially as you won't benefit from large losses due to soviet stupidity against a human player (such as soviet revenge bombings , using strategic bombers with no fighter escorts, and all in all no usage of fighter escorts), so getting more than historically at the start will be useful

Just one thing to think about, (I assume) not all air power was directed towards soviet airfields in real life. I assume with have recon, bombing of rail/road, and other infrastructure, headquarters, units, and more. We don't know how much of the German Luftwaffe was devoted to that task in real, or much was in this campaign. Just a thought.

A ton of unescorted bombers got shot down for NP by the looks of it. On the escorted bombing missions the soviets barely touched the bombers. Escorts work, it's worth noting that for future air missions.
Then again, having seen NPs previous campaigns the man seems to detest the air force! In one campaign I think he even grounded, or outright disbanded the entire Luftwaffe. Maybe the use of air power is unfun or unintuitive, surely it is worth it still.
Later in the campaign the swarms of soviet aircraft will induce cursing as they destroy tanks and lower modifiers/rolls. This naturally amplified by the lack of friendly planes or not using them.
I hope the transport planes are based near some major supply hub and are used to help the supply for critical troops. And get escorts so they can be used more than once...

Oh, this is against the same opponent as the Soviet game? Neat! It will be absolutely fascinating to see how he performs as the Soviets; I suspect his style of play will lend itself better to the Red Army compared to the Germans, not to mention he now has experience against some of your more... "adventurous" tactics.

It's the same opponent yes. We did an earlier round with me as axis, but that wasn't recorded. After the order of battle update we decided to start anew. So yes, you could say he's aware of my tricks, and he's learned quite some himself, i might still surprise him. ;)

Won't your moves around L'vov activate the Soviet Southern front in turn 1 instead of turn 2?

Only if you go below or east of a certain hex, and by doing neither of those you'll keep it from activating.

Will you show the campaign to the conclusion this time? I assume both players are making it for content too, so no need to quit in the middle (again)... A loss is content too.

It's not that i didn't want to last time either, but my opponent conceded, so it was his loss as he "quit in the middle". Knowing my opponent it's much more likely we'll be playing this game till much longer but even likelier till the end.

No, he gave up pretty much at that upload, and he removed all episodes from his channel straight away. I think i had 2/3 more episodes and maybe we played 1 more turn, but i didn't feel it was respectful to keep uploading those parts as he clearly threw in the towel and didn't feel comfortable with mutual uploading of consecutive parts anymore. And even if he didn't mind me doing that, i'd rather err on the road that i took, than the other.@@gebus5633
