As an ROG laptop owner I'm here for the ROG 140W GaN Charger.,... It's about F'king time Asus did a ROG-branded GaN charger that can actually charge their ROG Branded stuff.... FYI, ROG laptops have some weird extra microchip that won't let other chargers charge their devices to 100W+
I've made the mistake of buying a few that were not dock style. They flop around too much. I have a Lenovo Legion Go. I've been looking for something small and easily portable. This is honestly exactly what I've been looking for and I just read a post about it a few days ago. Thanks for the review, perfect timing 4 me.
Something gross i do is stick the ally facing backwards on my old 5 port jsaux dock and rotate the whole thing to have front facing usb. its awkward but costs me $0. the other $0 option is to use the paper stands to offset the ally so the usb arm reaches which works well enough with other docks i own.
Can I plug a micro sd card into the dock if I use that usb c slot with an adapter? My ally is amazing but I need extra storage while using my monitors and keyboard
Hey in your video you state you should be able to get turbo mode using the 65w charger provided with the Ally X and the dock, i have this setup however i cant get it to enter turbo mode, do you know why that may be?
Hi my 30w turbo is not working with dock , using an rog ally , the white one , do u know whats the issue ? Im using the original rog ally charger along with it
Im confused, do you need the dock to connect rog ally to an external monitor and get up 4k or can you connect the ally straight with a usbc to hdmi cable? Is there a difference
Hey ETA Prime. Does hte 5GB USB C port support video out via USB C? It would be nice to setup my portable workstation so the PD port powers my Ally while the 5GB port provides power and video to my portable display. Thanks in advance!
I don’t know if it’s relevant for the new 140W charger, but I bought the 65W charger/dock for the ROG Ally and it blew up within a day of use. I got a refund from the store, but with all the controversy with ASUS and their return policy, I’m not sure I would buy anything from them with a possibly dodgy USB-C PD implementation. It tripped a breaker on a low amp circuit, but if I was in another room it might have killed my laptop etc. and I would probably not be compensated.
When you connect this device via HDMI, will the battery life be reduced or damaged, because as I see the device is in a charging state, is it damaged or not? Please explain.
Hey bro I'm looking for type c USB Docking stations which covers all types of ports and 2 HDMI Ports on it. I'm going to use it in my rog phone 7 and laptop both can you please make video on it big fan from india.
@@Yamiyamzzzzzzz i ended up retuning mine. I have having nothing but issues with single to and from my legion go. I was using it docked with a usb stick for my keyboard and Bluetooth mouse. The keyboard didn't work unless i was right on to of the legion go. The screen also had tares in it. I ended up getting a different brand one and haven't had issues yet.
It’s cool but I don’t like how it just sticks out and the wire sits up like that. Gonna wait for a more aesthetically pleasing and functional one. The ROG one seems cool but think I already got a 140 or 165w wall plug something like that
Yea why not get a 140W charger for $110 when you can get a 160W UGREEN for $99 or 140W UGREEN for $68…UGREEN a brand with MUCH better reputation…cmon dude dont sell yourself on these things…
Come on man, there are hundreds of different accessories. The chances he covers the ones you want is low. Instead of complain, you could just say, he fellas there are also these other alternatives to check out.
Because it's an official Asus charger provided to him for review to coincide with the new Ally X, also from Asus, so he's reviewing it to show that it works as advertised. He didn't exactly tell anyone to buy this and not the others did he? And no one's stopping you from getting a $68 Ugreen plug if the $110 Asus one doesn't tickle your fancy.

You never answer any question, I asked about drivers you use with the Ally X + onexgpu for days now. these company need to stop giving you anything ETA Prime you pull false advertisement I'm ready to return this Ally X over your video you lied I have both devices Ally X plus Onexgpu does not put out that type of performance if it's not a lie what driver's are you using because 780m or 7480u side-load 7600mxt do NOT perform at 1440p 60fps.
He stated the monitor is connected via the HDMI port on the dock and the dock connects to one of the USB-C ports from the ally enabling passthrough, do you also need instructions on dressing yourself or putting on your shoes?

So that’s why it’s tricky tbh like I have an anker 150w charger but it’s only giving it a small amount of power

I bought the HB1201S instead of this mainly due to lack of VRR, HDR and removable usb C input cable
At only double the price
Jsaux NEEDS to make a transparent RGB back like they do for the OG Ally......but add in a built in kickstand for the Ally X!
Any recommendations for ALLM & VRR docks?
Docked I have to turn off freesync, even though my monitor supports it. Games just go black or flicker off and on. Does this dock work with freesync?

Same :/ can't find a firmware update for this particular dock
Do I have to update firmware for this dock? I’m new to this.
PS I use this dock with Ally X
When will it coming to the uk market? Would like to buy this for my Rog Ally X. But can’t seem to find a place that sells it, even the website itself.
Is rog ally wont turn off the screen when docked? Thanks
Does it work for the original rog ally??
Will the stand work for Onexplayer Pro 2? Isn't it too thick for the stand? Thank you.

Can you plug in a racing sim
Could you test out the Xreal Air glasses with this dock pls

With 100 watts is there better performance than the official ally dock
Can I hook this up to my 75” TV ?? 📺

No, when it gets to 100 percent, Rog ally switch to a bypass mode
Wonder if that dock works with a Nintendo Switch
Awe man I just bought the 65W ASUS Rog charger dock at Best Buy. Didn’t know there was a new model. Got it for 15 bucks though..
Too bad it is not yet available, as well in france

Careful with docks, my ivoler dock wiped my SD card because of a bad comnector.
Ty for your vids bro
I feel like that jsaux is just 1x M.2 slot from greatness... but that's just my personal opinion...
Thats going to be sick
Funny thing i bought the 5 in 1 yesterday off Amazon. Just put in a return for it as i just ordered the new 6 in 1 in this video.
There’s a 12 in 1. Which is the best purchase? I’m new to this.
