In deze video zie je hoe zeehondenpup Maximo arriveert in het Zeehondencentrum. Maximo is de eerste gewone zeehondenpup van het zomerseizoen. We vermoeden dat hij te vroeg is geboren. Om te bepalen wat de beste zorg voor hem is, doen de dierenartsen een intake. Kijk je mee?

after how many days are they released into the wild? in north pole, it's 10 days after birth. then the mom leaves the pup.
Thanks! And for Common / Harbour seals in our region, the mothers will suckle them an average of 21 days. We are ofcourse not as good as their own mum, so it takes us a little longer: an average of 2 months. Then they are released again.

@@zeehondencentrumpieterbure9268 I’ve learned so much about them and yet I lived so close! Go figure? I have a question if you don’t mind. On the pups above the right eye and above the left eye, there seems to be a hole, just what is that? Just being curious! Thanks for giving them a hand!!
