“Are you alright? Why are you late?” Why is that even a question 😂
@@akaviral5476 Dunno- I think I'd wanna know what everyone got up to and ask with a lot more interest lol
How is the hospital not ready for this when it happens EVERY YEAR ON THE SAME DAY?
Not enough doctors that are qualified and employed to treat all those people.
I know it's just a TV show and the point is not to worry about the reality, but the way they sort of half-engage with it gets annoying. I could list a thousand things but the really big one is the no firefighting response for 12 hours. In New York city, there are about 30,000 structural fires per year, or over 70 per day. Which means even without a purge, even by simply stopping all fire services for 12 hours, you'd have 35-40 structural fires raging out of control. With a purge? With arson legal? There are people who get off on setting really big fires, it is their thing. A really big city deliberately and carefully set alight over a 12 hour period is DONE. Packed hospitals? No chance. The hospitals would be burning.
You’re absolutely right. Every city in the US would burn to the ground if there was a 12 hour period where civil disobedience isn’t just legal, it’s encouraged, and there are no emergency services
@talkaboutwacky You know what? One year there's a big fire. And the next year they would have to escalate, for a bigger thrill. Sooner or later, someone would take our an entire city on purpose.
The hospitals can’t be damaged or destroyed during the purge, it counts as a safezone from it from what I remember
@@Apocryptoz Tell that to the fire. Good luck stopping a fire that has already basically consumed several blockw
I like that somebody used purge night to toilet paper some trees.
I would do my taxes wrong on purge and couldn't do anything about it. Suddenly I made nothing but paid 2 billion in taxes.
That would require you to actually be able to submit those taxes during The Purge.
i hate to be a hospital or insurance company after the purge would have to be in another business
They probably have a clause in their policy… that allows them to not pay out for damages due to purge.
How could anybody possibly thing that something like the Purge would be a good thing? For anybody!
I honestly feel like more people want to steal expensive stuff than kill...
What happens is that days before the purge the banks take out all their money and put it on planes that keep them flying during the purge but they must leave a certain amount available during the purge that the government requires of them. And also the shopping centers or supermarkets They withdraw all their products and keep them flying on planes during the night of the purge
Rooftop militias would totes be a thing. Rooftop Koreans and people defending their homes and work would be willing to lay it all down to protect those inside for the night.
i never thought about it cause i’ve never watched it but the purge is just a nightmare idea for those in medicine. like ???
Smart that someone said "Hold on, we said that, after 24 hours, everything goes back to normal. Well, let's see how much of a headache the Legal System has after the Purge..."
Sorry but this would not be a thing. I understand the implications of Purge night but if every year, this much carnage would happen, people would stop it.
You are right, but people support it because this way the country stays afloat the rest of the year and Americans live better lives except for Purge Night.
@@jamesgeorge7579 The premise of the Purge, which is quite literally proven wrong in-universe itself, is that during Purge night, the majority of violence are committed by poor people against each other. Less poor people, less infrastructure need to support them. Hypothetically, if they are able to loot rich people, then that is just redistribution to the poor (but in universe that is never admitted). Also a whole mumbo jumbo about how Purge night keep people civil around the rest of the year (due to the promise of revenge once Purge night come) as well as blown off steam.
What ACTUALLY happened during Purge night from the very first is, afaik, government sanctioned mercenary sent out to kill any poor people they came across.
@@jamesgeorge7579 Stocks surge due to illegal trading. Many businesses that capitalize on the Purge would have days of income to rival or exceed Black Friday. Entire industries would form around it, which would inevitably lead to politicians (who are in little to no danger of being hurt or killed) defending it as vital to the country's economy. Those in lower classes that choose to partake and are able to survive unharmed would find themselves with the spoils of their crimes, be it in the form of stolen monetary wealth or the eradication of personal vendettas. The Purge is bootstrap capitalism taken to the extreme, and the same way you have people claiming that THAT system enables people to better their lives now, there would be people defending the Purge for the same reason.
sometimes I think movies copy life, this is so good 👍
@G GaffGaff any human is capable of hurting another. Never know what's going on in everyone's heads
If I poison someone on Purge night but they die a week later from the poison do I go to jail
I would stay during the purge but if I don't have enough ammo are a lot of guys nah man I'm leaving town
I would be sort of scared to leave town. Unless you do it a week in advance, you risk getting caught in such traffic that you would just be stuck in traffic. And a lot of safer places would be full. Plus, as the movies have pointed out, a lot of feel like they have to stay out to protect their property
The scary thing is how real this could be if the government ever did this
"the scary thing is that if this happened it would happen" man is on to NOTHING
Purge night, huh? Well, guess when I'm booking a vacation to Mexico?
The guy the blooded man took the breakfast from tried to kill him during the Purge that he reacted so scared when seeing him?
I think the bloody man got left alone on purge by his best friend (the scared guy) and the bloody man got taken by people but managed to kill them and now he’s holding a grudge on he scared guy. The guy is probably scared that his friend will take revenge on him on the next purge for leaving him, almost letting him get killed.
@@ashki9972 Aha, that would give some interesting tension in the series. One purge per year, right? That'll mean one whole year to live in fear or to befriend him again.
Or, just leave the freaking country, but hey; that won't do the plot any good.
I bet the friend who left him had a crush on his girl and was planning on trying to “ comfort “ her and/ or make her his girlfriend
@@pookiesis1465nah thats not it. as far as i remember from the show they went outside and the bloody guy got into a trap and dragged behind a metal fence. the other guy tried to open it but couldnt and when the killer came to the spot the guy left his friend alone out of being scared. but the bloody friend managed to kill the killer (thats why hes full of blood) and now he wants to take revenge on his friend
But what happens if I see a working tank…even tho it’s illegal 😃😃😃
aunque el gobierno diga q los servicios estan suspendidos igual hay control gubernamental y por tanto militares q saldrian a las calles
