Who knew? Groucho in the Hollar Homestead kitchen helpin' make chicken 'n' wafflez! Add Ben's prosciuttoery and Meg's great music and editing touches along with the pretty "koala" baby....and what's not to ❤ ?? 👀🔥🐐👏👏👏👏
hey Ben, ...not that you don't have enough to do already,... but have you ever played your guitar for background music in these videos? That would be a lovely add. Love you guys! and THanks!
Had a laugh out of this one cause I remember that commercial, and it was so funny when the little girl said, "and I halped"! (With her very southern accent!!)😂😁🤣
Sweet. I have never had chicken and waffles before, but that looked amazing. Meg, what ingredients did you lovingly toss in the bag to coat the chicken? Baked not fried. Love that.
Fried chicken and waffles with real maple syrup- awesome real food for a hard working winter season night. Wise parenting and family cooperation evident in every episode without showmanship. by the way, I respect when yo take a break from the camera- good on ya.
Andy and Megan on True Grit-Appalachia just posted a video on curing hams and roasts. Their families have done it the same way for over 100 years, generation after generation. I think you would appreciate their ways. No refrigeration needed. My parents did it this way in Europe.
Here in New Zealand, we haven't had a summer yet. Last week we had temps of 10C (50F) at midday (it should be in the 70's!)! Crops and pastures are not growing as they should be. Blessings to you and the family.
I cant help but giggle, I live in Alaska, and last year we got over 6ft of snow, 5ft stayed on ground as it fell. Finally in April and May we saw the ground.
We still have 3-4" in the yard but fortunately we have plenty of plows around here and with the remaining ice on the road melting some every day since the storm, roads are dry here.
I am liking the suspenders. The artistic winter shots were awesome. Film in case of success and put out later as an off day filler or keep private for learning in review. LoL
Love it..we aren't hanging meats. I couldn't even imagine with two creative cats and two dogs. I can just imagine hearing Pita (pain in the arse) waking up from his night escapades and jumping to that. It's a tiny thought tho... dogs are counter surfers and wild dogs come by and kill chickens sometimes. So.. really... barn bathroom is the only closed in place I can think of , well, boys old bathroom in the middle. (Thos is possible) Thanks for the pillow case tip❤
I have been watching your channel for a while. You and your family give a lot of good information. I have been a chef for 35 years, and watching you break down that chicken; to be honest, you did a better job than me. lol keep it up.
Recipe/links please for waffles and chicken! Just received a waffle maker for Christmas, need a good Belgian waffle recipe! Looked on your website but didn't see it! Thank you!
1 cup flour; 1 tsp baking powder; 1 egg; 1 "blob" of sour cream or yogurt (perhaps roughly 1 tbsp); 1 cup of milk or the amount to create the texture you like.
I do not miss the gnats! But, I do miss my flip flops and tank tops!!! We got six inches. It's only in the shady spots now. Happy to see it GO. My bf's 4th grandbaby is due March 6th! God's amazing blessings!!!
I'm with you Ben on the Snow v Ice thing, but for me the issue with Ice is the 'fake' hip and both knees, I'd really rather not need further surgery on either knee or hip - though being 47, its highly likely some sort of further surgery will be needed in the next decade, both have just a 20 year lifespan and i've had mine now for about that span (2006-2008)following the bombings. It is great watching kids play in snow though.
Love Ben's suspenders. Didn't Charles Ingals ( Little house on the Prarie) always wear them?
It’s so funny when the boys wear there costumes when helping in the kitchen. I always get a good laugh from that.
A great day to Ben, Meg and all the Hollar family, not a SNOW-DAY but a SNOW-WEEKEND !!
Love that the boys get to see their dad as well as their mum cook and some of them try it too. They will, unlike many, grow up to be self sufficient.
I got a little excited to see y'all's post and then started watching the actual video. Whoa Nelly! These intro shots are captivating. Nice camera work
Children and snow, what a fun combination ❤😂
As i watch from Canada, I love seeing all the southerners so thrilled with the snowfall. It makes me smile.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! Depending on the winter, we start cursing when we get snow!
God Bless The Hollar Homestead! I love this family! 😅
You all made my mouth water for homemade chicken and waffles!!! Love the masked mystery chef! :))) Love the Hollar Family! God Bless you all!
Stunning nature photography!!! Hahaha I love the masked mystery chef too!! 😂

hey Ben, ...not that you don't have enough to do already,... but have you ever played your guitar for background music in these videos? That would be a lovely add. Love you guys! and THanks!
Yes even we city North Carolinians have had snow and ice to deal with. As usual love your videos.
Waffles and chicken really look good
‘IT’S SHAKE N BAKE!
AND I HALPED!
Had a laugh out of this one cause I remember that commercial, and it was so funny when the little girl said, "and I halped"! (With her very southern accent!!)😂😁🤣

The chicken and waffles look delicious. The two little girls are cute as ever.
I'm amazed that so many people have watched this and so few give it a thumbs up. 🤔❤️🇨🇦😊🙏

I've had pigs in a blanket before, but I've never heard of pigs in a pillowcase lol! And the anonymous chef helping cook cracks me up
Great vlog; thanks for sharing! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦🌲

We usually have 10 inches by now and we do not have any in Southern Minnesota.
happy new year!

One of my Dobermans was a counter surfer! Took forever training her not to do that! Now I have a cat that thinks the counter is her pathway!🥴
Snow is really good at taking nitrogen from sky to the ground so should have good growing season this year.
Pillow case makes a great jelly bag for straining fruits for making jelly!
That meal looked yummy.😊

Really good to see you again. God bless.
Golly! Here in central Kentucky we got 5” snow with .75” ice on top and then another 4” snow on top that! Crazy! lol ❤
I’ve never had waffles and chicken but I heard it was delicious 😋
I think I remember you preparing a prosciutto in the December class.
Home-cured Country ham for Easter? What time should I be there! LOL
The Masked Chef waffles again! 😅🥸🧇🍗
Chicken looked great !What was in the coating?

❤beautiful nature shots - thx for sharing those! Meg- what do you use for the breading/coating on the chicken? Thx & God bless❤
Just cornmeal with salt and seasonings (garlic, onion, oregano, paprika, a touch of cayenne)
