So just in case not everyone is up on their Honkai lore, the "can she cook?" question in relation to Acheron is a reference to Mei from HI3 and Ei from Genshin. In HI3 Mei is a cook so good she has reached meme god status. Two daily missions are in the game just to give out 30 Energy each and they're Mei's Lunch and Dinner. She also mans a food store in a side game mode.
That would be why Ei in Genshin not being able to cook at all is actually a lore joke. Mei learned to cook because of Kiana, but as Ei didn't really have a Kiana, she's unable to cook.
So when people are asking whether she can cook, they're asking if this is Mei or not and if we have another Raiden Shogun situation at hand.
