Hello Lars, I hope you are doing well as well.Great UA-cam channel you have here,I really appreciate your hard work.I have found it a bit difficult to find any suitable videos on the cam side of Fusion 360. There are some available but they seem to be done by students just learning Fusion 360 that don't approach the software as a machinist or cnc programmer would so they skip over or miss a lot of the points that you cover. Thank you for the excellent videos .
Is this how Fusion and a360 work?I recently purchased a subscription to Fusion 360 and I was quite confused by the filing system.I believe everything is saved in the cloud but not sure.It would be nice to be able to save drawings part files etc... in a regular windows fashion.
Hi Ed, I hope you are doing well. I know you can export your Fusion 360 models to STEP and IGES, but let me see if I can not get a Fusion expert to chime in here so we both learn the real deal. :-)
Hi Ed, Great to hear you're working with Fusion 360! I'm one of Lars' colleague on the Fusion 360 Team. In regards to File structure for Fusion, as of now, all your part/assembly files are stored in the cloud/a360. In Fusion 360, there is currently only one file extension (.f3d), and as Lars mentioned, you can export your files a STEP, IGES, event .dxf or PDF for drawings. Hope this helps.
