Some people will do anything for views, and usually they are not geniune as a result. Hence they don't get good feedback. As long as you make content that you're into, you should be golden. Some people misunderstand things and don't like them, it's gonna happen. But I never go by other people's understanding of things. ...I would be a bad collectivist. I would have to purge myself. And no I don't know what the perfect 'content' is, and yes I'm probably too disorganized to ever make some of my own. because you'd have to sell your house, quit your job, leave all your friends and family, move overseas, acquire a visa to live/work there, buy a new house, get a job, probably learn a new language, make an entire new set of friends.. it's a ridiculously hard thing to do for better weather.

Don't get me wrong, I think the decline of Braille is a topic worth discussing, but the money is merely a result of the attention your video garnered. Donating that money doesn't change how many people saw the video, or how your usership was affected by that video. Jumping ahead to address wheats2213, I think you're misinterpreting his comment. Here's what I think wheats is saying: wheats is expressing their disbelief that you can be successful despite releasing subpar content. There's a difference between an admirable job and a good job. I think wheats would say that you have a good job. I'm sure there's more that goes on behind the scenes, but I can't imagine your work is particularly physically strenuous. I think what wheats is upset about is that you're earning a buttload of money while producing content they deem isn't particularly good. To elaborate, wheats doesn't find low effort work that provides a large reward to be admirable work. This is my interpretation of what they are saying. Do I agree with this? Not really. I've filmed and edited videos before and it's time consuming. There's so much that goes into a finished product that people don't see. In regards to your channel, it largely isn't for me. I'm not connected enough with the skateboard community to care about all the drama and seeing skate reviews of skateboarders(especially with the title Actually Any Good) isn't a draw for me. IMO what's largely missing from skate content is the community. Seems like everyone films solo these days, and the parks are empty. More than anything else, I think people want to connect, and if you can't show that skateboarding is an avenue to connect with like minded people, make friends, and form a community, then skateboarding is going to continue to die.

But it's better to live up to your own standard than the standard of 100k people, because you can never please everyone. Some days I wanna make a video about my ps2 or something stupid, and then I feel like my account is more for pissing people off and then I don't do it. If you have a platform, you can use it for more than promoting your skating, but if it's a skate channel, you have to make endless skate content too, and how long can that last? I remember you tweaked your ankle recently around when I started watching, and then you were at home talking about your skin condition and bad skaters and I had fun watching the channel. There's only so much skating and recording you can do, so many tricks to teach, so many bad skaters with sponsorships to dissect. etc
