Bro why are you buying it here and shipping it. Asking as I did some research and you can by the mixer grinder in Canada for nominal rates. Asking as I the reason is not obvious for me and I'm going abroad this year want to prepare myself.

A very valid question brother.. but when you check the prices you will understand.. for instance the same mixie in Canada is available for not less than $250 (INR~15,000) for me. Usually the electronics are cheaper abroad than in India but not so for some of the desi appliances. In the recent years Preethi had been manufacturing and exporting the mixies directly to abroad dealers and hence you see the huge price tag difference. And you also have the tax here that’s added extra on top. Instead of paying such, most of us plan to take it from here as reasonable low cost and baggage weight friendly.

I will take your same question as to the iPhone market, the same is manufactured in China, but the models are made specific to different countries. It is available in india as well as other countries but there is a good price difference at times. I bought my iPhone here in Canada as my purchasing capacity was higher and it’s quite common goods here unlike in India. My iPhone costed me just a week’s salary to get it, but in india same iPhone would have cost me close to two months salary based on my job.

Either way at the end it’s ultimately your call to where and for how much you plan to get it. I preferred to buy from the place where the manufacturer really produces it and at cheaper cost. I planned to burden the logistics for myself instead of getting it in the abroad country markets.
