I thought the same thing about the frame. They will probably straighten it. I have used the pull and knock method as well but then I have no reason to use my favorite tool. lol Thanks for watching.
Necessity is the mother of invention when it comes to repairing that wheel for sure. I've never seen the inserts pop out of the door handles like that though, usually they break somewhere else on the handle. You should see this Prius I've been working on, it makes the Yuckon look spotless! I have to replace the left quarter, roof skin (you think GM headliner harnesses are difficult?) right front door skin, and about 12 hours worth of repair on the right quarter and right rear door. I filled one of the lawn sized trash bags with about 50lbs of stinky clothes that came out of the rear hatch just so I could pull the interior trim. I don't want to mention the smell or the fact that this poor car has never been vaccumed or cleaned in its 9 year lifespan. Edit... Nice deal on the scanner though, I picked one up just because of the price. Most scanners like that don't do ABS or SRS, at least in that price range. I somehow managed to get an additional 10% off coupon on top of the discount so it was only $89. Only 5 left in stock now!
I see this generation GM truck door handle break like that almost daily. lol I have seen much worse in the trashed interior department. Some disgusting stuff on brand new cars even. The scanners were on sale and with the discount, you end up with 30% off right now. I thought is was a good deal for the same reasons.
Thanks, I think about all the new stuff in older cars all the time. However, I remember those take a lot longer to build and more space. I also sell a good majority of what I build and I don't know anything about the restomod market. I'll just stick with my boring everyday cars that are in my comfort zone. lol
Looks like Mr Spotty needs to quit the Newports......thats bad for his health....lol! Interesting method of straightening up that wheel.....use what ya got!!
I have been telling him to quit but he won't listen. lol I don't straighten too many wheels but since theses are expensive and the damage was only cosmetic it thought it was worth a try.

The perks of a couple that both work out.. tons of empty protien and pre-work out tubs to use as storage 😂😂
My girlfriend might have an unhealthy addiction to preworkout. lol LOTS of C4 containers!
As always great video.
Thanks!
Dude that is some great work!! Do you have another project lined up?
Thanks, I do have some other ones I have filmed and one I am waiting for parts.
The piece that you say you're not sure what it does. It looks like it lines up with the styrofoam absorber in bumper, helps support it.
This has been a neat build. Have ever thought about a old body on a newer frame?
Thanks, I think about all the new stuff in older cars all the time. However, I remember those take a lot longer to build and more space. I also sell a good majority of what I build and I don't know anything about the restomod market. I'll just stick with my boring everyday cars that are in my comfort zone. lol
@@vehcor well you do a great job.. and your daughter gonna show you some new tricks before you know it
Looks like Mr Spotty needs to quit the Newports......thats bad for his health....lol! Interesting method of straightening up that wheel.....use what ya got!!
I have been telling him to quit but he won't listen. lol I don't straighten too many wheels but since theses are expensive and the damage was only cosmetic it thought it was worth a try.
I'm not telling you how to manage your crew... but I'm going to. Crazy eyes should have been running the door handle repair. If anybody knows epoxy and isocyanates it's him. Maybe he called in sick?
Him and slim (who hasn't been around since his introduction) were out drinking the night before!
