    I watched and enjoyed the rebuild of the dirtnali. I enjoy and look forward to your videos every week and crack up when I see your post it notes with the smile face on it. I noticed that after you finished the truck, two other rebuild shows, Goonzquad and Alex rebuilds are now also rebuilding GMC Denali pickups. I think you started a trend.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 років тому

      I don't know about starting trends, I just do what I want. Those are popular trucks, I am surprised I was the first to do one. I checked them out after you said something. Goonzquad's is a weekend job, hard to believe they totaled it. Alex rebuild's is a little more work but for a brand new truck, worth it. I hope theirs turn out like mine. The truck is great. I still have some finishing touches to do on it but I don't want to stop driving it. lol Thanks for watching and the info on what's going on. I was wondering why my Dirtnali videos suddenly became popular again. lol

I see the ads for places that will fix bends as well and buff out gouges, scratches, polish and clear coat. Just wondering...seems like you see a lot of wheel damage in your line of work and replacements are pricey!

    Good afternoon Scott, man you are just flat getting on this build. Looks great, I do like that color. Is this a low milage vehicle? Clear title or salvage? Somebody is going to get a really nice vehicle. Thanks for the great Friday afternoon video. Your help this week doesn’t hold a candle to the pretty young thing. You take care.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 років тому

      It was a quick one! This one was a salvage title and only 80K which is extremely low for these. The help this week actually started with the same knowledge as the afternoon crew. He has worked with me for years and has gotten pretty good at the stuff I don't like. I taught him everything I didn't want to do, buffing, painting, bondo, and cleaning. Have a good week!

    Vehcor, check out Goonsquads latest build, Denali, looks to me like a bent chassis behind the suspension wishbone where they all bend when hit hard, no mention of damage so far, I get my steering wheels off by pulling and pushing either side while giving it the odd knock with fist, always worked for me, great info in vid as usual.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 років тому

      I thought the same thing about the frame. They will probably straighten it. I have used the pull and knock method as well but then I have no reason to use my favorite tool. lol Thanks for watching.

    Necessity is the mother of invention when it comes to repairing that wheel for sure. I've never seen the inserts pop out of the door handles like that though, usually they break somewhere else on the handle.
    You should see this Prius I've been working on, it makes the Yuckon look spotless! I have to replace the left quarter, roof skin (you think GM headliner harnesses are difficult?) right front door skin, and about 12 hours worth of repair on the right quarter and right rear door. I filled one of the lawn sized trash bags with about 50lbs of stinky clothes that came out of the rear hatch just so I could pull the interior trim. I don't want to mention the smell or the fact that this poor car has never been vaccumed or cleaned in its 9 year lifespan.
    Edit...
    Nice deal on the scanner though, I picked one up just because of the price. Most scanners like that don't do ABS or SRS, at least in that price range. I somehow managed to get an additional 10% off coupon on top of the discount so it was only $89. Only 5 left in stock now!

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 років тому +1

      I see this generation GM truck door handle break like that almost daily. lol I have seen much worse in the trashed interior department. Some disgusting stuff on brand new cars even. The scanners were on sale and with the discount, you end up with 30% off right now. I thought is was a good deal for the same reasons.
