Hello from my fishroom channel in Chicago, where I'm delighted to subscribe to yours. Love the tour (and the garden). shame we couldn't meet the fishroom's owner - I'm guessing he chose not to be on camera?
Me too! He has a good sized pond on his property as well! Next time I am out there, I plan to do an entire video of just what he has going on outside of his house!
Pygmaeus are wonderful little rainbows. I am biased though, being Aussie. I love all the 'Bows. Blue eyes and gudgeons are awesome fish too. Check out Desert Gobies and Peacock Gudgeons for companions to Pygmys.
What a cool tour! I live in western Iowa myself (right on the Iowa/ Nebraska border). Have 16 tanks that we are breeding out of so far, but hoping to expand in the nearish future. My favorite fish from your tour are the corydoras eques. They are my bucket list fish. Curious where you guys source your fish from? Thanks for the tour!
@@jodip719 we get most of our fish from fellow breeders, whether that's through online connections, people we have met at events, or the local swap meets! Omaha has a couple swap meets every year, as well as Des Moines. The largest in the area is definitely the Quad Cities swap, though! Buzz me an email, we probably aren't far from each other, and it's always nice to meet like minded folks!
@All_Things_Fish I've gotten a few of mine from another breeder in lincoln, ne a few times. My husband and I did go to the fish swap in omaha earlier this year and waiting for the next one. Would love to check out the quad cities swap next year though! I will send an email to you.
They are pretty neat! They'd probably display a little better color if the background wasn't pink! Haha. I give him crap for it every time I'm over there
Hey Ben! The tetras are alestopetersius sp. Lukeni! I made the mistake of falsely calling them a type of Congo tetra, which they are not. So I edited it out to avoid spreading bad info!
I went back and double checked after you mentioned this. It's actually one od the small screens he put on the tote! I had to watch it a couple times before I figured it out! Haha
Sup brother 😊just remembered that I won one of your giveaway last year lol it a plants that time time a little cold in your place . Hopefully you remembered 🤣
I enjoy trying new things! Even though they all function fairly similarly, maybe one of them works better for someone's specific situation than another!
I live in Iowa myself and I am looking into raising fish I want to start slow and work my way into the hobby, but I am also getting interested in breeding to, any ideas, or reliable sources to get fish pairs as well as learning information about just raising fish in general would be cool.

Just curious what part of the state are you in I'm from near Fort Dodge but live in Thailand now

What is that sponge type????
Ward ordered Poret foam from Swiss Tropicals to use for sponge filter media. It works great!
