7:30, first thing LIC is not a company, it's a corporation with special act "Life Insurance corporation Act 1956" and it's not listed in Indian stock markets (BSE/NSE), the listed company is LIC Housing & Financing. second important point LIC is too big to fall, it is the most profitable institution/corporation in India after RBI. it's 2018 P&L (₹ in crore), Total Net income = 5,23,611.(including all Premium, Investment income) Total expenditure = 2,62,926. rest is profit.
How rbi is a company and how does it make profit.
