It has been hard but fun practicing and arranging this without tabs or a whammy pedal, I hope you guys enjoy and let me know if you guys want me to make tabs!
bro, i dont usually comment of videos, but this shit was insane. It sounds so much like the orginal, I can only aspire to be as good as you, like im not even joking I started tearing because of how good this was
@@LeroyGuitar lol awesome, I guess you had 2 takes? Was thinking you had a 2nd camera running at the same time for the alternate angle. Great editing skills too!
The first thought when I saw the title "Without Whammy Pedal" I was like, nah.. that's crazy. Now I see you're really crazy (in a good way lmao) Great cover!
@@LeroyGuitar Oh.. thank you. Can you share the exercises? wow.. I appreciate your dedication. I loved your song star.. please don't stop making music!
This is insane, now I can't lie to myself that I can't learn this solo since I don't have a whammy pedal... The truth is that I can't learn it, because I suck.
Thanks man! It’s a fret wrap, you can use it to stop string noise behind the nut (on the headstock) or on the fretboard so the open strings don’t ring out when you are soloing like I used it here
Your vid from 12 days ago was excellent. I especially liked hearing your solo in isolation, stuff I didn't even notice in Scott's version. THIS one tho… even better somehow? Bonkers. You got some talented hands.
Thanks man! If you look at my left hand in the video in the periods when im not playing fast lines, you can see im using my index finger to cover the strings behind the fingers that fret the note I want, this will mute open string noise!
Thanks so much, I'm going to start doing that. Loved this cover, and blackbone.@@LeroyGuitar Last question - do you have any vid resources for sweeping that got you into it originally?
hey bro i was wondering if you know all the theory behind these covers and solo's or if you're just really good at learning them by feel/ear ... I've been playing guitar for like 15 years but only within the last year have started trying to learn my theory etc.. lemme tell you i wish i tried sooner because it's pretty difficult now lol. I've also tried learning songs like "Thrash" by Unprocessed, but find it so difficult as I don't understand exactly what I'm doing aside from memorizing phrases haha. I guess I'm just looking for any tips/stepping stones that could help me play as well as you.
Hi man thanks for the comment. Not to sure how to answer you, but when I learn songs by ear, I do not think much about the theory behind it, I just play what I hear and then memorise it by repeatedly playing it. I think it isn’t bad to not understand a riff and just memorise it, it just won’t improve your musical knowledge.
If you are looking to try to understand stuff, try studying intervals and chord progressions. Then you will see why all these notes work and why this chord sounds good after that one
Hi man! First I'd recommend trying it out and checking if the dealer has a fair return policy, and if there's anything wrong you can send it back no matter what obviously. But yeah I have had my Charvel for two years now I think and it's phenomenal for its price! A few things which are bad that I have experienced (and maybe won't be the same with other players or other charvels) is I had to invest in a good cable (or a right angled cable will work) because the way the input jack is positioned makes the cable always bend down and I have 3 broken cables which to be fair they were cheap but cheap cables shouldn't last so short. Another thing is my strings keep breaking at the same spot which is the bridge, could be the amount of time I practice or use the whammy bar. lastly recently my pickup selector is faulty and I have to apply deoxit every few weeks to make sure it doesn't cut out but I think this problem is a one off. However asides everything, this guitar makes me practice way more than any other guitar, Charvel have nailed this one, and the pickups are amazing even the split coil tones!
@@LeroyGuitar Also, fantastic cover! I have been playing exclusively on an acoustic guitar for the last 8 years. Then I ran into Polyphia and I just said “screw it” I need an electric guitar now lol. So, the pickup selector can get cut off? I had no idea. I also had no idea there were good and bad cables. I was also thinking of picking up an Ibanez prestige. But if I got a Charvel I could also buy a sick tube amp.
@@cjsmith8319 Thanks man! I think the pickup selector switch is a one off problem probably cause I keep smacking it lol. Ibanez prestige would be great and tube amps would sound killer as well. You could if you wanted to look into amp modelling units

Is it me or it sounds even better than original one
Amazing 🔥 I can’t shred like that 😭

possible to do a tutorial on how you get the exact tones on Archetype Petrucci and tim henson neural DSP?
I’m not planning to but I don’t use neural DSP for most of my tones

thats awesome dude!!! will you consider making tabs?
I will definitely consider tabs if this video keeps getting views!
Hey that's not fair
Was this one take or did you stitch together multiple takes? Either way it's awesome, just curious
