Personally, I like to customize all my apps so as to avoid keep checking notifications that come into my phone if I don't have to. I can always just concentrate on what I'm doing and check later.
No longer true due to updates. Samsung apparently removed notification on separate apps. Therefore, you cannot have separate apps sound. The app's sound is the same on all apps. If you want separate notification sound, please sen complaint to Samsung for removing separate app sound. I had the separate text app sound and now no longer exist.
I just tried it and it let me set different sounds per notification type. For example, on the UA-cam page, if a channel I subscribe to posts a new video, my phone will now 'ding' but if someone comments on something I said it will 'beep'.
U have to enable it in settings. Go to notifications in settings then click on advanced settings the scroll to the bottom...just figured this out today😊
