I have a Coach wallet that is 18 years old that I love, my husband bought it for my birthday when we started dating. It tore and separated a bit on the edge in a place similar to yours. I took it to a shoe repair place and they did a fabulous job repairing it for a small price. Just a tip! Have a lovely weekend.

I have the insolite wallet in the damier and I absolutely LOVE it!! But I love big wallets. It's true on the side how it starts to split. Mine isn't as bad as yours but I'm sure it'll eventually get there. Does LV repair that like they do straps for bags??

Hi Tiffany! I have really really been enjoying these reviews and unboxings!! Is there anything you could do about the focusing though? There are some times in the video where the zoom wouldn't be in focus where you are showing us the details up close

I've had my old Sarah wallet for 11 years going on 12 (in the traditional monogram canvas). While the canvas has shrunk a little and I had the edges resealed at the 8 year mark, it still looks pretty good! I can't quite decide on the replacement for it. Tiffany (or anyone else) what is your experience with the vernis and how do you think it would hold up in wallet form? Thanks! Xx

I have the Noir Sarah Wallet with the straight edge flap (not envelope) ONLY because it has a dark blue interior that I love! Now that I saw your review I'm even more glad I chose it over the insolite with the blue interior. Good review! 😊

I have the white multicolor zip wallet and I love it. I have used and abused it, and despite getting dirty, it's held up great. I would definitely buy another one. Thanks for the video!

i have both and honestly i like insolite so much better and the white multi never fade!! so worth the money
I have the insolite with the pink interior from around the same time. I use it in much the same way as you might use a clutch. My phone fits in the zip pocket, and it works well for everyday errands. I keep a separate pouch for change so my insolite doesn't get too heavy.
I also sent out my Neverfull to get the straps replaced, how long ago did you send it out? When they received it did they ever notify you about receiving it or timing of getting it back? ( i was told 4-6 weeks) Just curious since you are going through repair too :-)

Even knowing all these things about the insolite from other similar reviews, I had to get it. I really like the design rather than a zip around wallet or a more traditional style like the Sarah. And once I found out about the multi being discontinued, I knew I'd regret not getting it. I hope I don't change my mind in 5 years!

I admire how passionate you are about your LV pieces, either the bags or wallets. Me personally, I can’t fathom spending that kind of money on “canvas” and not leather. LV has made quite a name for themselves and charge so much for these pieces. I’ve wanted the Speedy 35 forever, maybe since it came out but can’t bring myself to buy it because it is canvas and not 100% leather and for the prices, I can get 100% with other designers. Yes sure not LV, understand that. Just my take on it. I love and owe a different designer because the bags and items are genuine leather and they are very heavy bags. We all love what we love, right. Great Review.
Does anybody know where leather comes from? If you don't, you can look it up on UA-cam and I bet you will be surprise. I know I was amazed.
I have the insolite right now and I am in LOVE with it! I hope it lasts me 5 years or more as well haha! I have it in the monogram. Interesting that it gets floppy over time. Mine doesnt get too bulky though.

I have the same two wallets. My Insolite in white has the baby pink on the inside and I got it last year at my local Louis Vuitton. And because it's white I have always kept it in the dust bag in my purse in order to keep it clean. Lol. Call me crazy, but it works. And then last weekend In Las Vegas I got the black Sarah with the hot pink because I have the matching cosmetic bag and key ring. I love both!
I have the exact same insolite and I feel the same way. Love the look of it but it's so inconvenient. It's hard for me to pull my cards out too.
Hey Tiffany just wanted to share with you the huge savings from purchasing in Paris! Just got back from a trip where I visited the flagship store on Champs D'Elysees avenue and purchased the Sarah wallet in the vernis leather for 595 euros! Plus you get a tax refund at the airport so it's coming out to be around $575 U.S.! Awesome prices there! I kept thinking "Tiffany would go crazy in here" lol

Holy cow! That held up SO WELL! Did you or can you send it in for repair or will they not repair it bec it'c its canvas? The stitching and cracking would be my issues. Cracking is part of my reasoning for going Epi/Taiga/Empriente vs canvas.

I still consider this wallet wore fantastically over 5 years. I have Walmart/Payless wallets that don't survive 12 months so I can see the "you get what you pay for" idea.
Fossil has worked really great for me at a more "in between" price range but closer to the more affordable side.

I love my Sara wallet too. My glazing on the side cracked. Just in one spot. It wasn't peeling like they've been known to do. Just cracked in one spot of the glazing. I had used it for over a year & a half. My LV store sent it for repair for free. Free repairs is usually only for a year. I was so happy. I love Louis Vuitton service. But keep that in mind on the side where you open the wallet completely. Next to the 6 inside card slots. It may crack or even peel. Sara wallets are known for the glazing peeling. Great full review of the Insolite. I was going to buy one off the LV website today. Now I think I'll pass.
I don't even like LV, my bff does. But watching your videos I think my knowledge about LV is wayyyy more advanced (and detailed too) than my bff LOL

Snagged one of the last Black MC Insolite's in the NY area. SA said they were packing them all up on 7/31 and shipping them back to France. Glad to be able to see what the 5 year condition of it will be...however, because of this video - I will be a little more careful to not let it hang over...thanks! :-)
I have the Insolite for 4 years now and it's been in tact. I agree though that the motion to open sucks cause you're exposing your whole inside of the wallet when you're out. Makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Lol. The Damier though have been great and haven't shown any wear on the outside, as well as the inside.

pinkgurl3533 well it's tough to pronounce everything correctly when they don't speak a language fluently.... haha. I'm not focusing on trying to say the right things the right way, I just keep it real. Just like one fluent in French that didn't speak perfect English could probably not pronounce everything in English perfectly. I try! But if you're understanding what I'm referring to and I'm at least getting the names right and calling it the right thing, I'm doing ok. :) Totally wish I could speak French tho...

This looks like it was normal wear and tear that cause it to crack and rip. It's disappointing that this happened and LV should back up their products because they're very expensive. Someone once told me that they had a lifetime warranty where they would fix anything you purchased, all you had to do was pay for the shipping and handling, but when I got my LV I learned that they only have a 14 day return policy.
nancy ferreira mejia When I got my bag during christmas my dad asked about that we were told by three different stores and customer serive that you only had 14 days to return the bag, but if there was ever a manufacture issue with the piece they would fix it for free, her issue of the small area where the stiching is coming off would be considered manufacture issue since it is a design flaw, what would be considered a non manufacture issue is if for example you ever stuff you bag and it get so full it rips, that would be a consumers fault not LV, not sure if thats what they explained to you but thats what they told me and my dad. So if you ever have issues with any of your pieces thats a manufacture issue they will fix it for free, I hope that helps.
Fallon Harp - that does help, thank you. I might be wrong in thinking that even a design flaw should be covered since the design is flawed thus causing tearing, ripping, etc. I understand that some people abuse their items, but this is clearly normal wear and tear which I believe shouldn't cause any tearing or ripping.
