Tim Owens was and still is the only vocalist who could match Rob Halford, personally i think he did a great job with Priest, i have been a massive Priest fan since '77 and as awesome a vocalist as Rob Halford is, Tim 'Ripper' Owens is every bit as good if not better. Priest will always be Halford but im not going to jump on the bandwagon and slate Ripper for filling the biggest shoes in metal, and doing it well. If people want to critisise him maybe they should open their ears
Saw them twice with Ripper. His voice simply cuts through you. No lie. So powerful it kicks you in the chest. Here I am responding to a 12 year old comment that’s how good he was
I always used to be afraid That I was going to lose my way I never used to walk in line but stray I never thought I'd see it through That I could deal with losing you But suddenly I see the light of day Leading me in From out of the night Staying on course I'm still alive I had to confess I never thought I would ever survive I was lost and found I had run aground I was lost but now I'm found Focused on my altered state I would just disorientate Suffering alone amongst the crowd Drifting on a sea of doubt And no one ever heard me shout That I was lost and couldn't find my way No one at hand Having no plan Stumbled through a barren land After so long Of going wrong I found the road I was lost and found I had run aground I was lost but now I'm found I was lost and found I had hit the ground I was lost but now I found That I don't need no one To survive You've got to believe alone You'll rise Starting to run Shedding the load Now I can see I'm close to home After so long Of going wrong I found the road I was lost and found I had run aground I was lost but now I'm found
this and burn in hell are my favorite ripper/priest songs. glenn really outdid himself in the beauty and pain that he expressed in the writing of this song.
I'm realy hyped by KK's Priest, just to have a chance to get the Ripper era back in stage. I love Demolition and Jugulator, much better than Priest when Halford got back (except for Nostradamus that was great).
My favourite song from the Ripper years =] It's such a shame Halford won't bloody sing it ever. No ripper songs will ever be played live by priest these days, even though it was Glen and KK that wrote them all! Shame
what's ripper doing now?? I know it's Priest but I'm a Priest purist from RockaRolla to PainKiller. I've got Jug and Angel but I just can't get into them. As far as due goes- when Ripper has been around as long as Priest has, maybe he'll get my dues. Sorry, but that's just me.
Definetly going to say your wrong...its your opinion but the way I look at it is...with out Halford theirs no Ripper...Ripper mimics Halford...Halford is original plus he has different ranges and many different styles of vocals he uses. Plus stage presence, which Ripper has none.

Yeah, I know that You posted Your comment 14 years ago, but I agree, Tim is great vocalist, the album he recorded with KK's Priest is simply AWESOME.
15 years and the facts stand.
Agree dude...
One of the best ballads underplayed by priest live
It would have been an MTV hit in the 80's.
I always used to be afraid
That I was going to lose my way
I never used to walk in line but stray
I never thought I'd see it through
That I could deal with losing you
But suddenly I see the light of day
Leading me in
From out of the night
Staying on course I'm still alive
I had to confess I never thought I would ever survive
I was lost and found
I had run aground
I was lost but now I'm found
Focused on my altered state
I would just disorientate
Suffering alone amongst the crowd
Drifting on a sea of doubt
And no one ever heard me shout
That I was lost and couldn't find my way
No one at hand
Having no plan
Stumbled through a barren land
After so long
Of going wrong
I found the road
I was lost and found
I had run aground
I was lost but now I'm found
I was lost and found
I had hit the ground
I was lost but now I found
That I don't need no one
To survive
You've got to believe alone
You'll rise
Starting to run
Shedding the load
Now I can see I'm close to home
After so long
Of going wrong
I found the road
I was lost and found
I had run aground
I was lost but now I'm found
Beautiful song.
Ripper era is so underrated
Fuck yeah! He should deserve way more credit!
This is a master power-ballad
Beautiful lyrics I was definitely lost and found Thank you Got for bringing Ed into my life ❤❤❤❤❤
I love this and Close To You from this album
Love this song
That guy is a joke! That song is amazing and the lyrics is one of the top 10 ever written by Priest!
And Ripper's voice sounds incredible.
Kay Sal, I agree, 12 years later!!!!
13 años después estoy de acuerdo bro
Get it back on spotify
I LOVE THIS SONG SOOOOOOOO MUCH.... and TIM...
this and burn in hell are my favorite ripper/priest songs. glenn really outdid himself in the beauty and pain that he expressed in the writing of this song.
it's my favourite song ,so sad..
Good fucking song. I love all of Judas Priest's music. I think Ripper is an amazing vocalist and was the perfect replacement for Rob.
Nice song. Tim Ripper Owens is also an sentimental singer
Absolutely
Amo está canción
Amazing, reminds me of "Cemetery Gates" by Pantera and "Miss You" by WASP.
THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!

Great ballad from the Ripper era!

Can't tell if you're trolling or just being contradictory for the sake of it...
2024 here?
My favourite song from the Ripper years =] It's such a shame Halford won't bloody sing it ever. No ripper songs will ever be played live by priest these days, even though it was Glen and KK that wrote them all! Shame
It wouldn't have been better i think. Rob Halford is a awesome singer, but what makes this song so good is the vocals of Ripper.
Aguante ripper!!! y judas!!
Somzeraaaa...!!! BR curte na quarentena 2020???
I don't know how it took so long to realize how much this song sounds like "Wish You Were Here".
👍👍👌Klasse Song
Badass ☠️
Amo essa música
Me too
Why can’t I find this on Spotify?
Tim's currently singing for Iced Earth
yandfan, this is Tim... Tim "The Ripper" Owens and he was there for a couple of years in the late 90's i think
rock on
Put another video like this!
Ripper has a decent voice but Halford is the voice of Judas Priest. I like Iced Earth with Ripper his voice fit well with them.
So, this is not on Spotify
My god, Judas Priest make a slow balad with the Ripper and suddenly everyone hates them. Get over yourselves
As a hard rock, heavy metal... dude. Born in '67 and went through the music as it was. This just does not make me happy.
I miss 3 but~< but some one just had to be honestly a hard headed like there DDA
You cut the solo 😢 !!!!!
Sing as Rob
The best!! Rob Who ???
Can anyone tell me lead singer name? Thanx
Fred Witt Tim Ripper Owens
Can you tell if they are having a good time or this is what age does to you?
what's ripper doing now??
I know it's Priest but I'm a Priest purist from RockaRolla to PainKiller. I've got Jug and Angel
but I just can't get into them. As far as due goes- when Ripper has been around as long as Priest has, maybe he'll get my dues.
Sorry, but that's just me.
Oh, Who's that?
Not Rob Halford
Sorry had to hit pause, couldn't watch any longer. It's like watching "Judas Priest LITE". All the taste but half the calories!
Definetly going to say your wrong...its your opinion but the way I look at it is...with out Halford theirs no Ripper...Ripper mimics Halford...Halford is original plus he has different ranges and many different styles of vocals he uses. Plus stage presence, which Ripper has none.
