Elegy of Ta’abbata Sharran - إِنَّ بِالشّعبِ الذي دونَ سلعٍ

Context:
His mother's brother had been slain by Hudhail, leaving him to the duty of venegance. In this poem he tells how the message found him, of the might deeds and great heart of the slain man, the onslaught which led in the end to his fall, the many deeds of daring which Hudhail had to avenge on him, and the stern venegance taken by himself for his uncle's death.
