Hoosier but I've been a SC fan ever since 1991. We went a game when I went to Greer SC to train as a manager for Ryans Family Steakhouse. Home of the Megabar and where the folks are friendly))
Greer has good people! Interesting seeing as we played you guys in a bowl in 1988. You guys smoked us. I was a kid. And that was last bowl loss before we won the Carquest Bowl years later. We've always had a passionate fan base just rarely the on field product to match it.
@davidfence6939 My Dad and I went to that game. I was in the USAF and Memphis was halfway between my hometown Indy and Ft Worth where I was stationed. It was really cold and you guys weren't very motivated
South Carolina is the only team in college football to have played SEVEN ranked teams this year. They really are 5-2 because of the LSU screw job... but going 4-3. Yes Bama beat them but 2 of Bamas losses came against teams S. Carolina beat Ole Miss was beat at home by Kentucky who S. Carolina destroyed. South Carolina should be in.
The committee has to consider the LSU game . The blown calls especially on the two pick 6’s absolutely cost SC that game . Not to mention the fact Lanorris didn’t play the second half . So many blown calls in that game it’s comical . Anyone who says SC is not one of the top 12 teams in the country right now needs their head examined .
If the committee doesn't consider that LSU game, I feel we will have completely been jobbed. And it wasn't like Bama blew us out. Same Ole Miss team lost at home to a team we scored 30+ on and won in their place. Same Bama team has losses away at two team we smashed in their own stadiums.
DANNY KANNELL has ZERO credibility as a transparent SEC hater who can never ever put his bias aside. Of course, in his idiotic estimation South Carolina didn't win, Clemson just lost it. GAMECOCKS are absolutely as good as any team in the country and deserve to be in the CFP. Just look at the games and the schedule.
@@tom4139 Doesn't help what case? If anything it's more impressive if you turn it over 4 times and STILL win. Definitely not what you're hoping for however.
We should be a 1 or 2 loss team. LSU was us playing poorly disciplined, Sellers injury, and horrible officiating costing us point. Bama is Sellers fumble and having to try and win in the last minute. Ole Miss we gave up a 4 and out for a easy Kiffin TD, followed up with a fumble for another quick TD, and then end of half TD. Ole Miss scores a field goal after halftime. Blowout? Maybe on paper, but not in person to me. Just no offense to catch back up...Seller playing hurt. Rocket hurt.
If carolina isn't in the playoffs it's really stupid - Clemson is rank 12 - 12+ teams in the CFP - we beat the 12 we should be in the top 10 - so what if the SEC dominates the playoffs who cares.
Mini Jalen Milroe? What the hell? Also, Danny Kanell can go eat sand, for his backhanded compliment to SC. Doesn’t matter if they win by 3, or 30. They went into an extremely tough and hostile place to play at, and won. Clemson is a formidable team and is a recent blue blood, so beating them is a major accomplishment.
SC got hot after barely losing a couple of early games. They lost to a top fifteen LSU by 3 points, and ON THE ROAD AT #1 Bama by 2 points. They had an injured starting QB/RB going into the Ole Miss game. So YES, they had a bad game with a rusty injured starting QB and RB. But injuries to key players IS A CRITERIA for the CFP. And then South Carolina goes on an unbelievable run to end the season WINNING SIX GAMES in a row, FOUR of those wins against RANKED TEAMS, and they were an unheard of 4-1 on the road. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they DID NOT lose to an UNRANKED TEAM ALL SEASON, and that is the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOUTH CAROLINA, BAMA AND OLE MISS. IT'S NOT HEAD TO HEAD. IT'S HOW YOU FINISH!!! The end of the season is much more important than the beginning of the season. It's not how you start, it's how you FINISH!!! That has been the MANTRA OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR DECADES!!!! What South Carolina has done this season, NO OTHER TEAM has done. Notre Shame LOST to Northern Illinois. SMU LOST to UNRANKED BYU. Oregon played against TWO RANKED TEAMS all season long. SC has played SEVEN RANKED TEAMS. Bama LOST BY 21 POINTS to UNRANKED Oklahoma, who South Carolina DEMOLISHED 35-9!!! Bama also lost to Vandy, who SOUTH CAROLINE also DEMOLISHED 35-7. Ole Miss lost AT HOME to UNRANKED Kentucky, who SOUTH CAROLINA DEMOLISHED 31-6!!! Ole Miss also LOST to UNRANKED Florida!!! South Carolina HAS NOT LOST TO AN UNRANKED TEAM ALL SEASON.
South Carolina lost to ranked team, Ole miss and Bama have lost to non ranked teams and Bama got absolutely embarrassed by Oklahoma. If the committee stick to going with just the best teams in football. Carolina is 11 and Bama is 12. In a neutral field game Carolina would win rn. Carolina has a young team that took a few games to get better, and all they have done is get better since the Bama loss (IN Alabama by 2 points).
Depends on how the committee looks at the LSU game. For all intents and purposes South Carolina is 10-2, the refs totally changed the outcome of that game. In the playoffs or out I couldn’t be prouder of this Gamecock team and Sellers is only a Redshirt Freshman.
SC lost to a higher (Top 10 on the road at Bama) ranked Bama (by 2 pts), and a higher ranked LSU (by 3 pts with a backup QB and questionable calls AND defensive stops and points taken away), and a higher ranked Ole Miss (by 24-clear L). But look at who (unranked) and when Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss lost to on more than one occasion, spread across the season, not isolated (for anyone to say the losses were just a fluke and they rebounded, they didn’t) SC is the better team.
Will be a shame if Alabama's "Brand" gets them into the playoff over SC. Even with the head to head loss, the eye test isn't even close. SC is the better team, and legitimately had the LSU game stolen from them....really should be 10-2, and they probably beat Bama if Sellers didn't get hurt. Hottest team in football, 6 in a row, huge wins against Oklahoma, Mizz, Vandy, A&M, Clemson.... no unranked losses.
SC won but I think to have moved ahead of Bama and Ole Miss, they would have earned more points if they destroyed Clemson. They left a lot of points on the field because of turnovers. Could have helped their stock had they played better. On the other hand, Clemson had 3 big catches that 9 times out of 10 those catches woukd not have been made.

@@GodLovesComics Ah yes… that’s why since the BCS started in 1996, the SEC only plays .95 P6/5/4 games per team per season while playing an extra non-conference game.
