THIS. This is the one true answer to this very common problem. Not sure why this isn't the top video when searching for repairing a shower pan crack. All of us are out here wasting time and money with JB Weld and 3M 5200 and marine sealant and epoxy kits, none of which work because they weren't made for this application. I know because I tried Devcon epoxy the first time and now I have to travel 8 hours round-trip to a property to repair the same spot again. This time I'll use the acetone method. THANK YOU.
I have a Crack in the floor of my shower pan, idk if this will work but I'm definitely going to try it. This is the easiest way I've found to fix so thank you for the video. I just subscribed
Hi, thanks for this explanation. Confirming my pan was ABS also… tried your technique under the pan (took me a while to remove… it is a combo toilet and shower pan). Will do the repair on the top side also. Scraping the upward lip of the pan to get the material. Thanks again
i almost ripped my shower pan out today due to a couple hair line cracks but luckily i stopped and checked and found out there is not a replacement pan online for sale so I wasn't sure what to do. Now i have some hope that i can fix it tomorrow using this method.....thanks!!
I just wanted to let you know the repair turned out awesome and everything held up perfect on my trip Of 8 days and 2,400 miles with 4 people and many showers. I decided not to make a video on it due to lack of interest. But everything worked out wonderful.
It's holding up better than new, no problems whatsoever. I've takin several trips with many showers and multiple different weight people. Absolutely no problems.
@@albertherteliu963 Honestly it would be easier if you just Google what is ABS plastic because trying to explain what it is is much better than me trying to explain it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Sorry it took so long to get back with you. The shower pan repair has held up to many many showers and multiple trips perfectly. I did not make a follow up video due to lack of interest.

My slurry isn't turning into pudding. More like paper mache or bubble gum. Hmmm.
Great video!! Thank you
Wow, I’m gonna try this now, my pan cracked around the drain of course, I’ll let you know how it turn out
How did your fix work out?
We just found a crack In the ABS pan around our shower drain.
After watching you drill the holes I thought heck with scraping I'll just get some abs and drill a bunch of holes and use the scrap from the holes
That scraping sound is demonic. Thank you for the video.
Oatey makes an ABS cement, you think that would work? I dont have any spare parts to get abs material from
Is it still ok ?
Do how did it hold up? Still doing a follow up?
It's holding up perfectly after several trips and many many showers the video wasn't as popular as I hoped so I did not do an update video.
Nice fix on the crack but why didn’t you inject spray foam through holes to keep the pan from flexing and cracking again?
I had to get underneath my shower pan to add support. It would flex when i stepped on it especially near the drain. New trailers are built too cheap.
7 months later is it still holding up. We need a update please

That’s fantastic thanks for showing the video. What is ABS material? Thanks Albert
