When you buy higher end jewelry from famous makers like these or Cartier etc…. You buy them for the security that you will never lose any of your investment on these pieces!

the mother of pearl is not as durable. It can't get wet, so is hard to clean. Lotions and serums on the neck and décolleté can mess up mop permanently
There is no variation because VCA has an extremely high criteria for their stones - it's a great thing!! Quality matters. Take the guilloche 5 motif and make a necklace with your onyx.

the onyx is too widely copied by fake sellers every where for me to ever buy one.. and unfortunately it's easy to copy / black plastic looks almost exactly the same.
Yikes. For me the guilloche motif is the only one that is worth it. Maybe the malachite, but it's thin too and gets damaged so easily.
None of those rocks are worth $4000+.
Agree on the onyx as a material. The solid gold VCA guilloché motifs, though, are worth it to me.
