Dear InfernoPlus, It's been more than year since you came out with this video. At the time of its release, the Aquamarine Dagger was an outright joke, costing as much stamina to use as a greatsword but only dealing half the damage if not less. This video was a product of its time and it's completely understandable. However, that time is over. I encourage you and anyone else who passes by the comment section to check out what the Aquamarine Dagger has become after all this time. It's evolved from mediocre garbage to mid-tier trash. It's a lot better now, but it still REALLY lacks a decent true combo. Some of the attacks have deceptive amounts of range and forward progress which can allow you to catch people who haven't fought it enough off guard, and it does do decent damage on a dedicated build. Against people who have run into it a few times you will almost never catch them with one of the follow up stabs with range. Also, all of the good rangy attacks are pretty telegraphed and are about as easy to parry as 1h great weapon attacks, so they are literal suicide against a good player who can parry. Still fun to destroy less experienced players with, though.

This is a dagger, and by that simple metric is already the best weapon class in the game because its stupidly fast. The flashy flash sword magic is only for roll catching and mix ups. Otherwise, (as disappointing it may be) just use it like any other dagger. 2 Hand and poke them inbetween their hyper armor. Throw any weapon you fancy on off slot and you've got a too fast too clippy too good combo.

I think it's time I've move on from Inferno's stuff, lmao. Shit stops being enjoyable when every single bit of content is laced with salt and complaints with little substance other than "hey look at ____ isn't it so bad? lol fuck this game" I'll come back to watch when you go back to DS2 or something you actually enjoy. Until then; lower your salt levels.
It's actually really good, but requires you to learn the weapon inside out and how to predict your opponent really well. It's a lot of effort to learn, but once you do, it's among, if not just the best weapon in the game. They also fixed the stamina thing.
Seems From is still struggling with this whole concept known as 'balance'. We get a pair of U. Greatswords we can fling around like they're made out of toothpicks, but heaven forbid we get any magic-related items and they're usually completely trash. At this point I think one of the developers was fondled by a fat guy in a Mage costume and this is their way of getting back. Looks like my good ol' Blue Flame Magic Knight build from DkS2 might be getting a visit soon.
@@achair7958 It's so difficult trying to make people who hail DS2 as a godsend realize the game has flaws, just like DS3's phantom range and (at least early on) bleed/frostbite buildup, or DS1's many, many issues As it too suffered the same backsteb fishing as DS1, or had an awful PvP system outside of the covenant system because soul memory, which in turn fucked up co-op stuff as well. I don't even want to get into hexes as it leaves a sour taste in my mouth akin to dark bead, etc. from DS1. At the end of the day I really wish people wouldn't pick favorites cause thats how we get 4 hour long "DS3/DS2 is bad/good" videos which I cannot understand how anyone with half a braincell can watch all the way through. It's pointless. Each game has its strengths, each game has its weaknesses.
Hey Interno have you done the harp- I mean murky hand scythe? It has a pretty unique moveset! I can't belive lord miyazaki would give use such a unique hex weapon for the final dlc, which is ABOUT THE FUCKING ABYSS.
Im using it on my almost pure pyromancer righthand as a punisher for rolling into me. The int scaling lets me do more dmg than with every other daggers and the L2 swing/poke is a surprisingly good mixup between pyromancies and often results in rollcatches. Sure its not nearly as opop as the rest of the dlcs weapons but it works for me. The stamina is a problem, but ill just have to managae my stamina better then. Good vid! :)
This was odd to see, thought I'd see this weapon be praised since most of the PVP channels have no problem with this weapon. I like to use an active -30% build with this weapon. So far I've managed to win most of my 50 2V2's and 1V1's while getting MVP most of the time.
OK people, here's the thing. No one's saying it's impossible to win with this thing. If you watched the video, you would see that he actually got several kills. JUST BECAUSE IT'S POSSIBLE TO WIN DOES NOT MEAN IT ISN'T UNDERPOWERED. The problem is that there's just no reason to use it over any of the meta weapons, like straight swords, greatswords or those fucking dual greatswords. Any of these other weapons deal more damage, are more stamina efficient, more range and require less skill to use. No matter how you look at it, it's unbalanced.
As always Inferno, your first and only mistake is not just mashing R1 (or L1 in the Paired Greatswords' case, though this exception goes out the window with R2s and WAs the moment you find someone who isn't a scrub.)
Well we found where the paired greatsword's stamina consumption went! But seriously once you learn the counter to those they aren't much of a problem. It's called Stomp. Also daggers are a greathammer's fucking worst nightmare.

He can't, and that's why he won't
Needs them views from them Metamancers
Ryan Watkins Just because you can win with it doesnt make it good. You could kill people with the ladle in two if you were extremely passive... doesnt make it any less trash
2:55 I was fully expecting the guy to Point Down.
So i know that this topic about the Aquamarine Dagger from ds3 is kinda old by now, but there is still people that thinks this dagger is garbage, i made a video to show why i love this weapon with no words
ua-cam.com/video/PJS8wXFZ7UA/v-deo.html
Edit: Have a good day!
Look a dark souls player calling a weapon they cant use to one shot someone trash, how original... Learn to play the game dude...
If we can't convince you that a dagger should have a lower stamina requirement than a fucking greatsword, then idk what to tell you dude.
@@Raptorman0205 Honestly, plus there are a lot of good weapons that don't one shot that inferno uses so this guy must have saw this video and instantly thought "Oh my gosh! SO toxic" instead actually thinking for 2 secs
myazaki: what's that? soul stream deals 87 damage? NERF
myazaki: what's that? people complain about not having father's mask and giants set? k
keep em waiting idfc
We get it you don't like ds3 go find something better to do kiddo
Dark souls 3 is shit with sprinkles on it.
Calling people "kiddo" on the internet, edgiest thing to do since calling people "edgy" on the internet.
Hispanic Cuckslayer and Sjw flayer Jesus Christ your username is the cringiest thing I've seen in a while. If anyone should kill themselves it you
b8?
bronze189 pls ur making me blush ~v~
I like it. The range is amazing and the running attacks are godlike. I win 9/10 unless someone uses the paired greatswords..
"The weapon sucks." Goes on to facetank RKUGS and the Onislayer. Gee, wonder why you say that. The weapon is great.
Aquamarine Dagger has many counters but that does not make it a bad weapon.
I think it's time I've move on from Inferno's stuff, lmao. Shit stops being enjoyable when every single bit of content is laced with salt and complaints with little substance other than "hey look at ____ isn't it so bad? lol fuck this game"
I'll come back to watch when you go back to DS2 or something you actually enjoy. Until then; lower your salt levels.
2:50 I love how the guy walks up like
"Dude! Are you okay!?"
That guy at the end probably broke his controller for dying like that. RIP in pepperoni.
Gotta love that Nidhogg phase 2 theme
was really nice of you to put me in the intro of this video infernerd
Came here expecting Dark Souls... Got Revenge of the Horde... What?
Subbed now.
Jump back-> Attack etc... then WA for range.
Otherwise parry. That's the individual strategy for this weapon. I like it.
That's dealt as magic but as it can be sorcery damage it consumes stamina as spells
Remember when Sorcery was good?
Pepperridge farms remembers.
I don't think the aquamarine dagger is that bad but it's just one hard ass weapon to master.
As soon as i heard the donkey kong country soundtrack, I subscribed. And came
Pepperidge farm remembers Ivory King Ultra Greatsword...
That's some damn good Donkey Kong music.
It's actually really good, but requires you to learn the weapon inside out and how to predict your opponent really well. It's a lot of effort to learn, but once you do, it's among, if not just the best weapon in the game.
They also fixed the stamina thing.
Came here for the trashtalk. Stuck around for the music.
This is the true meaning of chipping damage
Aquamarine dagger is amazing. I slaughtered demon prince with it
Holy fuck, is that Donkey Kong Country I hear? Instant sub for you good sir!
The pitch shift in the music fucking killed me 😂😂😂
Friendly 2019 reminder that DS2 was much more balanced than DS3
>ds2 was much more balanced
>soul memory
@@zimzamy5212 That's not an attribute of balance genius, that's just a bad mechanic
Fuck off
Saw someone with a +10 greatsword invading in a lower tier because agape ring the other day
You’re fuckin wrong bro
@@OfLanceTheLonginus That's an issue with how the game handles matchmaking, it has nothing to do with how weapons are balanced
@@achair7958 It's so difficult trying to make people who hail DS2 as a godsend realize the game has flaws, just like DS3's phantom range and (at least early on) bleed/frostbite buildup, or DS1's many, many issues
As it too suffered the same backsteb fishing as DS1, or had an awful PvP system outside of the covenant system because soul memory, which in turn fucked up co-op stuff as well.
When I saw Morton on the thumbnail.
"This gonna be gud"
It's a cool concept. Maybe From will make it better in the future.
Idk why hating on that dagger. Its deals pretty huge amount of damage with Carthus Beacon + WA.
I don't have any issues with this dagger it's my favorite dlc weapon
Those fish freaking killed my sides.
Hey Interno have you done the harp- I mean murky hand scythe? It has a pretty unique moveset! I can't belive lord miyazaki would give use such a unique hex weapon for the final dlc, which is ABOUT THE FUCKING ABYSS.
lol dude I just found your vids but I think I played against you once.
I was super salty, but you got skills son.
Respect
0:52 A Guts build I see, very nice.
Soul stream really is the best spell in ds3. Praise the sun \o/
So far I've managed to win most of my 50 2V2's and 1V1's while getting MVP most of the time.
you can't fight the meta
you just have to embrace it
let the meta begin
Fear not the meta, my friend... and let the salt begin.
Soul Stream is the new Force
That Nidhogg battle theme...
That was the only time i have ever seen soul stream kill in pvp
Its where all our roll stamina went
I dig the donkey kong country music man
Well we found where the paired greatsword's stamina consumption went! But seriously once you learn the counter to those they aren't much of a problem. It's called Stomp. Also daggers are a greathammer's fucking worst nightmare.
_"Love this weapon personally."_
