One summer while I was on a trip and lacking internet, I got really good at Minesweeper. I was stunned to for the first time ever see someone else comparably good at that completely useless skill. 🥹
Honestly, knowing her history as a teacher in Japan, I get the feeling she felt at least a little catharsis from freely telling "students" how shit they are. IIRC, there were certain students from influential families who'd request being tutored by her, just for the novelty of being taught by an American; underpaid and underappreciated.
My sister was in that boat. She was in Japan teaching English to people and it was fun for her but it’s rough dealing with students depending on the class.
I like the idea that the families wanted her to tutor their kids because they want n American. Then she turns to her boss and asks, “ should we tell them I’m Canadian?”
I, 100% no joke, took those classroom vids with GirlDM completely at face value. I avoided clips of her to avoid being (jokingly) insulted only to find out that I fooled myself 😅 did get me to play minesweeper though
@@riokolliviershe became a regular at a bar that was, unbeknownst to her, a yakuza bar, and being a teacher she was really nice to the kids, which caused her to befriend the yakuza running the bar. Look it up, I cannot do it justice.
This is honestly one of the reasons why I love Girl_Dm. She's funny and happy and then can just flip and be an absolute savage and burn you into a crispy pile of nothing.
Dunno if it's a Canadian thing or a cat thing, but i LOVE GirlDM's sarcastic wit. It warms my cold Bri'ish heart. And it needs warming, its always cold as balls over here :I
funny you said that because (I forget who) a wrestler said to a trainee: "You want to be a good heel? Be a GREAT face first!" I think it's safe to assume TV2 Girl_DM was the inevitable heel turn. 🤣
It's been said that when GirlGM was giving that speech, thunder and lightning struck outside the building, and the world heard something about someone which should committing seppuku at this very moment
It's so weird. I don't follow GirlDM almost at all, I just consume a random clip here and there, and in most of them she has this passive aggressive attitude, or she would be mean for a joke, or she would explain something with this kind of condescending demeanor. I'm very much aware I had no context for those situations, but that's not the point I'm trying to make, I'm just here wondering how come I had such a wrong idea about her personality and brand. I really felt like she was this sassy catgirl putting people in their place, for fun iwth no ill intent for sure, but still, very different from what is suggested here (which I presume is a much more complete picture). Maybe it's just those are funniest moments and they get the most views...? Idk, but it goes to show how little control you have over how you're portrayed to the wider public. Even within a niche like vtubing, unless the people are directly following your content, there's almost nothing you can do to explain yourself to those that don't and can only ever rely on third parties presenting yourself for you, at their discretion.
When she cleared that Minesweeper field and _obliterated_ everyone's self-esteem.
She’s not just sweepin mines, she swept their confidence out of existence
Okay, I'm gonna be real. She is the reason I play Minesweeper at least once a day

TV2 GirlDM was such a wild change of pace and I loved it. She did so well.

There is a reason she is the most interesting cat in the world. Her yakuza story is one example

“Todays class is on why you remain maidenless”
I honestly didn't even think it was out of character for her. I thought she was just a nice person who knew how to talk trash.
She was probably the scariest thing in TV2.
I argue it was Krimbos head exploding
@@megameme29 It was more disturbing and shocking than scary.

Us Canadians really have a dry sarcastic sense of humour. It's honestly a stereotype that doesn't get noticed as often.
@@cjvs1604 oh, the British basically invented sarcasm! thats why I appreciate it so much, especially because a lot of Americans dont get it at ALL
I had a weird sense of joy watching that minesweeper game and seeing those buildings explode, she absolutely NAILED that act
I will never forget the “The gang encounters a skill issue” clip 😂😂
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Froggy blew up Heavenly’s house.
She let go of her limiters and let loose. She spit roasted them.
The dark side of GirlDM. It doesn't come out often, but when it does... Oh lord the cat can get unhinged.
We all love a good heel. And apparently Girl_DM is a master of the art

Her being psycho was pretty amazing. If I'd been there, I'd be competing with Heavenly.

I mean I was already scared (and impressed) by her before TV2, but MAN did that ever solidify it
I too would ask everyone if it'd be ok to be mean to them before being mean to them.
Gremlin non seiso dm is terrifying. And we love to see it
TFW Nice Dom gets asked to fill in for a Mean Dom, and needs reassurance that it's what the subs want.
Never forget, GirlDM has a gamer mom.
Taka: Are you tired of being nice?
Dont you just want to go apeshite?!
Froggy has the cutest mini avatars ever.
Really love how her ears have natural twitching like an actual cat. It's so adorable
Well damn. All she was missing were the whited out eyes and the background lightning.
That was my first introduction to Girl_DM so I just assumed that was her character normally
It's nice to see the bar open again, I've missed this
Heavenly was literally on heaven when she showed up
Girl dm talks like my teacher of highschool.
I'm sure she remembers her time hanging out in a yakuza bar and hearing things from them
all she had to do was imagine everyone in that room was her chat.
Ngl, that part of TV2 is what got me to start watching GirlDM
Awesome Video Taka👍🏻💙
Heavenly was into it
That sounds like something I would casually say with my friends as a joke setup. I respect their hustle. xD
Honestly brutal honest girl dm was easily the most frightening thing.
I can understand, it's the Canadian in her. I would have needed the same
Girl_DM just hit them with that LTG lite.
I didn't know she knew how to do that
Is she guilty about blowing up a hospital?
where be the full vod of this tv2? would love to see the full thing
Bit late, but:
All four full VODs for Academy Academy (the TV2 season that this pertains to) are on this very channel.
@@RvEijndhoven ah ty, guessi looked passed it somewhere in the list
Is there a complete video of the entire class?(I'm new and can't find it)
Look for Takahata Academy Academy season 2
