Nico Paz is a GENERATIONAL PLAYER. Recently appearing on the bench for Real Madrid's senior team, he has a very very bright future in front of him.
There is a large number of Madridistas that seem to be of the opinion that 18 year-old midfielder Nico Paz needs to be promoted to the 1st team IMMEDIATELY. Following the U20 Sudamericano where he quite simply attempted to put his underperforming Argentinian U-20 side on his back, he has been able to continue his scorching hot form becoming a crucial contributor to a Castilla side chasing promotion; all, well steadily earning a reputation as the jewel of La Fabrica. After all, there’s a lot to like about a 6’1 silky-smooth left-footed playmaker. However, there’s one major problem: Despite Real Madrid having one of the most famed academies in football, they have not successfully promoted and integrated an academy talent into their 1st team in 8 seasons. But right now, after rising to brilliance in these past seasons and showing astronomical development day after day, he, out of all the Madrid players in La Fabrica, seems to be the most likely to finally break the curse. So this now leaves us with the real question: Will Nico Paz finally break the streak of underwhelming Fabrica graduates? Or will he succumb to the same fate as others before him, either falling into obscurity or being sold like the rest? Play clips hyping up Nico Paz
Considering the funds and the squad that Real Madrid have at their disposal, it’s hard to imagine that this Argentinian will finally be the one that forces his way into the first team. But at the end of the day, what do people say? Talent is undeniable. With his father, Pablo, being a former center-back for La Albiceleste, you could say football runs through the family. As a 9 year old, his father would take up a job as a youth coach for Tenerife bringing Nico along with him. And for the other other coaches at Tenerife, it was realized on day one that this boy wasn’t just a “coach's son”. After seeing him play twice, youth coach Luiz Rodriguez swore to his friends that “I was coaching a future Ballon d’or winner”. Of course, Tenerife was never going to hold on to this prodigy for long. Madrid came calling, and everyone knows that the only answer any family is giving to that phone call is “yes”. In the summer of 2016, he arrived in La Fabrica as a lengthy 11 year-old centre-half. You see, as a boy he always strived to emulate his father, but Madrid, they quickly came to the conclusion that his on-the-ball ability was far more suited to be playing further up the pitch. Soon enough, he switched to striker and then switched to playing out wide and playing centrally, where he resides today. Fast-forward to 2021 and Paz would have become the superstar for Madrid’s Juvenil C side, before Juvenil A coach, Jorge Romero would call him up for the final few matchdays, giving the young protegée a couple of appearances for the U19 side as a 16 year-old. in the following season Madrid would make the decision to move him to the Juvenil B side rather than the Juvenil A, but, he wouldn’t be there for long. 9 games into the season, Paz would have already netted 7 goals from the midfield, and would be sent straight back to the Juvenil A team, now as a starter. Raul would also call him up to Castilla on various occasions, and Scaloni would even call him to train with the Argentinian National Team.
Now this season, he would continue to play primarily with Juvenil A but would quickly show that he was simply too good for the U19 level. Opposition just stood no chance against him, and in the UEFA Youth League, it was just… domination. 5 goals in 5 matches, including the greatest youth league performance ever in a 3-2 win versus Leipzig. A game in which he would not just score 2, but create 2 big chances, complete 14/14 dribbles, win 21 duels, and get onto 7 tackles to finish out a legendary performance. What’s even crazier is that the 14 dribbles weren’t just a one off thing… he averaged 11 successful dribbles, per 90 minutes. For reference,
Messi managed only 6 per game during his immortal 10/11 campaign, and Paz also averaged 6 tackles to go along with it. It was a breathtaking campaign that would earn him a starting spot for Castilla, but also a spot on Argentina’s provisional 48-man World Cup squad, despite not even making his debut for Madrid, and also a lock for the U20 Sudamericano at 18. Now heading into the January competition, he didn’t have expectations. Sure, he had a p henomenal youth league campaign, but he would be alongside players such as Maximo Perrone, Matias Soule, and Luka Romero. Teens that would soon be playing first team football at top European clubs. They were the players that were expected to lead this youth side to glory, but instead by the end of the group stage, Argentina were 2nd to last, out of the tournament, and only having a single win to

There are 4-5 players in Castilla that will definitely be in La Liga and maybe Real at some point.
Unfortunately for Arribas he’s just a player that doesn’t fit in the first team but could very much be useful as a sub.

Manuel angel is a freaking genius, alongside with cesar palacios, and andres chema will be the next N'6 of spain and hopefully of madrid too he is tall and strong and baller. Not forgetting the N'9 Gonzalo garcia and Pol fortuny.
Arbeloa did a massive work with these young boys, he really successed to managed them in impressive way, he give all of them the chance to play and grow. And I think as a madridistas we gonna pray for him in the near future for all his hard work with these Gems

Guler also plays like Odegaard. This means that Madrid do not rate Paz highly, they wouldn't have bought an 18 year old Guler if they did.

If Castilla makes it to 2nd league, Nico Paz will just be fine playing there next year. Then it is likely that Kroos and Modric retire or leave, what will be a good opportunity to promote the young guy to first team. Madrid already counts on Rodriguez comong season and hopefully also counts on Paz and Tobias.
Nico is a great talent but i do have a question. could someone at 6’0 dribble like messi and neymar (they’re around 5’7-5’9). i know that there is kvara (6’0) and his dribbling skills are excpetional but would it be possible?
Certainly not like Messi, but midfielders dribble in a different way then attackers. They are not directly attacking players but instead dodging tackles and dribbling around multiple players. They rely more on technicals rather than physicals. Think Pogba.

he is more Guti than Di Maria.... he seems to have above average vision and is brilliant in decision making.... unfortunately he is not a great athlete, he needs to watch tape of Guti and change position in lieu of Modrics and Kroos retirement , thats the only way he has a career at madrid, he would struggle as a winger in the next level... and Brahim and Guler are both superior dribblers at the RW positions.

Yes. Although he would still be better as a 10/8, he can deffo play RW like James or Di Maria. He'll be mainly a playmaker tho, which would be a contrast from Rodrygo or Vini. That also could be nice tho as the best version of Madrid in recent memory had 2 pacy and goalscoring wingers (Ronaldo and Bale), but also had Isco as a more creative winger.
