@Thekeyman1...it would appear that Chilli is the child the father hasn't really had much to do with. Both her and Hassan are "outside " kids though Hassan spent time with his siblings when young. I wonder if it's that he isn't sure Chilli's his child cos apparently her mum used to hang around a group of older men when young and was promiscuous. She told him that she was pregnant but he bailed since he was married at the time and she was underage (pregnant at 16 had Chilli at 17). It's easy for any of us to judge but we don't really know the back story or his version of events. I felt hurt for Chilli and her brother because my dad use to make promises to us and then break them and i would feel a lump in my throat and cry myself to sleep

I never had that sine my father has been died since I was 2 yrs old and I know he can’t be there for me! The father knocked up Chilli's Mum when she was very young (she had Chilli at 16/17). Once he knew she was pregnant he took off and Chilli never found him until she was around 25. He's a deadbeat dad to his kids
It's sad that their dad didn't show up. The way she feels is how my kids felt about their dad. He'd promise he was coming and did show up or bother to call. The last time he said he was coming they were like whatever. He didn't show up that weekend or call to explain and a couple of days later he was killed in an accident. I used to be so mad with him because my dad was there everyday for and I never expected my ex husband to be like that.
