It was great meeting and riding with you guys. Hated to have to cut my comp short but needed to get over to prep for judging the elites. I will be back next year.

It’s never too early to start. There are events nearly every month this summer. Pacific Northwest next week I think just over in Canada. West Virginia in July? Manchester Iowa in august.
Yeah, do it! My first comp was only a few months after starting to learn trials and only 3 weeks after I got a trials bike. My riding was awful, but I had a great time and met a bunch of really cool people.

My pleasure! Even if you're not super into the competition aspect of the sport, I think it's a great way to mix things up a bit since it forces riders to meet specific challenges and ride in a little bit different way. And of course with events like this, my favorite part is hanging out with all the different trials riders!

So glad to see the trials community sticking around to clean up and be in good spirits. We were over in Rogers and were planning to make bikefest sunday. We took a pretty direct hit from the tornado in a camper and had to leave town Sunday. I was really hoping to get in on a group ride with everyone. I guess there is always next year! Stay safe out there!

Thanks for your kind words; it really means a lot to hear them! While I'll never be an elite rider (I started a few decades too late for that), I've always hoped that these videos would inspire people to realize that they can do hard things (trials biking or anything else) and that it's never too late to start.

Welcome to trials! Glad the video was informative. We rode "sport" class, so beginner sections would be a little easier than what's shown in this video. You can even use a MTB on beginner sections if you don't have a trials bike. Also, if you haven't already, check out the @superridertv channel here on UA-cam for some great tutorials.
Search “Jeff Lenosky bentonville trials 2023” on UA-cam too. It comprehensively follows him through all 5 sport lines in the five sections. He is far from new to trials though, so don’t expect his same results right away . :-)

No, we're in CT. There were some riders there from CO, however (the Farrars, for example).

Thanks Tim. Looks like some good happened with comradery being the main attraction. Glad you and the crew were able to make it into the comp and have a good time despite the storm muckin it up.
My favorite part of the comps is hanging out with the other riders. Such a great group of people! It's definitely a great privilege to be part of the Bentonville Bike Fest each year.
