- On September 4, 2024, a high-speed chase unfolded on Interstate 540 as Trooper Michael Bowman pursued a white Ford 500 driven by Alicia Gonzalez. Despite her calm and compliant demeanor, Gonzalez refused to pull over when Trooper Bowman initiated a traffic stop for speeding. Instead, she led officers on a dangerous pursuit, driving recklessly at speeds of up to 100 MPH.
Gonzalez's erratic driving included crossing into oncoming traffic, running stop signs, and weaving through city streets. Throughout the pursuit, Trooper Bowman maintained a safe distance, following pursuit protocols to minimize risks to other road users. The chase took a dramatic turn when Gonzalez lost control of her vehicle, allowing Trooper Bowman to bring the pursuit to a safe conclusion.
Upon arrest, it was discovered that Gonzalez had no valid driver's license or proof of insurance. She was charged with Felony Fleeing, Speeding, and multiple traffic violations. This case showcases the challenges and unpredictability of high-speed pursuits and the expertise required by law enforcement officers to handle such situations.

maybe arkansas needs t-shirts that say "don't turn tickets into felonies"
Roadside billboards would be more effective
A chase like this confirms what behavioral scientists tell us: The human brain is not fully developed until the age of 28. Alicia is 18, and seems largely out of touch with reality.
Both the troopers and the deputies seemed genuinely confused about her irrational behavior. As one trooper said, all you had to do was pull over, and you would have gotten a few tickets. Now you've got felony charges.
Everyone I know knew better than to do something like this at age 18. Her problem isn't that she isn't "developed", it's that she's an idiot.
At least she immediately put her tummy to the ground after getting out of the car to show she surrendered
You are your parents proud
I like the Ford 500.
@@Johnny53kgb-nsa are you sure 👍
Ford used to get annoyed with journalists that called it the "500", they would correct them say that it's "Five Hundred". 😆😆
@@warren_r😂😅😂😊😂😊
Micheal you driving in that hail storm ????
Messed that car up some eh !!!
I gots me a hankerin for a muffin top.
Play stupid games ....get stupid consequences 😂😂😂😂😂😂
totally bangable tho.....
18 and life to go lol Amazing she didn't roll her car when she went flying off that exit ramp. That could have been all she wrote.
I think the drivers side air bag is still attached.
Come on man. Is that the only thing you see in the video 😊😂😅😊😂😊😂
Maybe we should get a box of donuts while we are standing around......
sherrif in black car should not take over as primary
You mean truck
Why not? He didn't "take over as primary", he "became primary" when the Trooper lost her when she went off the road. If it hadn't been a hunk of junk vehicle, I'm sure the Trooper would have eventually taken the lead again, but who cares, because they got the criminal off the road, nobody was hurt and no police vehicles were damaged.
@@scottmichaels12 the trooper was primary and should have been given opportunity to do a TVI
@@margarita8442 ASP are not the only law enforcement agency in Arkansas that can perform TVI. If you've ever watched OP Live, Chief Brad Taylor (who's son is also ASP) of the Hazen PD had ended multiple pursuits with a TVI while they have been following their department. The Sheriff's Deputy may or may not have that authority as well.
@@robertwarren7428 have u done a TVI ?
At 4:05 I'm surprised those cops didn't go airborne hitting that hill at 100mph. Many years ago i went over it around 50 and felt my ass trying to come up out of the seat
🤣😀
@wbforsure2104 topping out the suspension on a hill isn't too difficult depending on the vehicle. Actually getting airborne is a different story. There used to be a hill in my area that would top a sporty car out but a grandma car would launch at 45.
