I know the gauges for the lines. The main line from Benny Halt to East Wheal Rose is 15 inches, the Newlyn Downs Branch Line is 10 1/4 inches and the miniature railway is 7 1/4 inches.
Weirdly, I don’t remember the place at Crowlas. I think it must have missed my mum and dad’s radar when I was a kid. I’ve heard lots about it though. It was always Merlin’s Magic Land for me! 👍🏻
Hi Andrew, another good vlog. Thank you for sharing. There was another train ride that takes you to a park at the end of the line the last time we visited a while ago. Has it closed? Looking forward to the next one! Alan
I can remember coming here with my family when the girls were tiny! They are both over 40 now! The place has tidied itself up a lot since those days, it was quite rough and ready then. Shame they put “who’s” on the commemorative plaque for those lost in the mine instead of “whose”, but I’m still a nerdy teacher at heart.😂😂😂

Loved this place in the 70s as a kid. Remember the Age of Steam at Crowlas? 😄

Not sure. There were a few attractions closed due to the time of year.
