Opatija Mountaineering Bypass | Učka Nature Park

The Opatija Mountaineering Bypass is a circular mountaineering route, which begins and ends in Opatija. It mostly passes through the area of ​​the Učka Nature Park, has fifteen checkpoints and includes ten peaks in the Učka and Ćićarija massifs. OPO was founded with the aim of promoting lesser known peaks in the Opatija hinterland. In addition to the peaks, the OPO also includes the "Poklon" mountain lodge, the "Brdo" hunting lodge, the attractive Rečina waterfall and the settlements of Opatija and Poljana. The route is marked with standard mountaineering markings. Metal stamps have been placed at all checkpoints, which certify the tour of the checkpoint in the Guide and the OPO diary. The OPO is 45 km long, includes a 15:30 hour walk, and can be passed in two days of walking.
