Same here. He does not get stuck in that corner for me. By the time I’ve cast Gore Eye Daoist he’s moved along the ridge and is out of range and then keeps spamming that shitty move where he leaves a gold exploding image of himself until my Pluck of Many are all gone. 😩

This method doesn’t work not even in NG+ when I have him completely cornered he’ll just dash right out of it even tho I’m hitting him with Brute Force with Pluck of Many.
Immortal Blessing Gourd + Loong Balm + Tiger Relic in drink can increase damage and criti hit chance in about 15s. So that make sure you hit the boss during this 15s.
@bigmattpark First phase yes, 2nd phase he switches it up. Tyr angle to get him blocked is pretty tight and one time he didn't throw his staff either. The second phase is a pain.
If you collect Seeds, after unlock the Zodiac Village, NPC will take seeds and plant them for you. Periodically you can return to get them. With all materials, you make those medicines by yourself.
Hey bro, while your guide seems extremely good and useful, I was wondering how to go about the Fan angle, in my case the monkey seems to come out of that corner everytime and my pluck of many becomes useless
Once you lock the boss, Fan angle is decided by your position ( Collinearity of Three Points). Or you can stand at that inner comer, then use Cloud Step to leave a fake decopy. When Boss is busying to attack the Fake, Use the Fan.
Just finished NG3 with very similar setup, you can still crowd him at that spot at beginning of the phase 2, i havent played it with pluck of many , used life saving strand, but was able to do decent damage there, def helped, took me 30 + tries probably 😂 thx for that tip, easy reproducible strat 😊 . Some tips in phase 1 , try to charge 4 focus points and activate on certain distance always, not to close and not too far, def better success and also golden lining is great, if you have use celestial birthstone fragment curio to inflict lightning easily for extra dmg, i also used as a spirt fully upgraded mythical frog… mythical supreme gourd with Jade dew (55% health) and souks Guanyin Willow Leaf, Bee Mountain stone and Iron Pellet… good luck, I am done and platinum now :)
@@bigmattpark Idk, I did my first run with my own tactics and that was before the update. I’m on NG+++. The first face is still legit but it takes alot longer because of the higher health bars. Second face is a different story but I found out through experience that in second face he’s very weak to rock solid and thrust stance. That’s how I was taking him out in all the NG+ runs I did.
Beside the build, a couple things can get more crit hit change during the fight: 1. Drink: Tiger Relic +5% 2. Relics "Envious Tongue": After take medicine, get +15% (1:55) 3. Cloud Step "Concealed Observation": The longer you stay in Cloud Step, more Critical Hit Chance you get. --- This is huge

Brilliant build! The second phase of Broken Shell and Erlang were the toughest boss fights in the game for me. Will have to try this.

Its not workinf anymore cuz im middle of combo phase two sage expplodes and enters in a cutcene picking my porongo or doing an unblockeable combo

I know. "Unified Mind" with Pluck of Many also won't work on Wukong.
I cant build focus points in cloud step-.-
There is a skill needed to be unlocked under Cloud step.

Fan should be able to push him to the corner so that Timing is important. Otherwise, you can try Fan+Bat method.

Wukong stance can only be used in chapter 6. You'll have it when you wear the full Wukong armor set + Jingubang.
