GDP of a country and GDP-per capita must be measured in terms of Purchasing Power Parity. In USA, a family of 3 who are earning 30 lakhs per annum equivalent in INR is poor whereas in India 30 lakhs per annum for a family of 3 means upper middle class. So always mention the data keeping in mind the theory of economics.
if you know how to cook basically in USAs the price of vegetables and common commodities are actually almost same price as india. Only if u are lazy then it will be a hard task for you to live in USA. in USAs hourly wage is 18$ which means if u work 8 hours daily u can buy a pair of branded levi's jeans daily now compare daily wage of india. even the lower section of USA they can travel the world every year with their minimum wages income. which is not true for india. plus their laws are so fast and mostly u can say non corrupt. u can start business so easily in USA. in india u have to pay all the gundas and all. try to be among developed nations rather than criticizing their indices.
@@InfraTalks211 GDP-PPP per capita provides the standard of living of a country. Also GDP-PPP provides the real economic size of a country. Except international transactions nominal GDP doesn't have any value. For example- A product which has been manufactured in India will cost say 100 rupees. The same product in USA will cost 350 rupees and 200 rupees in China. So for the same quality and quantity of production, India is showing a nominal GDP of 100 rupees, USA- 350 rupees and China-200 rupees. But does that increases the purchasing power of USA and China. Certainly not. That is why the concept of PPP comes into play. India's GDP/capita in terms of PPP IS more than 10k dollars. That is why the population below poverty line in USA is 11.6% and in India it is 11.9%. In UK it is 18%. Check wikipedia typing the subjects economy of India, economy of UK and economy of USA.
Lol . Per capita income is not always a reliable metric. Consider aspects with global standards for gold , silver, and other raw materials, and apple samsung and other glob brands have standard pricing. For instance, South African countries also exhibit positive economic performance based on this perspective. Additionally, it's crucial to analyze various economic indicators for a comprehensive assessment.
@@InfraTalks211 Let us assume the exchange rate. The nominal GDP depends both on exchange rate and inflation. If the exchange rate appreciates a little bit for India, then her nominal GDP in terms of dollars will be 4.2 trillion. Now for doemstic purchase and transactions, how this exchange rate matters. Similarly the more the inflation, the more will be the nominal GDP. Does inflation help anyway in production of more goods and services? Also India has a large informal sector whose goods and services are not taken into account while calculating nominal GDP. So nominal GDP theory is just an eye wash. The PPP reflects the true economic scenario of a country, except international transactions. India is the 3rd largest economy.

Your analysis of using GDP per capita as the most important factor is skewed and is exactly how the West wants you to do your economics. Correct and most important measure is PPP ie Purchasing Power Parity. An Indian with $2600 can buy same stuff that a guy buys his equivalent in a developed country. Biggest problem of India is Economic Disparity between rich and power.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. While GDP per capita is commonly used for economic comparisons, both GDP per capita and Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) per capita are important metrics, but they offer different perspectives. GDP per capita measure focuses on the average economic output per person in terms of the country's currency. It provides an indication of the standard of living based on the country's overall economic performance. For a developed country, both metrics are considered, as they offer complementary insights into the economic well-being of the population. Also, India PPP is $7,130 and ranked 125
@InfraTalks211 India, as a nation, will never achieve $20000 dollar per capita, as the population is huge. India will need to be £500 trillion dollar economy. So stop evaluating your nation using the GDP metric that always favourthe west with its little population. PPP is the right measure. India is £13 Trillion in PPP and that is real power. What India need to really focus on is economy Parity and mechanisation of workforce with reduction of its population in Agriculture.

Guys still we shouldnt be happy after watched this video and dont feel too much proud to be an Indian as still we are nothing to America, China, Japan, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, France, Germany, Israel, Canada, UAE, Hong Kong, South Korea, Europe and Russia. We have to miles to go ahead. We have to change our mindset and mentality. We have to increase the literacy rate. We have to focus on more world class modern advanced infrastructure and developments. We have to maintain cleanliness everywhere. Make a clean and green India. Indian government has to bring new bills and make strict laws rules and regulations for each and every crime. Also they have to focus on employment. They have to improve the health and education system and make it a zero corruption and zero crime country. Make it great again. Then one day India will be a developed country and a super power nation in the world. May be by 2047 India will be the one of the developed countries in the world. May be by 2027-2030 India will be the 3rd largest economy in the world after America and China.

@@InfraTalks211 So make a video on the real economic pictures of countries.
