Couldn't find the color 8/0 beads to use so I substituted Miyuki Berry beads. Worked out wonderfully. Didn't need the acrylic ring.

I was thinking that I weave my beads tightly enough to make due without the ring. Thanks for posting this so I know I'm good to try it out without ring.

This is a lovely design! I like the use of the mandrel to help keep the round shape when beading! Will share on my blog! (beadinggem)

I love this pendant but find that it crunches up when I fold it so it doesn't form a smooth
circle. I've tried making tension looser but doesn't help. What can I do? Thank you

Thank you! I have been struggling to create beaded rings of various sizes, but starting with a base row going around the ring, and it always becomes bumpy. Your way is much better!😊

When using peyote stitch in a round, it sure seems a lot like a brick stitch to me. In appearance at least as I've yet to find reason to learn how to brick stitch.

This is a well-done video and the teaching is impeccable. I did this with a ring, that I had and I had to add one extra row of 11/0 rounds to both sides to make it possible to reach around the plastic ring. I am thinking my ring might have been a little thicker than the one they used on this video. I did have to add my ring before I finished the 2nd row of Delica 11/0's The fit was fairly tight in the center with the 15/0 ring. I think my stitching was too tight, I found I had to loosen my stitching to help it fold easier too. If you do not watch the whole video before you start following the instructions, make sure you have at least a half of a meter to 2 feet on the tail when you start so you do not have to add more thread to work the other side once you finish the first side. Thank you so much for sharing this. I really love my pendants!
