This was a great video and perfect position to video takeoff's. That MD-88 seemed pretty big compared to the other aircraft. Doesn't look outdated at all.
KFLL is one of the few US airports that recognise the plane spotter and plane film maker. Here in the UK some airports encourage enthusiasts to join local police groups to report any suspicious behaviour. I am a great fan of KFLL and visit every February.
Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport is one of the best airport that ever existed. I also Miami International Airport. I live about 15 southwest from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
The Southwest takeoff, the first one, looked so much like CGI that I had to keep reminding myself that it was real. Those colours are vibrant. Great job on the camera work. It's not easy to focus on a target that leaves the ground at 150mph. And ignore the narrow minded haters. They're full of crap.
The PAX/Cargo weight affects how quickly it can get airborne. That A321 was probably heavier then the 767 payload wise. If an aircraft has no payload it can takeoff pretty quickly and wouldn't need too much runway.

Darcee lee yes. An Air Canada Airbus took off from Pitt Meadows regional airport loaded with an nhl team and flew to Fort Lauderdale. Now I wonder...what other city would and nhl team fly out of with a name starting with PIT? If only it had said in the video!

19:50 was the Colorado Avalanche arriving to play the Florida Panthers the next day. They played in Pittsburgh the night before.
For a bit of trivia: in recent years, runway 09/27 was changed to 10/28 because of the shift in the earth’s magnetic pole.
That and nearby FXE also have runways 9/27....

It’s amazing that a 767 can get airborne 100 feet quicker than the A321
