It's a thin line, because as soon people see or hear other people can bring guests, they'll all want to do it. Then when the YC is swamped with people who didn't pay to be there, it's going to rub the people who did pay to be there up the wrong way. It's supposed to be exclusive and people are paying a lot for that exclusivity, so they should just keep it exclusive and have a no guests rule which they stick to. If you really want to spend some time with your friends, you have the whole rest of the ship to do that. But of course we know this (getting them into the YC) isn't about spending time with your friends, this is about showing off to your friends, so you shouldn't be doing it anyway 🙂
For shits and giggles, this is our approach regarding the muster drill on MSC. Around 3:30 or so, we find a bar near our muster station and order drinks. Once we see the crew show up at the station, we find the person scanning cards (usually wearing a pink hat), we get our cards scanned, and then someone goes back to the cabin to dial "881" to hear "your response has been recorded," and that's it. Enjoy your cruise.
Again it’s different in Europe since people are boarding at every port so muster happening sort of all day every day and you can go whenever before the ship sails on your first day.

Hello Guys, My wife and I love watching your videos. One issue I am having is MSC's website. I am new to MSC, we booked a Yacht Club room on Meraviglia in December of next year. We have been on several Royal Caribbean cruises and love them, unfortunately, they are getting so expensive with the wi-fi and drink package. Our problem is getting the cruise and our Voyager number linked together with my log in. Can you recommend what to do. I called customer service twice and they say it is good on their end. I am getting very frustrated. I do like the fact of the status matching. Our first cruise with MSC and we are Gold already. Thank you for the awesome videos!
Hi guys… Gold already, that’s awesome!! When you are on your app and you click profile, and then at the bottom it should show your voyager number and status. If not, I can understand your frustration. My suggestion would be to talk to guest services on the ship OR the future cruise desk. They usually have more time. We were on Magnifica and sat down with a wonderful lady. She pulled up our previous cruises and linked them to Chris since I missed his voyager number on 2 past cruises. She got everything updated for us. They might be super useful for you 😊😊😊
I'm legit concerned about doing the muster drill, my husband is recovering from a broken knee and so walking is a challenge and stairs even more. If I remember correctly last time they hearded everyone down the stairs and elevators were not allowed. Thinking I may give them a call today and see if there are any accommodations for him
Absolutely give them a call and also speak to guest services when you board. There has to be a way to accommodate you and it shouldn’t deter you from a great trip 😊😊
We were told in order to qualify for upgrades you have to be paid in full for your initial booking and NOT all reservations qualify for upgrade, you do also have to change your email settings to accept 3rd party and not all bids are accepted.
On our recent cruise on the seascape they played the video and then told everyone over the speaker to go to your station we didn’t have to call. We made the mistake on booking in the YC on the 19th deck because our station was on deck 7. lol I cleared out my mini bar and put all the beer in my pocket and drank the whole time walking down. After you get your card scanned you can use the elevator to go back up to get out of gen pop and back to the safety of the YC compound.
Neither Wristband nor card worked on Seascape. Supposedly the same thing works on NCL for Haven. We tried on Bliss and the elevator shut down for two days. LOL

Hey there. Thanks for joining in 😊 Gratuity is not included in the YC price. We always pay it in advance but it normally it gets added each day to your account just as if you were not in YC. OC is scheduled to open at the end of May!!!
Sorry if this makes me sound horrible, but if I've paid full price for YC I don't really think it's fair that people who have paid less are able to invite friends into YC who have paid even less. If you want YC book YC especially as Interior YC is so reasonably priced.
No matter if you booked YC or upgraded to YC you shouldn't be allowed to have guests.. And just because someone upgrades to YC, does not mean their experience should be less than someone who booked YC. Not all upgrades are "cheap". Our party of 6, 3 rooms, all upgraded to YC. And all 3 at different prices.
Had no issues with the elevator trick. The screen looked the same. You may have to wait a few extra seconds because they try to dedicate 1 elevator pre bank to YC. The easy trick I used it try it at one bank of elevators if the time says over 60 seconds I walk over to the other bank and try it there usually the second time I got it in about 20 seconds or less.
Hope you’ll be on the June 23rd Western Caribbean/ overnight at Ocean Cay as that’s our next cruise! If you’re on the the June 9th sailing I’ll be disappointed just a tiny bit 😂 but will enjoy the fact I’ll get to hear your opinions and thoughts about Seashore as we will be on her for the first time!
Same on Seascape Yacht Club. Went from peaceful to Chaos during Muster. Went right back up to Yacht Club. Elevators were supposed to Trump non Yacht Club people but this was not the case. People complained about this but we didn't care.
If you paid for YC and your friends didn’t then why would you invite them to an all inclusive higher price area? Go to their area which is open to all. YC is not open to all. And the YC staff need to enforce this and guest need to respect the YC’s inclusiveness.

Unfortunately, there’s not a one-size-fits-all answer… different settings for different apps & providers… best advice we can give is Google your apps/providers name and how to turn on third-party sharing. Hopefully that gets the answer you need.

Seascape yacht club safety drill we had our card scanned on the way to YC and our butler dialed the special number to complete our drill.
