Nice reading Northern only Station with 2 platforms on the T-Shirt, Moorthorpe Station building at 9:31 is the Mallard Coffee longue, great video G and nice to see 150001!
This is a trip down memory lane for me G as of course I used to go to Sandal & Agbrigg many times during my childhood and early to mid teens when my grandparents lived in Wakefield 😊 it was all Pacers and 321s/322s back in the day!
Thanks for the video G, grand to 👀 too castle's, like the older 150s.A bit windy on this one, not you off course 😊, make sure you keep those nickers warm !!😎🚃🚃🇬🇧💚
I used to commute Bentley to Leeds, so was great to see a couple of the stations which is on that route (Fitzwilliam and Sandal and Adbrigg) and what was going on behind them, as i only ever saw them through the window of the train! Great video!
Excellent video, G. Looks like the station building at moor Thorpe is being converted into a community space and cafe. Apparently, it used to be a pub?
Hi G, a 4AM alarm !!! Now that is dedication to the cause, as ever full of useful info and entertainment, really enjoying this series. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.
once again a very enjoyable video G, you being a all weather girl the wind didn’t put you off at all, love the knicker song and as always looking forward to your next adventure. 😊
Very nice. I've not done any of these, although I have done one of the other two Pontefract stations. In fact, one of my old phones was accidentally run over there... I actually had my 4th train day out at the weekend. I did Aylesbury Vale Parkway down to Rickmansworth, ticking off Aylesbury, Stoke Mandeville, Wendover, and Chorleywood. I'll do Great Missenden when I go to do Amersham and Chalfont & Latimer on the mainline, plus those two and Chesham/Moor Park/Croxley/Watford to finish the underground. I think a ticket to Great Missenden via London will allow me to do that? (I still need to do Marylebone to Harrow-On-The-Hill via Chiltern, otherwise I'd just drive to Amersham.)
Awesome t shirt G you found 150004 my last northern 150 for haulage it seems to keep hiding from me😂pontefract tanshelf and monkhill still found the wind again ❤❤
Back in 2018, I got stuck at Moorthorpe, on a 144/142 combo (I was on the former) due to a freight train derailment further down the line. Used the 496 bus to Wakefield to escape!
Your videos are absolute gold with your amazing humour G. Goldthorpe does seem very odd on how it’s been named but still it is a nice town with a very nice railway station. 😊
Great vlog and Stations covered G. I was trying not to laugh when you said Goldthorpe had some gold on the bench’s lol, it’s rust 😂Nice dodgy Station Pontefract Baghill covered great too see that castle too. I enjoyed watching as always.
Used to live in the first and lat areas on your video. Sandal area and Knottingley which is near Pontefract. Surprised you never got to see the Grey Lady ghost in the castle. She haunts that large green area near the enterence to the castle. If I had not moved and knew you were doing Sandal and Pontefract, I could have met you in both as the bus between Wakefield and Pontefract is only 30 minutes. Would have been strange me appearing in both places in one video. Oh well. If your visiting Scotland, bring some barm cakes lol
Also to see at Pontefract Baghill and this is for the people who like Paranormal things, 30 East Drive, The Black Monk of Pontefract which is one of the most haunted houses in the UK!
You went to Pontefract and you didn't have any Pontefract Cakes? 😮 I remember 150001 and 2 running the Reading to Basingstoke shuttle. Wondered where they had ended up.
Excellent, fast paced and another dodgy station highlighted off I seem to remember 150001 from a livestream that you and Cyber Trades did at Manch Vic a while back 🤣
Hey G! What are you using to film? may I suggest a wind cover if it has one supported? (Or if it's a phone, maybe a microphone that slots in to the charging port, that has a wind cover?) You have such great content, and it's just unfortunate when you're saying something interesting and a gust of wind comes and ruins it :(
Yet another D - lightful vlog.... I reckon that one o' these days you're gonna wipe your finger near a 'wet paint' sign and end up with a wet painted finger G! (so now I'm wonderin' if it'll be red or blue??)
Brilliant, the 150/0s shouldn't really be on the Leeds to Sheffield via Westgate but are sometimes on that route, they were transferred over to the Penistone line and had a few diagrams from Leeds to Sheffield to get them to Sheffield for the Penistone line
Those 150/0s have been regulars on both the Penistone line and the Dearne Valley stoppers since they moved east at the end of last year. Often there's 2 of the 6 on Penistone line services, another 2 on the Dearne Valley stoppers and 2 AWOL!
Had a bike ride to pugneys and Sandle castle last summer , nice place well worth a visit.
Great vlog, G! I see that unusual-looking statues seem to be popular in some of the parks you visited that day. Excellent choice of music as ever!
Thanks barrowc!
Awesome Video G Loves Trains

Have you taken a trip to Lincoln yet? Personally I think you’ll enjoy the city, but also the train to the coast is great too.
Very nice. I've not done any of these, although I have done one of the other two Pontefract stations. In fact, one of my old phones was accidentally run over there...

Hey G!

You have such great content, and it's just unfortunate when you're saying something interesting and a gust of wind comes and ruins it :(
Yes it’s a small bin but ‘what’s in the bin’ 😂another great vlog G 👍🏻👍🏻
Haha we wonder
You missed Harry Ramsden's!
Can't believe you think Baghill is dodgy having been to Thurscoe earlier in the day. The only gold in Goldthorpe used to be black gold.
Need Wind Sock on mic
Maybe William was only small, so everything has to be smaller so it all "Fits William"
😂
Gloves...You are Gold, Platinum, and Diamond rolled into one ball of goodness
Aw thanks!

Currently being renovated to The Mallard station pub which is what it was during the 90s when I was a kid there.
