    About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK to rural France and restoring this beautiful building to its former glory.

Poor man, he just kept on going. 💕🐥💕I always get a cuddly feeling watching Graham working with either Terry or Ash as he is such a gentle soul. You just want to hug him, he’s a real ‘Dad’ you’re all very lucky to have him come over to work as hard as he does. 💕🐥💕🐥💕xxxalex in Florida

I like that falling in workshop by the barn. It would make a very cool two story guest room.
You may want to consider turning the stables into an event bar. I can see it with indoor bar seating and a large patio for area for more seating with lights strung over it. It is close to the road, so an additional drive could be added. Maybe a weekend lunch cafe with sandwiches, too. Additional revenue streams could be a good option.

It's better to fix the vaporbarrier to the wall instead of to the wooden pannels. It will allow you to avoid unnecessary gaps in the vaporbarrier. You could use strips of wood to clamp the vaporbarrier to the walls. And the strips of wood could then be used as a base to attach the panels to the walls. This option allso allows you to create a thin layer of air between the panneling and the vaporbarrier. Another interesting thing is the use of breathebal vaporbarrier. Especially in area's where it's impossible to install insulation. Given the characteristics of a stonewall, that would be a plus

You might consider planting Cryptomeria Japonica 'Yoshina' or 'Radican' in front of the property along the fence by the road and at the back of the property to block the view of the neighboring farm. Fast growing, evergreen, virtually maintenance free, deer resistant, disease resistant, great screen and noise block. Yoshina is wider than Radican variety at the base, so consider the space that you have before deciding on the variety. They are really beautiful and have soft feathery greenery. A truly fast growing great back drop to any area.

I love how the video started. You took the viewer right into the action. The rooms are really coming together. I hope you all bring in apprentices; the skills you all have must be shared. Another great job!

I’ve got a question. With one side painted and the other side encased in a foil vapor barrier, how can the wood breathe?
