@@extinctionistrecordsblackm6380 It's way safer to have B12 from wild animals than from dirty water obviously. I'm not even sure how much B12 is in dirty water. Any source on this?
That man who dumped the fish packages appeared to get more ashamed throughout the conversation. Great way to call out someone who tries to make mockery or a joke out of somebody else's suffering.
Joey you recited a false fact. You said that 200 years ago the average person would live to age 40 when the other guy you were debating said that perhaps they lived to 60 on average. People are misrepresenting the facts when they say that the average adult died young back then… The main difference between then and now is the infant and child mortality rate. That’s what plays a huge issue in the statistics. If a child makes it to a certain age, then the likelihood that they were going to have a nice long life was great. But you can imagine that if people were losing their babies/children often (especially babies, because childbirth has always been a dangerous event, which our modern hospitals have done a great job in saving the babies in problematic pregnancies), then that is going to drastically bring down the age of life expectancy statistic, which completely misrepresents the fact that adults were living to an old age all the time back then.
This first guy.. I think where it went wrong is he doesn't understand the B12 argument. He thinks because B12 exists in wild animals, that it 'proves' meat is our natural diet. But he didn't question where those animals get the B12 from. You 'can' get B12 naturally, without a supplement. Because B12 comes from the soil. Neither plants or meat makes it by itself.
“If I was vegan I could have a salad”, says no vegan ever. Please give me sustenance. Oh yea and “we are just like lions”. Non vegans always say the same thing 🤣
We're not fish is the difference between eating mammals and another species. Chinese unbelivable cruelty is a different thing though. Cooking it alive and not killing it. No its not sustainable.
Why is it, "At the end of the day you're taking a life but"..... he had it right until he added that "but". He would never have added this if this were a conversation about human beings. People are so disconnected.
You say this because something is not in the same species as you?? What does that matter? Pain is pain, suffering is suffering no matter what the species.
@Magnectlyn Monroe Ah yes aren't you the smart one 😊 so by your comparison it's totally cool for me to slaughter and eat humans right? I mean fish eat fish right? And whose really the greater evil here??? 🤯
@Magnectlyn Monroe Well since you are to stupid to comprehend. 🤣 Let me break it down, Human beings are evil because we pollute the planet, enslave people and animals, take others resources, invade eachother over religious beliefs, bomb eachother, experiment on other beings for cosmetics, I can go on and on...
B12 is found in mushrooms. Concentration of that b12 can be a solution, especially because mushrooms can be grown almost anywhere. Research into vegan foods has not been given the focus, the funding or the resources that the animal flesh industry has been given. Ask yourself why.
@@dragonskylords9032 True... Yeah i meant by being direct with his message. Even tho Garry Yourofsky is still unbeaten with his direct approach, thats what i love! Garry is a real expert when it comes to this!
Pain is not the only factor. What about the psychological factor. If you gave dog pain killers then kicked the crap out of it it doesn’t really justify the harm because they didn’t feel it.
From what I now, drinking from untreated running water can be a source of b12, before we did the filtering process.. I believe if Joey only had said that, it could easily shut down his b12 argument
Fish boy said he doesn't feel like anyone should tell you what to eat, he's only sitting there with a sign, is fishboy going to say the same to the restaurants with posters on the windows? 😂
That salmon was Tassel I think, so yes factory farmed. For anyone interested in reading about the salmon farming industry in Tassie I highly recommend “toxic “
I've yet to meet anyone actually B12 deficient, especially vegans who eat a good WFPB with lots of leafy greens & lentils. I think it is a supplement racket that uses fear to target vegans.
@@dragonskylords9032 Your body stores B12, you would not know if you have deficiency until your stores are depleted, and as we age our absorption of B12 decreases. I know my gf's father takes a B12 supplemented as he was getting B12 deficient as a meat eater
Anecdote, but I was B12 deficient before going vegan. Calorie count was fine, thought I was eating balanced. Think a bit of self education via going vegan and getting a variery of wholefoods in helped a lot. Replaced animal products with tons more variety of good foods. I take a multivit sometimes if I haven't eaten well in the day, but I obviously needed it as a non-vegan too. Probably moreso.
@@ONeill01 B12 deficient according to what test? There's no valid test to detect such a thing. The "symptoms" could indicate 30 different illnesses. And I'm sure my "stores" are depleted never taking a supplement and vegan since mid-1990s, and eat no "fortified" food either.
@@jamesg3105 Deficient according to what? Those tests are total misdiagnoses. You're taking toxic multivitamins made of chemicals your body can't absorb. Just eat plenty of lentils and dark leafy greens, loaded with B complex.
Man... joey just gets better and better and then even more better. That was faultless joey. Outstandingly impactful. Direct and true sir. Truly Excellent stuff. Couldn't take my eyes and ears of the screen man!
Exactly. If you eat most animal flesh you are ALREADY supplementing your B12 because the animal is receiving the supplement in their feed or through injections. Not to mention that most animals are herbivores. When you eat plants and take a B12 supplement, the animal isn’t involved in the process and doesn’t need to die. Thank you for explaining this to people Joey!
You did a great job Joey. I have total respect for you. I wish more people would pay attention to what you're saying. I started out vegetarian and thruUA-cam i watch your channel and the vegan couple which gave me insight. I have now started to incorporate the vegan life.
Joey, I think the point he was trying to make was that B12 cames from animals. You should have said B12 occurs in the soil thats where our ancestors got it from.
B12 doesn't come from animals. It's found in the same plant foods as other B vitamins like lentils & dark leafy greens. There's no "separate" B vitamins, which is why the group is called B complex.
Joey was implying in factory farms, the water and food sources are "sterilized" so there is no natural B12. It has to be supplemented... Remember B12 is produced by bacteria.
@@randomdude3646 totally agree both were not on the same page. This guy was 'trying' to make the point that a vegan diet is incomplete as vegans have to supplement B12. He thought it was impossible for a human to be a vegan in the past when there were no supplements. Setting him straight on that point would have made the convo easier
Joey is very aware of that. He just used another point for the argument and I am sure he doesn’t always construct his arguments perfectly. Nonetheless, he is an exceptional activist!
That'll be like saying it's incredible how many people don't know how to use a typewriter therefore the world is ignorant. You spend every waking moment thinking about veganism, it's kind of a given that every argument you hear from a person that's never thought of it before will sound unconvincing and repetitive. Nonetheless, this does not mean the world is getting more ignorant but rather that you have no life. Don't think for a moment you're intellectually above carnists just because you understand simple scripts of logic.
Terrible perspectives here, just a few years ago, b12 deficiency was estimated to be 40% of the USA human population, at the time the vegan population was little more than 1% of that population, so that means nearly half the US meat eating public were deficient. That is purely down to farming practice that is destroying the natural soils that crops are grown on, along with cleaning of veg before cooking, destroying b12.
@Trevegan If that were true, then all other vitamins and minerals would be missing from the soil along with the B12 or washed off. The whole "B12 deficiency scare" is a myth perpetuated by the pharma companies who make billions off the supplements. The campaign uses fear to target vegans who still believe in running to doctor to get "tested" with bogus tests that misdiagnose. Never taken a b12 supplement, never will, many many years now.
@@dragonskylords9032 oh do learn chemistry dear boy, that was a scientific study by soil scientists about the depletion of b12 in it, all other nutrients are in plants.
@@MrTrevisco I'm far from the only long-term vegan who's never taken a synthetic B12 supplement - there's Gary Yourofsky. On his website he makes it clear he's never taken a B12 supplement after 25 years of being vegan: "The best way to get B12 is to let your body produce it naturally. This vitamin comes from bacteria that live in our mouth and intestines. Health cannot be found in a bottle. It doesn't come in pill form." Vegans stubbornly insisting their diet is so imperfect they need to take a synthetic chemical full of toxic waste byproducts is totally illogical.
@@pleaseenteraname4840 What depletes good bacteria from the gut is ANTIBIOTICS, which I haven't taken in decades. This guy thinks everyone should hunt their food, and what happens after a few days when there's no wildlife left after 8 billion humans have killed every deer, rabbit etc?
They haven't thought it through. I had no idea how many baby brains walk among us until I became vegan and watched seemingly intelligent people turn into idiots instantly once veganism was brought up. It's some sight!
Also, some of us have jobs: not sure when I'd find the time to go out hunting, just as much as I can't grow my own veg. We just don't have a society where we can realistically supply our own food, so it will always have to be farmed.
@@knisiker615 Yes they would because people would still rather pay to have someone else do all the work, just like we'd still plant crops rather than forage. As soon as we became capable of doing these things we did them, and that was long before we were overpopulated.
@@Stevelives13 You could buy food from hunters and farmers if you didn't want to do it yourself. But factory farming is on a completely different level, it only exists because of overpopulation of humans. We will soon have more plastic than fish in the waters.

People are misrepresenting the facts when they say that the average adult died young back then…
The main difference between then and now is the infant and child mortality rate.
I think you could've crushed the appeals to nature a bit harder but otherwise good work.

Why is it, "At the end of the day you're taking a life but"..... he had it right until he added that "but". He would never have added this if this were a conversation about human beings. People are so disconnected.
Because it’s a fish not a human. Yes it’s still a life but there is a difference.
You say this because something is not in the same species as you?? What does that matter? Pain is pain, suffering is suffering no matter what the species.
@Magnectlyn Monroe
Ah yes aren't you the smart one 😊 so by your comparison it's totally cool for me to slaughter and eat humans right? I mean fish eat fish right? And whose really the greater evil here??? 🤯
@@Susenbach You lost that one didn't you!
@Magnectlyn Monroe
Well since you are to stupid to comprehend. 🤣
Let me break it down,
Human beings are evil because we pollute the planet, enslave people and animals, take others resources, invade eachother over religious beliefs, bomb eachother, experiment on other beings for cosmetics, I can go on and on...
I have been pescetarian my entire life and i did a blood test and all my vitamins and B-12 were through the roof.
@You Tu mercury levels were very low, we only eat fish once per week.
B12 is found in mushrooms.
Concentration of that b12 can be a solution, especially because mushrooms can be grown almost anywhere.
Research into vegan foods has not been given the focus, the funding or the resources that the animal flesh industry has been given.
Ask yourself why.
Never mess with an ozzy vegan, otherwise you'll be called fish boy.
Real quality intros and videos! Love it!
We are lucky you are doing this!
You are the modern Gary Yourofsky!
Gary didn't do street outreach, he did educational talks mostly, but I know what you mean. Joey is one of the best out there now.
@@dragonskylords9032 True... Yeah i meant by being direct with his message. Even tho Garry Yourofsky is still unbeaten with his direct approach, thats what i love! Garry is a real expert when it comes to this!

Video production quality is looking great Joey
Pain is not the only factor. What about the psychological factor. If you gave dog pain killers then kicked the crap out of it it doesn’t really justify the harm because they didn’t feel it.
I don't know how it's possible, but Joey keeps getting better at this.
From what I now, drinking from untreated running water can be a source of b12, before we did the filtering process.. I believe if Joey only had said that, it could easily shut down his b12 argument
Appreciate your patience talking to these stubborn meat eaters, Joey! Keep up the great work!
Fish boy said he doesn't feel like anyone should tell you what to eat, he's only sitting there with a sign, is fishboy going to say the same to the restaurants with posters on the windows? 😂
Thank you Joey!
I'm surprised the guy was ready to chat after dumping the fish.
Go on Joey my guy, man said "like i don't particularly like you" hahahahaha
That salmon was Tassel I think, so yes factory farmed. For anyone interested in reading about the salmon farming industry in Tassie I highly recommend “toxic “
You handled that dweeb brilliantly. Eye of the tiger, Joey.
Well fish boy will think twice about victimising animals next time
I know meateaters that are B12 deficient. Meateaters and vegans both can be B12 deficient. Same thing in any other nutrient.
Stop murdering innocent animals.

What a prick! That would upset me so much during outreach- love how you handled that Joey
How embarrassing for that guy, so childish and uneducated!
Good job Joey. Keep up this great work you are doing.
Fish boy looks 60 dresses like he’s 16.
@@chrismcgowan5180 okay. he should realize the same point could be made against omnivores who only get their meat from factories.
I love how some people think vegans are just peaceful hippies when in reality we are not afraid to stand up for what’s right.
It's incredible the amount of ignorance in people till this day ! Wow !! Thanks so much for everything Joeyy!!!!💓💓💓💓
Petition for the urgent creation of "Come and Face Me, Fish Boy" t-shirts 😂 Amazing as always Joey
It doesn't come in pill form."
Vegans stubbornly insisting their diet is so imperfect they need to take a synthetic chemical full of toxic waste byproducts is totally illogical.

That's an overpopulation problem. People need to stop breeding like rabbits and places like factory farming wouldn't exist.
