Passing out parade of PI 303 to 305 on a hot summers day. Our intake, PI 306-308 supporting and marching by in column of route. Spotted myself giving orders to salute on march by at 25.50min to 26.05 mins and looking very sweaty indeed. Great days. Miss it all very much.... we were last of the colonial officers
My uncle was in the Royal Hong Kong police force from 1960 to 1997. He told me the 1967 riot story later on we all immigrants to USA. We all love HK I am very saddened Hong Kong situation hope all BNO holders will get out. Hong Kong is done no more.
Hong Kong is fine... I am in this video and stayed here. 没问题。 it’s the USA everyone needs to worry about. Those poor democracy demonstrators getting shot at Capitol Hill. Terrible.
The parade should invite many various parties as it's visitors including new immigrant, Churches, recovered people and disabled people . Each party received tickets to watch the shows by Police. I love it.
Back when the Royal Hong Kong Police served Hong Kong one could truly walk the streets and feel safe. Nowadays this does not seem the case to many, let this serve as a reminder of those days, and perhaps a beacon of hope for those who wish to see a return to peace.

I know a fair bit about British decorations, looks like he has a MBE/OBE, a General Service Medal, a Silver Jubilee Medal, and (probably) a long service medal. Probably prior British forces before joining the police. In the Commonwealth you can wear your military and police medals together as long as they follow order of precedence.
He was in the Scots Guards for twenty two years, he did two tours of duty in Northern Ireland, he just missed the Falklands war as he had already signed up for the RHK Police.

The waning days of the empire. I bet many HKgers miss you lot.
Superb
I never tire of watching the RHKPolice on parade. The smart turnout is quite something. Congratulations to all officers and men.

Before 1997 even a PC was full of confidence to carry out his order or duty and I love their paramilitary khaki uniform; tough & ready!
Look back at 75 and they were drilling with full suits and the lee-en field rifle. What a sight it was!
Very sweaty it was for me... my uniform soaked. I am giving salute order at 25.50
