I really like how you do the essay title cards, both the Thumper titles and this were really cool and professional looking too imo.

Thanks! It is kind of something that I just stumbled on putting this video together, and I've just stuck with it ever since.

Really nicely put together, I could tell you put a lot of effort into all the cuts. I never really understood the ending of shadow of the colossus, but I see now why it's so powerful. I do remember feeling bad whenever I killed a colossus, it's neat how it implicitly communicated that feeling. A minor tip would be to update how you handle the intro. 20 seconds of reading text does isn't a really good way to draw the viewer in, I think you could have summarized those with a few quick verbal comments instead.

    Great video!
Makes me think of how even if the player character is supposed to be the hero, most games really take an ends justify the means approach to morality. So do books and movies I suppose, but there it's quite often still portrayed as a 'we know it's bad but gotta do what you gotta do', wheras in games it's pretty much expected you take whatever you can get your hands on, use stun-gun with whoever is conveniently available, and never question whether you should. (Although ofc this trope has also been subverted.)
Which I'd say doesn't make games immoral or anything. I guess it comes with the necessity of having the player do those things if they're required. A movie character and um and ah about a choice for minutes and then still do it. But if a player is presented with loads of reasons not to do things, they might just not do them... and miss out. Which works for some games, but probably not most.

They both certainly have a similar saturated color palette, that's partially why I still prefer this version of SotC as opposed to the remake.

Thanks, I always think it's fun to use something a little different than just another track of the game's soundtrack for the closing song.
