It's so weird being a non-American and sometimes watching an American TV channel, and the amount of pharmaceutical adverts that are on is so crazy! I say Empire of Pain is a fascinating read. So glad to hear you loved The Anthropocene Reviewed - it's one I really want to read.
I have The Anthropocene Reviewed and heard many positive things said. Sounds like something I would like. Being at the top of your list makes me even more excited. I would like to read all of Kate Atkinson...I made this determination after reading one of her books. I'm a goof. Ducks and Flung Out of Space intrigue me.
Yeah, it was definitely the standout graphic novel of 2022 as far as review publications go. I'm surprised more people on booktube didn't read it this year.
I’ve really been wanting to reread The Anthropocene Reviewed. I’d also like to reread Empire of Pain on audio, I would love to experience PRK’s narration. I remember all the stuff about drug advertising blowing my mind. Somehow I hadn’t heard of Solito, I’ve added it to my tbr!
Bitter Orange is my favorite Claire Fuller book so far. I really like her writing style but don’t always find her books successful. I still need to read Swimming Lessons though!
I kind of forgot I also read Our Endless Numbered Days, which I didn't really enjoy. I'd be willing to give her one more chance, but her books might not be for me. And that's ok!

I loved Unsettled Ground.
Fling Out of Space sounds so interesting, I've somehow never even heard of it before.
It's relatively new and didn't feature on many end-of-year lists. I'm glad I heard about it and that my library system had it.

I definitely want to read more Kate Atkinson, since she's so prolific and generally very good.
Ducks looks beautiful and harrowing. I am trying to get back into reading more graphic novels this year, so might look into this one.
