Paddle tails should be hooked upside down when using chatter baits , it makes the paddle work the right way it should .

I actually really like to cut the top 1/3rd of my tore up trick works and senkos as trailers on the chatterbait as a trailer and the wobble gives it a nice action. I catch um with it

@@nathanquincefishing7122 I kinda typed that weird. It's supposed to read: I like to cut off the top 1/3rd of the senkos and trick worms and use the rest as a trailer. its got a nice action and looks really good imo. watermelon/white senko trailer on a white chatterbait is one of my favorites. thanks for replying nathan and thanks for putting in the work to bring us this content. I really enjoy your videos.

The trick worm works good on the mini max.

Hey Nate how ya feeling? My question is for river fishing now that water temps are mid to maybe low 50s. Do ya have a vid talking about this time????? Feel better

I feel the Razor shad is a lot better and the colors match the Jackhammers perfectly.

They are fairly cheap but a pain in the arse to rig , not worth the hassle imo

I just recently purchased a couple of the big chatterbaits. Recently saw on an app that the snap on these baits needs to be replaced. Problem is I don't know what size to buy. Any idea?

Hey Nathan great stuff. Can’t wait to get my hands on some for next year. You said you don’t like swim baits as a trailer but try this. Pick your swim bait an then cut the paddle sides off the tail. So all your left with is the rib center. Try this an hold on. With colder water temps comin how bout one on hair jigs???????

Thanks Nathan. Zako is a no Brainer. That z craw might be one of the best trailers I have used. Rigged just like you said.
Another trailer not used by anyone is a speed worm cut to about 4.5"s. You can cut it smaller for the mini max. Had great days on that trailer.
Just got a trailer from beast coast that has alot of potential. It may replace the zako for me.

Heading up to PA in mid November for some Lake Erie smallmouth. Any lure/technique suggestions? Thanks!

Always have a chatterbait tied on , quit buying trailers a few years ago because I've found they are overrated, just use old plastics now , creature baits , finesse worms , tubes and soft swimbaits with the tail trimmed down , imo one of the best chatterbait trailers is a baby brush hog which happens to also be my favorite shakeyhead bait so I end up with a lot of used baits that work great , in the winter I like to use a 3 -4" piece of a trick worm

same here with the trick worm, i think it makes a great trailer because it flows so well with the bait

I tend to prefer more of a Fluke-style trailer on chatterbaits than, say, a paddletail. With a Fluke, the chatterbait will give the tail tons of action, whereas, I feel a paddletail tends to fight the action the chatterbait gives off.

    Nathan Another great video.
I like your choices. You are spot on with a smaller more subtle trailer. It’s a great idea to follow the Sun
Have you ever used a creature bait for a trailer? A full size brush hog with some sparkle to it dances as it falls.
    Be well my friend
