I found similar results when I set with the Hourglass mineral veil powder (which is weird b/c it's so finely milled) . I didn't try it w/ the Becca powder. That powder is trippy😄🤯. I got the best results with the Laura Mercier translucent powder. Even better than w/ the actual Fenty powder. I think the biggest downside for me is that I got it at the same time as the ABH foundation and I like the ABH one better right now. I think I'll get more use out of the Fenty foundation in the winter. Thanks for the review.
I got a sample of this from Sephora in shade 110. My forehead definitely looked like a greaseball by the end of the day, and even my cheeks looked oily. I have combination skin, with a bit of oiliness on the forehead and normal to dry cheeks. I have plenty of sample left for one or two more applications, so I will probably try setting it with powder or mixing it in with another foundation. I'd like to make it work so that I have a foundation to use in the winter when my face gets drier.
Well another great video it sucks trying to find that perfect Foundation. I always go back to my Josie Maran I love her products and I'm waiting for a foundation to come in the mail I just seem to do really well with that. Have a great weekend and thanks again

Yes! I just placed a Sephora order for the new ABH palette and am getting a sample of the CT foundation, which of course if I love I'll buy the full size because I love CT. I couldn't decide between shade 2 Cool or 3 Cool (my other favorites in the shade finder recommended either one) so the sample is in 3 Cool - so I'm also kind of using that to judge if I need to buy 3C or 2C :)
Geek Out of Water 3C will be dark for you! I have 2C and it works. I think you will like 2C or even 1C for you because it darkens quite a bit when it drys down. Sponge didn’t work for me so I use a brush with it and I only use 1/2 a pump, more than that looks heavy after 5 hours or so..
Geek Out of Water I just exchanged my 2C for 1C I think you will be 1C too. Just heads up in case you like the foundation and want to order it. The undertones are all crazy... and it darkens quit a bit when it dries down.
Oy then Sephora's shade finder is an epic fail on this one! I always put in Double Wear 1C1 Cool Bone and MAC NW15 (my winter and summer shades, respectively) and it said 2C and 3C.

I’m happy you made this, I tried 4 different powders with this and had the same issue. I really wanted to love this because the shade matches are amazing but it’s just not something I think will work for my skin type since I’d need to set it with powder.
Great review!! Btw your skin looked so fresh and glowy even before the foundation. UD primer maybe? I remember that primer received a lot of either big love or hate. Maybe I need to look into it cuz your skin looked so pretty!!! 💚💚💚
Thanks, Lucy! I did a side by side wear test of the Tatcha Silk Canvas and UD primer, and they're nearly identical (just different in the ingredients, and in that battle Tatcha wins). I love them both! The UD is easier to travel with but otherwise at home I reach for them equally.
Hi Shelly, a point about fragranced products I believe you mentioned was developing a sensitivity to them over the course of time. . I noticed my lips and tongue going numb from certain lip products, a nasty taste in my mouth from being around scented dryer sheets (even while outdoors) wafting thru the outside air and nausea with migraines from those plug-in (aerosol, too) air fresheners. . Please, please use caution. Multiple Chemical Sensitivity isn’t a allergy and the only way to alleviate it’s symptoms is to avoid what triggers it. . I’m NOT a doctor and concerned for folks health. I truly apologize if I sound like “the sky is falling, the sky is falling”.
That's the tricky thing about a lot of this! People think, oh, I'm fine, no sensitivities here - but they can pop up out of the blue. I recently switched out all of my laundry products to fragrance free after having trouble determining what was causing an allergic dermatitis reaction. We never figured out the cause but I'm sticking with the fragrance free detergents anyway.
Geek Out of Water The surprising thing about MCS is, it happens gradually until our bodies can’t handle the fragrances. I’m very thankful when you let your viewers know if something is highly fragranced and scented. Or if lip products are perfume-y, have a chemical smell & taste. It seems to set wonderfully for some and not at all for others (Angie at Hot and Flashy had a similar experience to mine). I have a feeling there's a body chemistry issue that determines whether the ingredients set down or not. The people it works for seem to be loving it! ThaTaylaa had a positive review of it last night.

Thank you for another awesome review! I bought this shade in 145 and it’s a little too light 😣 I’ve had a similar experience with it needing to be set with powder then getting cakey. This foundation does settle in my smile lines and furrow line between my brows and nose folds. I’ve tried it with multiple primers and so far the only one that it is decent with is my Tatcha silk canvas primer.

I tried the FB foundation when it first came out, I was very hopeful but it didn't work for me, it felt heavy and actually kind of dry on my skin, it would settle into my pores and lines, for being a hydrating foundation I was expecting much more, I tried different primers and sunscreens, I'd mix it with other foundations, even with a few drops of oil trying to make it work, and it did, but it was just a waste of time so I ended up exchanging it for the ABH luminous foundation and I loved it! that was a perfect shade match and even though it doesn't claim to be hydrating it actually feels more hydrating than the Fenty one... love your videos, hugzzzz 🤗
This looked pretty good, but I hate when I can feel the foundation all day. Might be worth grabbing a sample next time I'm in Sephora, but I don't want to pay this much for something that isn't comfortable. Off to watch Thataylaa's video to see how her opinion compares to yours!
Definitely dewy. Your skin looks very nice Shelly, the peeling looks to have slowed or stopped. The shade looked really nice when you applied it. I hate when a foundation feels obvious or heavy. :-/ Those are usually the ones that migrate into my lines and wrinkles and transfer as well. I saw the new Milani eyeshadow palettes at Walmart yesterday. The other gilded one is mostly greens which looks gorgeous! Did you by chance get that one too?
The green one was out of stock when I went! I got the rouge, the violet, and the dark/smoky one. So far Rouge is awesome, Violet is a pass, and I haven't tried the dark one yet!
Geek Out of Water truly... I hated this foundation. Just one light layer and I felt it... my husband looked at me and said, is that a new foundation? Good or bad I asked. 👎🏻 he’s like. I love you. I said haha that’s a nope! Hahaha! He’s like I can see it... it’s not like your skin but better.

Oh my gosh, the part about having to sneeze but wanting to keep your eyes open cuz you just put on mascara! Oh man that happens to me and I don't even wear foundation 😅 You totally brought back fond memories of Mythbusters for me though!! ♥️ They worked on busting the myth that your eyes pop out of your head when you sneeze and roll across the floor - spoiler alert, but good news for us, they busted it!

Did it kind of remind you of the orignal Fenty foundation, but a hydrating version? Maybe that doesnt make sense, but that is kinda what I was feeling from it. It also reminded me of the KVD Lock It in a way, but again that is a matte and this one is definitely dewy. 150 matches my neck perfectly though so I bought it anyway in the hopes that I can use it as a mix-in. It's hard to find a perfect skin match for me so I had to get it, even if I wasn't totally sold on the formula. I really think it might be nice to bump up coverage with other foundations. Here's to hoping anyway. Otherwise I wasted another $50 on a foundation that will just go unused and then rancid in my ever mounting collection. Foundation is one makeup product I find nearly impossible to declutter for some reason. They are like a collection of my little trophies as I hunt for the perfect one. I picked up samples of the foundation 2 days ago. Personally, I'm not overly impressed. Both colors are too light, and have a strange undertone. It definitely enhanced texture between my eyebrows. I'm definitely liking and sticking with the ABH Luminous foundation. Shelly, I think it looks good on your skin, but even for you, I thought the ABH looked smoother. I too find that this feels a bit heavy on the face. Thanks for reviewing this. I was dying to find out what you thought of it. 💖

@@goow I think the ABH side looked more luminous, and didn't seem to settle onto dry patch, or settle into fine lines. Today, I'm wearing a full face of the Fenty, and it's not the right color, and just looks drab. I forgot to ask Rachel what she thought of the ABH. She picked up a sample the other day. My girls definitely aren't makeup crazy like I was and still am. My mother had a massive collection of lipsticks, always wore winged liner, and false eyelashes even just to go to the grocery store!! LOL.
I picked this one up too. My shade is 140 (which is what they suggested as a match for the Estee Lauder 1W1 bone ) I've only tried it once so far and I do like it. I also want to try it with different things to see how it works with different products. I hope you find the perfect combo as you play around with it. :)
I suspect this will be a good mixer - I'm thinking maybe with a more matte foundation that possibly doesn't wear as long. Take down the dew just a smidge and help the other one last longer.
Ok so playing around with this today and I think I finally found a way to make it look nice all on its own. I used Mac Strobe Cream as a primer, bounced one extremely light layer of foundation on and then bounced another lighter layer where I needed extra coverage using a damp sponge (I sprayed my sponge with a setting spray too), then let it dry down some and finally went in with a very finely milled powder. I used Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Natural Lighting Powder which is a luminous powder. Finally, after I applied all my makeup I set it down with the Moprhe setting mist and short of having to tap out a few creases once it has looked fantastic so far and I am 6 hours in. It's not sticky on my face anymore, but still looks dewy and luminous, it's not heavy as I struggled with before, and I'm not losing coverage and it's not doing that weird thing where its dewy but looks dry in bits. Oh and even my bf said it looks good. I'm actually totally loving it today. Oh also I used a mineral sunscreen. I really think the powder and the strobe cream were the saviours here though!
I can't work with Talc in my foundation so this one is a "nope" for me. I also find it weird that all of the primers and original foundation have the really pretty glass bottle (though breakable!) and this one has "meh" packaging.
I just tried this (same skin type as you) and returned it because I felt it sat on top of my skin and did nothing to enhance it. I came home with the new MAC stick and Bobbi Brown Skin liquid. Could you review one or both of those? Curious what you think of them.
I'm glad you said something about the packaging. Every other reviewer I've seen said it was nice but you can't look at the beautiful frosty glass packaging of the original and think this looks good. Plus, it's plastic! Rant over.

It does get points for the undertone seeming a proper cool pink instead of warm peach.... the perfomance - interesting. Not my favourite I've seen on you, but after seeing how abysmal it looked on Taylor (she reviewed it today too), I was expecting it to be way worse than it is. Don't think it's for me though, I need one that works a bit better with setting (and it's really not a $52 performing foundation - for that price I expect it to look a lot nicer) - living in NQ with its heat & humidity you really need to set foundation or it slides off your face in a couple of hours (plus my incoming little lines/wrinkles do far better with a set foundation).
Me, I don't like dewy but if I had a foundation that was exceptionally dewy then I'd use my Clinique powder over the top. I do want to hear more about this Becca powder! I did see someone using it and really liked it as well. I almost got some during the Ulta sale but didn't. Damn. I should have instead of the UD Born to Run.
The Becca powder is really cool! (pun intended lol) It's such an interesting and bizarre sensation the first time trying it - it's got a very cool sensation and feels literally wet. But it's not. I have heard that the cooling goes away long before you run out of powder, but they have a travel size now which seems to me like it might solve that problem. It's also very pretty and blurring on the skin, so surely you could use it even after the "hydra-mist" feature wears off. I'm enjoying it! I love the Born to Run palette too so I don't think you could've gone wrong between the two :)
Also, I'm wondering if the comfortability (it is a word 😝) might be due to the Becca powder. The foundation is dewy enough that I think the hydrating powder makes it feel like that.
yeah this one didn't interest me even a little. I have been using the ABH. I have also been using and really liking the derma blend drops. they are very nice. weird-ish shade range but I mix a couple. and its very smooth.
Shelly! I was just test driving this foundation today too! I was thinking it was a B+ and wondered what your rating would be too 🤣😊. I love these videos and value the way you break things down for us. I also love that we're pretty much the same foundation shades because it helps me color match. Sephora isn't always perfect with their online tool. Unfortunately I will be returning the Stellar foundation I ordered with this Fenty one because it's the right cool neutral tone but far darker than my neck chest and upper arms. The finish was great I think so I might re order it or just replace my Dior Forever. It was my go too foundation till they reformulated and took away my shade 014. Have you tried either the Stellar or Dior Forever? I'm of course going to go back through your video history in the morning 🤣
It seems like the more shades a foundation has, the less likely I am to find my shade. But I can still make it work with catrice darkening drops. 200 is the perfect undertone for me, just a bit too light. If I go any darker than that, the undertone is off for me. I still liked it, though.
Yes I can definitely see mixing this with something a little more matte to tone down the dew a little bit and potentially help the other foundation last longer.
I got mine during the VIB sale, but I thought it was lightweight but not enough coverage. I also find that Fenty foundations work best with Fenty primers. I know...But once I tried it, I got the best performance out of the foundation. I did find that using a different primer, like Catrice hydrating primer, the foundation would not set. Powder is horrible over it, especially when I tried setting my eyes.
I hate to feel makeup on my face, plus I’m wanting something with a lighter coverage. I’m thinking about the Kosas Tinted Oil, CT’s Light Wonder, or the new Nudestix Tinted Cover foundation. Do you (or anyone else) have any thoughts on those? Thanks a bunch, love🍃🌸
Everyone I know that's tried the CT Light Wonder loves it. I personally have a hard time with her base products because most have broken me out but the Light Wonder doesn't have a shade fair enough for me so even if I was willing to risk it, I couldn't use it lol

There have been so many new foundation launches lately but none have really interested me. I think part of it is makeup fatigue. I'm just so tired of the nonstop launches and I haven't seen anything recently that would be a quality addition to my collection
I found this foundation sat very strangely on top of my skin and I have not been able to make it work, regardless of how I apply it. I think I bought into the hype prior to its release - never again.
This new formula is HORRIBLE. I returned it. You nailed the truth with this review. I have normal to dry 50 year old skin. This foundation NEVER sets unless you set with powder. The original formula sets and has very little transfer. I never use powder on my face b/c I am 50 and I never need to with good foundations. I love Fenty product but this got a big no. No Fandom for this.
I ended up picking up a sample of this and on the first day I wore it I loved it. 2nd day it felt really heavy but I think I applied too much. I set lightly in a couple of areas with CTs pressed powder and it did ok. I still just love my CYO lifeproof the best and I'm so sad CYO is no longer going to be a company!

@@sarahroehl I use shade 101, the lightest one, in CYO and the lightest in the Soap and Glory version is the same color. I can only attest to this one shade but if there is a corresponding shade to your CYO one, it's quite possible it would work.
@@sarahroehl Funny you should mention shade 104! I ordered 4 bottles on the Walgreens site because shade 101 was getting harder to find and it was BOGO 50% off. I didn't realize they sent me 2 bottles in 101 and 2 in 104 until after the 30 day return window so I'm stuck with 2 bottles I can't use. Would you like them?? I can ship them to you and I'm not asking for any money for them.
I've been wearing a bunch of the CoverGirl Matte Made (which isn't really matte on me), and some of the new releases - the ABH Luminous, Tarte Foundcealer, PUR Love Your Selfie... and I've been back into light coverage on hot days (it was 92 today so we're still in summer here!) with the Kosas tinted face oil and the Clarins skin illusion.
The fragrance is a disappointment. Sounds like it would trigger an instant headache for me. All of these piles of new foundation releases fall short of the mark in one way or another it seems, and I don't feel like buying any of them. Just waiting for your review on the new Charlotte Tilbury, which I'm assuming is eventually coming. :)
Yes!! I got lucky and Sephora had a sample offer of shade 3 Cool. I was between shade 2 Cool and 3 Cool and couldn't decide - so I bought the new ABH eyeshadow palette and got the sample, and of course if I love it I'll know if 3 Cool is too dark or not when I buy the full size :) It should be coming Monday or Tuesday!
Vassi Bieber yes and I have dry combo skin. Tzone gets oily. It felt heavy like oh yes ... wearing makeup. I can’t stand that feeling. Showed texture that I didn’t know was a thing on my skin. The scent. The feel the look... nope. I adore CYO life proof sad it’s being discontinued. Lancôme Renergie is a favorite foundation as well as Chanel velvet Le Teint... are some holy grails. Even Mac face and body as a mixer. I love foundation to enhance my skin not cover it completely. I have 2 melisma spot. Like a dime. Will break out here and there. But I can’t stand makeup that is heavy. I want my skin to feel comfortable. Something that fades well and is not adding to my fine lines and or pores. I washed my face in the 4 1/2 mark. Tried again. Went supper light. And still it was tacky no mater the powder. Setting spray. I had disco- cheeks by the 3rd hour. Plus I changed my priming. 3rd day no primer. Thin layer. Changed powder. And still was a fly trap for any fuzzy or hair!!! 🤭😞 Owning a husky! Hahaha! Nope! I like a foundation that give somewhat of a dry down. Because I don’t always set my face. Just the Tzone. Anastasias’ new foundation hmmm. Peanut butter. Didn’t care for it. The colors are hard to match and yet again it’s thick. The only thick’ish foundation I care for is a BB cream. Hahaha.

That's the tricky thing about a lot of this! People think, oh, I'm fine, no sensitivities here - but they can pop up out of the blue. I recently switched out all of my laundry products to fragrance free after having trouble determining what was causing an allergic dermatitis reaction. We never figured out the cause but I'm sticking with the fragrance free detergents anyway.

I’m very thankful when you let your viewers know if something is highly fragranced and scented. Or if lip products are perfume-y, have a chemical smell & taste.

It seems to set wonderfully for some and not at all for others (Angie at Hot and Flashy had a similar experience to mine). I have a feeling there's a body chemistry issue that determines whether the ingredients set down or not. The people it works for seem to be loving it! ThaTaylaa had a positive review of it last night.

Thank you for another awesome review! I bought this shade in 145 and it’s a little too light 😣 I’ve had a similar experience with it needing to be set with powder then getting cakey. This foundation does settle in my smile lines and furrow line between my brows and nose folds. I’ve tried it with multiple primers and so far the only one that it is decent with is my Tatcha silk canvas primer.
I liked the foundation!! I also liked the eye look. Perhaps a tutorial on the Milani

I tried the FB foundation when it first came out, I was very hopeful but it didn't work for me, it felt heavy and actually kind of dry on my skin, it would settle into my pores and lines, for being a hydrating foundation I was expecting much more, I tried different primers and sunscreens, I'd mix it with other foundations, even with a few drops of oil trying to make it work, and it did, but it was just a waste of time so I ended up exchanging it for the ABH luminous foundation and I loved it! that was a perfect shade match and even though it doesn't claim to be hydrating it actually feels more hydrating than the Fenty one... love your videos, hugzzzz 🤗

This looked pretty good, but I hate when I can feel the foundation all day. Might be worth grabbing a sample next time I'm in Sephora, but I don't want to pay this much for something that isn't comfortable. Off to watch Thataylaa's video to see how her opinion compares to yours!
Definitely dewy. Your skin looks very nice Shelly, the peeling looks to have slowed or stopped. The shade looked really nice when you applied it. I hate when a foundation feels obvious or heavy. :-/ Those are usually the ones that migrate into my lines and wrinkles and transfer as well. I saw the new Milani eyeshadow palettes at Walmart yesterday. The other gilded one is mostly greens which looks gorgeous! Did you by chance get that one too?
The green one was out of stock when I went! I got the rouge, the violet, and the dark/smoky one. So far Rouge is awesome, Violet is a pass, and I haven't tried the dark one yet!

Geek Out of Water truly... I hated this foundation. Just one light layer and I felt it... my husband looked at me and said, is that a new foundation? Good or bad I asked. 👎🏻 he’s like. I love you. I said haha that’s a nope! Hahaha! He’s like I can see it... it’s not like your skin but better.

Yeah I'd get a sample first. It's on the super dewy side of the fence, and you kind of have to want that to make it work as well.
Oh my gosh, the part about having to sneeze but wanting to keep your eyes open cuz you just put on mascara! Oh man that happens to me and I don't even wear foundation 😅 You totally brought back fond memories of Mythbusters for me though!! ♥️ They worked on busting the myth that your eyes pop out of your head when you sneeze and roll across the floor - spoiler alert, but good news for us, they busted it!

Did it kind of remind you of the orignal Fenty foundation, but a hydrating version? Maybe that doesnt make sense, but that is kinda what I was feeling from it. It also reminded me of the KVD Lock It in a way, but again that is a matte and this one is definitely dewy. 150 matches my neck perfectly though so I bought it anyway in the hopes that I can use it as a mix-in. It's hard to find a perfect skin match for me so I had to get it, even if I wasn't totally sold on the formula. I really think it might be nice to bump up coverage with other foundations. Here's to hoping anyway. Otherwise I wasted another $50 on a foundation that will just go unused and then rancid in my ever mounting collection. Foundation is one makeup product I find nearly impossible to declutter for some reason. They are like a collection of my little trophies as I hunt for the perfect one. I picked up samples of the foundation 2 days ago. Personally, I'm not overly impressed. Both colors are too light, and have a strange undertone. It definitely enhanced texture between my eyebrows. I'm definitely liking and sticking with the ABH Luminous foundation.
Shelly, I think it looks good on your skin, but even for you, I thought the ABH looked smoother. I too find that this feels a bit heavy on the face.

Oh yes - I will definitely reach for the ABH over this. I've worn the ABH a dozen times already. And it's just one notch less dewy, which I prefer.

@@goow I think the ABH side looked more luminous, and didn't seem to settle onto dry patch, or settle into fine lines. Today, I'm wearing a full face of the Fenty, and it's not the right color, and just looks drab.
I forgot to ask Rachel what she thought of the ABH. She picked up a sample the other day. My girls definitely aren't makeup crazy like I was and still am. My mother had a massive collection of lipsticks, always wore winged liner, and false eyelashes even just to go to the grocery store!! LOL.

I picked this one up too. My shade is 140 (which is what they suggested as a match for the Estee Lauder 1W1 bone ) I've only tried it once so far and I do like it. I also want to try it with different things to see how it works with different products. I hope you find the perfect combo as you play around with it. :)
I suspect this will be a good mixer - I'm thinking maybe with a more matte foundation that possibly doesn't wear as long. Take down the dew just a smidge and help the other one last longer.
Ok so playing around with this today and I think I finally found a way to make it look nice all on its own.
I used Mac Strobe Cream as a primer, bounced one extremely light layer of foundation on and then bounced another lighter layer where I needed extra coverage using a damp sponge (I sprayed my sponge with a setting spray too), then let it dry down some and finally went in with a very finely milled powder. I used Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Natural Lighting Powder which is a luminous powder. Finally, after I applied all my makeup I set it down with the Moprhe setting mist and short of having to tap out a few creases once it has looked fantastic so far and I am 6 hours in. It's not sticky on my face anymore, but still looks dewy and luminous, it's not heavy as I struggled with before, and I'm not losing coverage and it's not doing that weird thing where its dewy but looks dry in bits. Oh and even my bf said it looks good. I'm actually totally loving it today. Oh also I used a mineral sunscreen. I really think the powder and the strobe cream were the saviours here though!
I'm definitely going to keep playing with this one because it's very pretty, for sure. I'll try that layering technique!
I can't work with Talc in my foundation so this one is a "nope" for me. I also find it weird that all of the primers and original foundation have the really pretty glass bottle (though breakable!) and this one has "meh" packaging.

I just tried this (same skin type as you) and returned it because I felt it sat on top of my skin and did nothing to enhance it. I came home with the new MAC stick and Bobbi Brown Skin liquid. Could you review one or both of those? Curious what you think of them.

I'm glad you said something about the packaging. Every other reviewer I've seen said it was nice but you can't look at the beautiful frosty glass packaging of the original and think this looks good. Plus, it's plastic! Rant over.

It does get points for the undertone seeming a proper cool pink instead of warm peach.... the perfomance - interesting. Not my favourite I've seen on you, but after seeing how abysmal it looked on Taylor (she reviewed it today too), I was expecting it to be way worse than it is. Don't think it's for me though, I need one that works a bit better with setting (and it's really not a $52 performing foundation - for that price I expect it to look a lot nicer) - living in NQ with its heat & humidity you really need to set foundation or it slides off your face in a couple of hours (plus my incoming little lines/wrinkles do far better with a set foundation).
Me, I don't like dewy but if I had a foundation that was exceptionally dewy then I'd use my Clinique powder over the top. I do want to hear more about this Becca powder! I did see someone using it and really liked it as well. I almost got some during the Ulta sale but didn't. Damn. I should have instead of the UD Born to Run.
The Becca powder is really cool! (pun intended lol) It's such an interesting and bizarre sensation the first time trying it - it's got a very cool sensation and feels literally wet. But it's not. I have heard that the cooling goes away long before you run out of powder, but they have a travel size now which seems to me like it might solve that problem. It's also very pretty and blurring on the skin, so surely you could use it even after the "hydra-mist" feature wears off. I'm enjoying it! I love the Born to Run palette too so I don't think you could've gone wrong between the two :)

Also, I'm wondering if the comfortability (it is a word 😝) might be due to the Becca powder. The foundation is dewy enough that I think the hydrating powder makes it feel like that.
yeah this one didn't interest me even a little. I have been using the ABH. I have also been using and really liking the derma blend drops. they are very nice. weird-ish shade range but I mix a couple. and its very smooth.

I also love that we're pretty much the same foundation shades because it helps me color match. Sephora isn't always perfect with their online tool. Unfortunately I will be returning the Stellar foundation I ordered with this Fenty one because it's the right cool neutral tone but far darker than my neck chest and upper arms. The finish was great I think so I might re order it or just replace my Dior Forever. It was my go too foundation till they reformulated and took away my shade 014.
Have you tried either the Stellar or Dior Forever? I'm of course going to go back through your video history in the morning 🤣
It seems like the more shades a foundation has, the less likely I am to find my shade. But I can still make it work with catrice darkening drops. 200 is the perfect undertone for me, just a bit too light. If I go any darker than that, the undertone is off for me. I still liked it, though.

Yes I can definitely see mixing this with something a little more matte to tone down the dew a little bit and potentially help the other foundation last longer.
I got mine during the VIB sale, but I thought it was lightweight but not enough coverage. I also find that Fenty foundations work best with Fenty primers. I know...But once I tried it, I got the best performance out of the foundation. I did find that using a different primer, like Catrice hydrating primer, the foundation would not set. Powder is horrible over it, especially when I tried setting my eyes.

Everyone I know that's tried the CT Light Wonder loves it. I personally have a hard time with her base products because most have broken me out but the Light Wonder doesn't have a shade fair enough for me so even if I was willing to risk it, I couldn't use it lol

I’m waiting for your review on this foundation. It didn’t not workout for me. This is too dewy on me and did not last on my skin. This didn’t fade nicely on me.
It's definitely on that borderline of too dewy, and I imagine anyone with even slightly oily skin would have trouble with the shine levels.
There have been so many new foundation launches lately but none have really interested me. I think part of it is makeup fatigue. I'm just so tired of the nonstop launches and I haven't seen anything recently that would be a quality addition to my collection
I found this foundation sat very strangely on top of my skin and I have not been able to make it work, regardless of how I apply it. I think I bought into the hype prior to its release - never again.

This new formula is HORRIBLE. I returned it. You nailed the truth with this review. I have normal to dry 50 year old skin. This foundation NEVER sets unless you set with powder. The original formula sets and has very little transfer. I never use powder on my face b/c I am 50 and I never need to with good foundations. I love Fenty product but this got a big no. No Fandom for this.

Sarah Roehl the Soap and Glory brand (also sold at Walgreens) is supposed to be a CYO dup. It’s more expensive but still in the drugstore price range.

@@sarahroehl I use shade 101, the lightest one, in CYO and the lightest in the Soap and Glory version is the same color. I can only attest to this one shade but if there is a corresponding shade to your CYO one, it's quite possible it would work.

I've been wearing a bunch of the CoverGirl Matte Made (which isn't really matte on me), and some of the new releases - the ABH Luminous, Tarte Foundcealer, PUR Love Your Selfie... and I've been back into light coverage on hot days (it was 92 today so we're still in summer here!) with the Kosas tinted face oil and the Clarins skin illusion.
The fragrance is a disappointment. Sounds like it would trigger an instant headache for me. All of these piles of new foundation releases fall short of the mark in one way or another it seems, and I don't feel like buying any of them. Just waiting for your review on the new Charlotte Tilbury, which I'm assuming is eventually coming. :)
Yes!! I got lucky and Sephora had a sample offer of shade 3 Cool. I was between shade 2 Cool and 3 Cool and couldn't decide - so I bought the new ABH eyeshadow palette and got the sample, and of course if I love it I'll know if 3 Cool is too dark or not when I buy the full size :) It should be coming Monday or Tuesday!

Vassi Bieber yes and I have dry combo skin. Tzone gets oily. It felt heavy like oh yes ... wearing makeup. I can’t stand that feeling. Showed texture that I didn’t know was a thing on my skin.
The scent. The feel the look... nope. I adore CYO life proof sad it’s being discontinued.
Lancôme Renergie is a favorite foundation as well as Chanel velvet Le Teint... are some holy grails. Even Mac face and body as a mixer.
I love foundation to enhance my skin not cover it completely. I have 2 melisma spot. Like a dime. Will break out here and there. But I can’t stand makeup that is heavy. I want my skin to feel comfortable. Something that fades well and is not adding to my fine lines and or pores.
I washed my face in the 4 1/2 mark. Tried again. Went supper light. And still it was tacky no mater the powder. Setting spray. I had disco- cheeks by the 3rd hour. Plus I changed my priming. 3rd day no primer. Thin layer. Changed powder. And still was a fly trap for any fuzzy or hair!!! 🤭😞 Owning a husky! Hahaha!
Nope! I like a foundation that give somewhat of a dry down. Because I don’t always set my face. Just the Tzone.
Anastasias’ new foundation hmmm. Peanut butter. Didn’t care for it. The colors are hard to match and yet again it’s thick. The only thick’ish foundation I care for is a BB cream. Hahaha.
