I have two or three containers of brightly colored binder clips that I can’t seem to get rid of! I will never have that much paperwork again that I would ever need more than a handful of them, but I guess I just think they are too cute to give away. I had bought them for my dad when I was helping organize his office many years ago, and he has since died, but I kept the binder clips! Thanks for the video, I think I will keep one container and take the rest to work and put with the other office supplies for others to use.

I used excess binder clips as chip and bag clips in my pantry. I like them much better than the plastic clips that are designed for that purpose.

I was going to say the thing about the chip clips I use clothes spins for chip clips but I know lots of other people will use binder chips to close up anything bags of rice. This colorful binder clips might be something that's pretty on display I mean if they actually make you happy and you don't want to get rid of them maybe you can display them. You also might be more prone to use them if they're displayed. Or you could keep a smaller amount of them. And bringing them to work is a great idea!! It might live in things up a bit in an office.

I gave away a beautiful soup tureen that my best friend gave me as a wedding present because I had never used it in 10 years. Well, not long after that, I missed my soup tureen and went out and bought another one to replace the one I gave away because I missed seeing the original one where I used to keep it. You might want to utilize a quarantine box, where you put things in a box and label it with a date, and if you haven't missed what's in it for maybe 3 or 6 months, then get rid of it. It helps if you or someone in your home struggles with regrets like that.

This episode is one of my favorites so far, but the husband comment - OMG, my boyfriend is *exactly* the same, it's like you took the words out of his mouth. It drives me bonkers, his keeping everything "because he has space, and it's not bothering anybody". I keep telling him he'll one day run out of space, but to no avail. So I have been decluttering even more of *my* stuff, just to make room for his. Go figure. Love your channel btw, I always come back to it when I need some decluttering motivation. Lots of great tips. I’d like to add Pdf-scan app on your smartphone can be a middle-ground of completely throwing away different type of papers and pictures. It can be stored as files that can both be easyily read online and Quick to print If you’d need it in physical form again.
I did this with my manuals for products from brands more uncommon, like when bought at Lidl or from some local cheap-stuff store.
It soothes me to not be depending on someone else having the manuals.

Great landlord example. My main thought on this was also around all this false hope about “potential.” This is oh so true about people as well as stuff. Naw babes, we ain’t waiting around for your rap career to finally take off or whatever. Lol. 🙄🙄🤣🤣
Def it’s perfectly fine to let go of the “not hurting anyone” stuff. That stuff is like people who insist on spending the night when the party’s actually over. Often it’s just more trouble than it’s worth.
I quarantined a whole box of stuff and after about a month, the only single thing I ever needed was this one cleaning brush. Again tho, I could just go buy one for about a dollar if I had to. Now I can’t even remember what all else was in that box. Lol.

I keep the hope I'll be able to occupy myself with my hobbies again when those kids grow a tiny bit, like in... five years maybe? :D :D Is it a silly idea?
